The staff from the lobby to the reception, dining areas were all friendly and helpful
The carpets in the hall way looked dirty and smelt really bad on the 9th floor, the room smelt like bad everytime the Aircon went off, very musky.
Location is not in the center but easy to get everywhere.
The staff where friendly enough Gym is good
If it is your first time in Bangkok do not stay here it will ruin your experience. Maybe have a look at Chinatown and make sure the area is for you. No bars no restaurants that you can sit down that aren’t street also area does smell. I know this is Bangkok as a whole does smell but Chinatown seems to be much worse. They is pretty much nothing in walking distance. Also no pool and the spa is an extra cost. The food was expensive was nice but did have better when I visited Bangkok at the beginning of my holiday. Breakfast buffet was not the best not worth the extra money. Rooms are big and clean but need updating and also joined onto the room next door so can hear every time they talk. The excursions are about 200 more got offered 700 baht for taxi from the excursion desk in reception but decided to flag one down which security down stairs helped and only cost 450 baht. Overall I wouldn’t return luckily it wasn’t my first time in Bangkok because I think it would of ruined what I thought of the place but was my first time in china town which I won’t be returning to .
Hotel: Great breakfast, take time to enjoy it. Coffee is brewed in a glas can like 20 years ago, and I like this better than the one produced by contemporary fully automated machines. Anyway, all complains on a high level. It was a great experience, the very first Bangkok staying.
Hotel room: The air conditioning was placed wrong in our room - it pointed exactly at the bed and there was no chance to turn it off during the hot November nights. Transportation: BTS and MRT stop operation at midnight. Taxi drivers refuse to use taxi meter after midnight. TucTucs are expensive. Stay late near the hotel, which is not very near to a city center (> 2km). Or consider Grab (taxi).
The breakfast is amazing, the room is spacious, clean with a great view.
The staff could be more smiley but I guess it’s a matter of local habits. The elevators after 1 week I still couldn’t understand how they worked.
