Pros (+) I enjoyed the location, and the staff was very accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and (with the exception of the night and morning noises from the adjacent room's toilet) it was very quiet and peaceful. The window has a wonderful view of the canal. I was warned that Giudecca (the island) was not a good place to stay because it takes so long to travel to Venice, but that's simply not true...
Cons (-) Wifi only works in the lobby. What traveler wants to be limited to that tiny area? Who wants to conduct private business like banking online while surrounded by strangers? It's an unsafe and inconvenient practice. And even there the reception for the wifi was spotty. I would suggest better wifi for the modern traveler.
