Great location! Near Tian’Anmen Square. Nice shopping and dining within the hutongs. The rooms are okay. Towels are changed daily.
Room did not have sufficient heating, if there was a heater to begin with. Dirt and cobwebs under the beds and to think there is daily housekeeping. When I tried borrowing a vacuum cleaner, the hotel does not have any. We stayed for 6 nights and linens and beddings were not changed. Girls at front desk not so friendly and helpful. The guy at the door is more helpful especially in storing luggages.
Good location Good staff Clean room
It has an excellent location
We were there for 4 days in December, It wasn’t clean, is clearly that they do not clean the bedroom even before changing guests, we found someone’s underwear in our bedroom, the staff was anything near from kind, didn’t speak English they gave us our bedroom in the 6th floor and there is no elevator that reaches that floor so you have to take the stairs to go up but the location is good and you kind of get what you pay
Great location, just south of Tianemen Square and close to Metro. Restaurants all over. Tourist area and old part of Beijing outside you door. Store and tour booking available at the hotel.
Very basic room, but it was very inexpensive. I did not expect more.
The location is great, next to Hutongs, a street with supermarkets, local and tourist shops and many, many restaurants and stalls. For those who need western food, there is a McDonalds and Starbucks 5 min away. The south entrance of Tiananmen is about 12 min to walk nearest subway station), the entrance of the forbidden city about 30 min by foot. Our room has been quite big (we stayed in a deluxe room) with sofa, desk and a table. Staff has been friendly, spacceptable English and helpfull (e.g. to arrange airport transport). Breakfast was ok, they serve 4 hot and 3 cold chinese dishes (always the same during the two weeks we stayed there), but also toast, butter, some kind of marmelate, boild and fried eggs (cold) and fruit as well as coffee and tea (all you can eat for about 3$). As we were in Peking at winter time, it has been important that the room has been heated well. As very often in China, the temperature in breakfast room has been quite low, a jacket / sweatshirt is recomended at winter time. Beds were comfortable. All technical installation worked. WiFi was available, but at very low speed (good for emails only). Seems to be more an issue of the public network then the hotel wlan. Applying standards of other middle class chinese hotels, the rooms have been clean. But do not expect European standards. The room we stayed was a little rundown and requires some refurbishment , e.g. paint for walls and bathroom. Windows / curtains may be cleaned a little more often. You may also hear your neighbours if they are engaged in a loud dispute. Summary: Excellent location, excellent value, but do not expect a 5 Star room for the price you can get there. Recomandation: choose one of the deluxe rooms as they are quite spacy and cost a few $ more..
Cleaning the room is more then a few wipes with a broom.
