Pros: Huge rooms , too comfort , amazing outdoor pool, fantastic people , can not describe by words, just be there
Cons: Too good to be forbidden
Pros: Wonderful hotel, exquisite design, beautiful rooms & interior. Staff was extremely friendly and the dinner at the Restaurant as well as the breakfast were amazing. Definitely (one of) the best hotels I've been to. Recommend 100% and we will definitely be back!
Pros: Everything! The room & bathroom were very spacious. Great selection in the breakfast buffet Great selection in the in-room dining Great movie selection on TV It was a very relaxing stay
Pros: Super hotel, stuff is very nice, very dog friendly! We even got a bed for our dog and a little snack for her. The only minor thing that dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area, but this is understandable and I wouldn't complain about that. Otherwise - always got water for our dog without even asking about it. Breakfast is super, you have everything you can imagine. Also it is very stylish. Not all 5* hotels have this nice modern design, but here I really enjoyed every detail.
This eco-friendly design hotel in Andermatt is just 500 metres from the Gemsstock Cable Car and the Nätschen Ski Lift. Rooms in this 280-year-old building are individually decorated with traditional wooden furniture and floors. All rooms at The River House Boutique Hotel feature an iPod docking station and contain a bathroom with a hairdryer. Guests benefit from free WiFi and free use of an iMac. The River House Hotel’s bar serves fresh home-made dishes and local specialities. The breakfast buffet includes fresh breads and homemade regional products. Various coffees and wines are available at the bar, which regularly offers live music. In fine weather, guests can relax on the sun terrace and rent bicycles. Andermatt Train Station is 600 metres away.
Pros: The building has good character and is well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar is a lovely place to relax in the evening.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t impressive and I had a hair in my eggs.
Pros: This B&B is extraordinary. The owners Sara and Kevin are on-sight and available to assist with all questions on what to do and how to get there. The staff especially May were awesome. The rooms are very large and the views are great. Some excellent restaurants in town.
Cons: We loved everything.
Pros: The setting, the atmosphere, the people.
Pros: Location of the hotel is perfect for Andermatt. The hotel is clearly one of the best in a developing village and the owner is absolutely very proactive like all the staff.
Pros: We loved everything! Staff was amazing, food delicious and carefully prepared, room was very beautiful, bed, pillows and linens were the best, location gorgeous on the river and in center of town. Perfection!
Cons: Nothing could have been better. Best experience! Food was so good that we only ate at hotel!
Pros: Lovely place in delightful setting right by the river
Pros: They where really flexible with the check out. I could keep the room key to access the ski room until late in the afternoon.
Pros: Friendly manager. Wonderful city. Local grocery (COOP) is in same building.
Pros: Room spotless with great view, and excellent breakfast. Loved our visit here
Pros: Family-friendly and excellent location.
Pros: Andermatt was the perfect place to be based for some cycling of the local passes and the Alpenhotel Schlüssel was a great place to stay, with friendly staff, a great breakfast and lockable bike room (ski room). We enjoyed our stay at the Alpenhotel Schlüssel and would stay there again if we were in Andermatt.
Pros: The property had a free private parking, which was very convenient and appreciated. Definitely recommended
Pros: Close to all the main village amenities - shops, bars, restaurants, etc - whilst being just a few minutes' walk from the station; rooms (all, I think, with balconies) are pleasant (if rather bland, in the typical Swiss chalet style), with views of the mountains above the other buildings in the village; hard-working owner was pleasant and helpful; nice big bath towels, and the shower didn't soak the bathroom floor (as so often happens in hotels); useful, very large Co-Op supermarket downstairs
Cons: Lack of a star-rating makes it difficult to know what to expect and to assess it fairly - I think it's a reasonably solid three-star (whatever its official status) and have rated it accordingly; the cold buffet breakfast was OK but a bit limited
Pros: Fabulous friendly host, amazing location, spotless clean and great breakfast. Loved it so much we stayed an extra night.
With a stay at Hotel 3 Könige & Post in Andermatt, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Andermatt Museum and 6 minutes by foot from Gemsstock Cable Car. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very good restaurant, and perfect location
Cons: There was a drunken altercation in the next room at 2 AM. They wouldn't stop fighting even when I knocked on the wall. There is no staff on duty at night at this hotel. You could hear all of this commotion at the desk but no one was there. When I mentioned all of this to the desk staff they said they could do nothing about it. They could at least hire one person to answer a phone.
Pros: Lovely hotel in the perfect place, half way between the two lifts. Delightful staff, comfortable rooms. Basic spa facilities if you want it. Much more charming than the new hotels, in a much better place, with friendly staff and delicious food.
Cons: Jacuzzi was a a little cold for my tastes, and we had problems with the shower not draining properly (this was reported and not solved, and I see others here have mentioned it, so I suspect they have a plumbing issue).
Pros: The entire stay was wonderful, the staff, the location, the room had an awesome balcony and as expected it was really clean and tidy.

Altdorf is 30 km away and the Gotthard Pass can be reached within 10 minutes by car.
Pros: The staff is very very friendly and helpful.
Pros: Location and the friendly staff
Cons: Facilities on the room are minimal. Lights were dim as well.
Pros: Well located in the village, great breakfast, very friendly staff
Pros: Nice choice overall, good food and great location. Well appointed rooms, somewhat rustic style, nice warm douvets. Restaurant is very popular, so it is better to book dinner in advance. Ski room and parking are a great plus.
Cons: The breakfast staff wasn't friendly nor were they paying much attention to the guests, giving a kind of feeling that the guests are a kind of burden, while the stuff have other things to do or discuss. The rooms seem to get sprayed with some sort of air freshener, which made one cough upon entering the room and required a thorough ventilation prior to settlling in.
Pros: Excellent hotel in the middle of town, friendly owner and staff, reasonable food, slightly pricy, but comparable to the rest of the town. Would definitely stay again.
With a stay at Badus in Andermatt, you'll be on a river, just a 4-minute walk from Basecamp Andermatt and 6 minutes by foot from Andermatt Museum. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Family staff is really nice, they like their job.
Cons: Old-fashioned, cheap decor from 70’s. It really needs redecoration.
Pros: Location & looked like it had been recently refurbished.
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure and hot water temp was good!
Cons: When we went down to breakfast there was not a table with our room # on it. Someone forgot to tell the breakfast lady we stayed there. She gave us a place to sit, but then proceeded to set up another table before asking if we wanted coffee....talk about feeling like second class guests....everyone already dining was passing judgement on us simply by their looks at us....
Pros: Position, the breakfast was ok.
Cons: the hotel room was old fashioned, there was a sink in the room with a big mixer tap like a kitchen sink, the bathroom had a curtain which is not at all modern. there was a single bed in my room as well as the double, room too big for one.
Located in Andermatt, Hotel Aurora is only 40 metres from the cable car station Andermatt – Gemsstock. It offers rooms with a satellite TV, seating area and free WiFi. The rooms of the Aurora have carpeted floors and wooden elements in their interior décor. Each has a work desk, and every private bathroom has a hairdryer and shower. The Aurora has a lounge and a sun terrace. Guests also have access to the sauna (for an extra charge). The hotel also provides ski storage facilities. The Urserenwald forest is less than 100 metres away. The Andermatt Railway Station is within 500 metres. There are free parking spaces in front of the house. The hotel has an à la carte restaurant. It serves local as well as international dishes. In the mornings a breakfast buffet is available.
Pros: Older hotel, very simple and plain rooms but spotlessly clean. The hotel may be on the budget side, but the view is million dollar. Location is perfect for winter. Right beside the Gemstock lift. Breakfast is traditional Swiss fare and the view from the restaurant and bar is outstanding.
Cons: Rooms are very plain, but in excellent condition in line with hotel price though.
Pros: Good breakfast nice view
Pros: Fantastic location, right at the edge of the village, but still felt central as restaurants, shops, museum all a short walk of a couple of minutes away and about 5 to 10 minutes to train station. I had a beautiful view of the mountain from my room, which was a basic but very comfortable room. Loveliest thing is in evening to take stroll down the main road towards the cable car lift (closed at the time) and just listen, listen to the quiet, the bells on the animals...beautiful. Just beyond is also a campsite and the other road through the village, onto into the valley. Check in and out was easy and flexible, you get 2 keys, 1 for the room and 1 for the front door which is locked late evening. Lovely furnishings in the hall, welcoming and comfortable, with push button activation timer lights in hall ways. Breakfast in the restaurant area (restaurant itself was closed off season) continental breakfast, decent strong coffee, choice of breads, croissant, yoghurt, cheese, preserves, cereal, etc. Room I had was a double for a solo traveller, very generous in space and storage, very comfortable and great price. If you just want basics, don't need much luxury, are going to just need a place to relax, charge the phone, and sleep after a day of adventure with comfort and aren't fussy about letting yourself in, it will suit you. Staff friendly and do best to accomodate your needs for your stay. A tip: only follow Google maps for directions if you really want a walk through one side of the village and miss the central part. If departing from the train station, with your back to the station turn left towards tourist office and then right, follow the cobble stone main road through the village, over the bridge and to the end of the village. On the left is the hotel. You can get a nice village map in the tourist office which while not to scale gives an idea of the interesting walks of Andermatt, in an overview.
Cons: My only thing is that i would trade the flat screen tv for a kettle, a mug and some coffee or hot chocolate supply. You're surrounded by views, stunning views, why would you waste that for tv??
Pros: Nice village. Only a few restaurants open. We stayed off season so hotel was empty.
Pros: Nice breakfast.
Cons: No curtains by the window...
Pros: Excellent friendly & helpful staff.
Cons: No problems here!
Pros: Clean and well placed hotel. Rooms were simple but pleasant. Location is amazing a few metres from the lift.

The ski bus stop is only 50 metres away from the hotel. In the summertime guests can go hiking, climbing, paragliding, golfing or go fishing. It is also possible to go hiking in the winter and take the sledge back down to Hotel Schweizerhof. Andermatt is a 90-minute drive away from Zurich or Lugano. It can be reached within 10 minutes' drive from the Göschenen exit of the A2 motorway.
Pros: We liked and really appreciated the "old style" vibes of this hotel. Simple but tasty breakfast, marmalade in big jars, a couple of choices of yogurt and cereals, fresh bread. Nice dining area cladded in wood and polite staff.
Cons: overall nothing we disliked
Pros: Sweet traditional old Swiss building. In the middle of andermatt, nice helpful staff. Delicious restaurant
Pros: The location was fantastic! Close to bars, restaurants and of course the cable car. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom updated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Pros: Right in the centre of town very near to everything station - ski shop - ski lift - bars - hospital- Restaurant’s- post office
