Pros: The staff really were helpful at every turn. The location is perfect. Right across from a park and lake. My Room was small - not a wasted cm. The shower too very nice rain style shower but efficiently small. Breakfast very simple with instant coffee. Nice dining areas inside and outside on the shaded patio. Clean bright professional interior design. Very efficient in every way. Looks to have an excellent bike shop, next time!!

Cons: If you do not speak german , you are lost in this hotel. Difficult to find a reception person at the reception desk even in the restricted times they say they are there. Only 1 person to do many other things. They would not refill breakfast food, somebody eat the pineaple? ... then there it remains the empty fruit, somebody eat the cheese before you arrived?, ...not your lucky day. Somebody eat the scambled eggs ...they would just get the corners of the trey together for you to enjoy the small left-overs. They assume the customer will find out everything in the hotel by herself. Hotel does not accept credit cards for payments. Check out time very early at 11:00 am. They charge as a hotel , the building is nice and confy, but they service like a youth hostel.

Cons: A bit old school luxury in decor and in the room for our tastes which made it feel more cramped than it needed to be. Also, our reserved room said ‘sea view’ but our room did not really have one.

Pros: As on previous visits to Tiefwarensee, the staff were helpful & welcoming. Our room and the whole hotel were clean and fresh and the setting is outstanding: surrounded by gardens and a small wooded area. Access to the town, with many cafes, restaurants and small shops, is a 10 minute walk. Breakfast is good with constant replacement as food is taken.

Pros: This outstanding hotel is situated in what can only be described as a mini "Kew Gardens", surrounded on three sides by a beautiful lake. Stroll through the gardens and visit the enormous orchid and cacti greenhouses - just amazing. Plenty of car parking is a bonus. There are two beautiful buildings, one housing the restaurant and accomodation and the other just accomodation. Our room was huge by any standards but located at the rear of the propertry overlooking the car park. Such a shame we didnt have a room at the side or the front which have views of the gardens and lakes. We dined in all three nights of our stay and were initially concerned at the small menu, however it is changed on a daily basis. The food and service was outstanding. Similarly, breakfast was excellent with a huge choice. The hotel employs some staff with difficulties - either learning or physical. All staff however gave 100%. I have no hesitation in recomending this really lovely hotel.

Cons: Be aware that when they say the rooms are small, they mean very small. While the windows had screens, even when opened there was very little air, making the claustrophobic room feel even smaller.

Cons: Unfortunately there were no phones in the hotel to call and the room was starting to show its age a little bit. Power outlets were not easily within reach of the bed, unfortunately. Having dinner in the hotel was also not possible around my check-in time. But for the price, the room was noticable smaller than other hotels I stayed with in the same week.

Cons: Dirty room. It seemed as noone cared to clean it: dust, dirty forks in the kitchenette, besides i found parts of broken hair accesories and jewelery on the carpet. A cracked mirror in bath. That was very unpleasant since I travelled with a small child. Very noisy: ice-cafe and other restaurants right beneath the room windows, on the crossroad. I also was surprised that the invoice was calculated for 2 adults, which includes local taxes and should be less for a child I guess.

Pros: The staff were friendly and although this is a motel above a bowling alley in a retail park it was surprisingly quiet in my room, even when I opened the window. This was a functional stop over on a cycle ride to Poland and served that purpose very well, at a good price by German standards.
