The room was very clean which we loved. Didn't expect this level of cleanliness from a hostel to be honest. Also the room was spacious. The location is as good as you can get in general, right in the center of Amsterdam and near the central station. Overall a very value for money choice.
Main issue was the staff. Other than the lady in the check-in (thank you for letting us check-in early, you are a life saver!) and the really kind guy in the afternoon, everyone else would not even say good morning, not a slight smile, nothing. Rude overall. The towels they give (you need to ask for them, they are not in the room) are overused, ripped at the sides and with old stains on them. They give them for free at least, which is not common practice at hostels, so that's a plus. Also having the checkout at 10 am is way too early, especially when you have paid for a private room.
It's more than fine but there's a whole city out there to explore - the bars happy hours are good too...
All ways easy to get in an out of staff bang on drinks and food quality for dam
I stayed a few times now allwasy spot on but its just had a face lift looks very well
Location. The room seems clean. Heater is effective.
No elevator, though this is expected. The picture shows a bit spacious room with three solo beds that seems to be moveable. However, the room given to us, a couple, was too small, maybe 6sqm, and the bed couldn't be moved to each other due to the really small size of the room. The sink was too small and is quite a challenge to rinse after brushing your teeth or clean your face due to the metal rod above - perhaps for hanging towels. Bath towels and towel for feet are not readily available, we needed to ask. The water doesn't really warm much, sometimes not at all. This hotel is actually okay just for sleeping and washing yourself. Cheaper than nearby hotels but it's not worth the price.
convenient location, less than two minutes from the red light District. Because of this, the property wasn't always quiet while in our room but didn't bother us. Ground floor/ bar and breakfast area islarge, clean and well decorated.
the price to stay, though we were fairly last minute, was steep for what was offered. Whilst we appreciated it was a hostel, the room was bland and unfilled.
