Pros: The staff phoned one of their sister hotels and were able to get us another room when the noise outside became too much and sleep impossible. They gave us directions to the parking lot. The location was in the middle of town.
Cons: The noise from people partying outside the hotel was incredible and made sleep impossible. We had to walk to the sister hotel at 2.30 in the morning with our suitcases. The hotel was cold with no heat in the bathroom.

Pros: This beautiful hotel is in an excellent location. We had a standard room and it was still extremely spacious. All the staff were friendly, from reception, to the restaurant, to the cleaning staff. This hotel represented excellent value for money in the very expensive Netherlands
Cons: Can’t fault this property. The only thing I would say is that the reception staff were over run during the peak check out/in period, and the phone was also ringing. Might be a better look to have someone in the back office picking up the phone during peak time. That said the reception staff managed to stay cool and calm!

Cons: Very central to many attractions. About10 mins walk away from the train station which makes it easily acessible. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable. I would definately recommend it and stay again someother time.

Cons: Shower didn't drain meaning that it overflowed within 10 minutes. Bed was worn out, so that you sunk in too far.

Pros: The location was good and the room had everything we needed for a one night stay. It was a clean and decent room with enough space for the two of us. Nothing extraordinary, but a cosy and clean room.
Cons: In our bathroom was some kind of a filter in the roof. At night we would hear a rattling sound which would only stop if we took out our room card from the electricity switch. Therefore we couldn't charge our phones during the night. Also the staff was really unkind the next day. We complained at night about the sounds, and the staff that worked at night made an extra note for the staff working the next morning. I believe they made a note to offer us some kind of refund as we kept waking up. The staff that helped us the next morning whistled to each other contemplating if they should do something with the extra note made - and in the end we paid the full price. It gave us a very unwelcoming and unkind feeling. It would've been nicer if they were honest and offered me something and then in the end I would still probably decline. But I dont think this was very hospitable.

We went also bowling which was great to have as a facility. Pool was good and also sauna. Tanning and jacuzzi you have to pay for. Rooms were spacious and ours was overlooking the lake which was lovely. Overall a very good hotel to stay in Utrecht as there is a bus stop a couple of minutes away that connects you to the city centre in no time.

As a frequent work & leisure traveller, I can say that this hotel is one of the most cleanest and hospitable there is, also very charming! The room is spacious, modern, super-clean and easy to utilise. The decor is outstanding and very comfortable. The staff is overwhelming to assist and care for your accommodation. I will definitely be coming back, but for a holiday :)

Pros: Incredibly dark room. The bathrooms need to be renovated, they look dirty but are in fact just falling apart. Don't arrive by car, the parking fees are horrendous (Day pass ~29 Euro from 9-23h, not for 24 hours! Hourly fee is around 4,30 Euro. So if you are arriving by 15 o'clock to check in and are planning to leave by noon the next day, the total parking fee is above 40 Euros - for just 21 hours of parking)

Pros: The hotel is very well located in the city center. To my surprise the hotel room was quite big. Very often you experience tiny hotel rooms in Dutch cities. Two single beds that were put together like a king size bed, a desk big enough to work at with laptop and papers and a spacious closet to hang you shirts and suits in. I did not eat breakfast there, so I can't say anything about it. In the immediate neighborhood are lots of restaurants and pubs, very convenient when you arrive late after an exhausting day. Staff at check-in and check-out was very friendly.

Cons: The hotel was very close to the central train station which was handy. The rooms are small but covers everything you would need. but the only problem was the wifi. On the website it says free wifi is available but the connection is not stable and keeps disconnecting. There are also personal hotspots available for each room for which you would need to pay (5 euros/day). Other than that in general it was ok.

Cons: TV didn't work the whole time I was there. Apparently the TVs in the hotel have been undergoing some sort of upgrade meaning they aren't working properly at the moment. A staff member even came to my room to try and fix it but had no luck. A little disappointing as I had been assured in communications with the staff prior to my stay that cable TV was available. The room was also a little chilly at night. Tried changing the heating but it seemed to be centrally controlled. I did not ask reception about it though, so perhaps there was a way to override the central control.

Pros: The location to the Tivoli and the train station.
Cons: Bad, uncomfortable experience. For starters, to get to your room you have to get through a maze that involves going through an underground connecting hallway and two elevators. The room has no AC and it doesn't even have a frigobar. There is a monitor in the room (weirdly located at an unusual angle that you cannot change, not located in front of your bed like in most normal hotels) and it only has access to YouTube, not to actual TV programs. The shower has no curtain or door so the entire bathroom floods when you take a shower. They didn't replace the soap containers when they ran out of soap so I had to ask the reception to give me refills. At one point, I asked for a bucket of ice at the reception and they looked at me like I had three heads (I'm not kidding) and suggested I should go get ice from the Kentucky Fried Chicken store next door! At check out they wanted me to pay again for my stay, when it had already been prepaid prior to my check in. Really? All this and you call yourself a 4-star hotel? I'd say you barely get 2 stars and they do not shine.

Cons: The hotel isn't modern and is in desperate need of major renovation. In my room there was notice in the saying they are going to renovate soon. The lift is very slow and beaten. I ended mostly using the stairs out of fear. The hallways have green walls and carpets that makes think of snot. The didn't have a ceiling light, only lamps so it was quite dark. The room has wood floors that had a pile of dust and bits where the cleaner had missed. There was number of smiling potraits painted on the walls. Maybe they think they look trendy, but they are school level quality and tacky. No need. There was a 5 foot painting of woman's head on my wall above and to the side of my bed. She was a bit scary to look up at. Location means hearing young people on the way home from drinking, but I have heard worse. The breakfast was a typical netherlabds of cold meat, cheese, toast and croissants. I passed and elsewhere.

Pros: The room was perfectly clean and big enough, had fridge, Iron/ironboard, hairdryer in the room, close to free parking. Not far from city and its ok to bring your dog (10 euro).
Cons: We came tree hours early (1pm) and ask for early check in but they wanted 30 Euro extra for that. The hotel is on top of a café, it doesnt look so inviting and no sign of a hotel. The breakfast is not included and you can get it in the afternoon the day before.

Pros: Super location close to the centre - 5 minutes by bus, busses every 3-5 minutes from a bus stop 2 minutes away! Clean. A very quiet location with a nice restaurant next door if you don't fancy going into the town centre. Well priced for what it is and Utrecht is a great destination.

Cons: It is an ageing hotel that would benefit from a makeover here and there. Too many stairs if you have a problem climbing.

Pros: location is ok
Cons: I was looking for a simple bed to sleep while attending an event, no luxuries. And still the experience was absolutely terrible. The room was packed with 9 double bunk beds, so close to each other that I had to be careful to no hit someone with my fit to their face. The only working shower for the whole hostel was inside our room, and the key was posted in the door for everyone to use. The toilets were very Dirty. I was informed on the morning of arrival that checking was only 14:00-15:00 and sheets are not included (2.5 to rent them). I had to stay the second day at a friends place as I didn’t want to come back

Cons: Staff were always shouting at each other in Italian. Beds were never made and if the sheets were taken they were not replaced. Rubbish lying around on the floors. Broken shower. Very small bathroom.

Cons: The receptionist was not present in his post (had to look for him). There was a cat smell of feces and urine everywhere, the people in there seemed to be very stoned and the service was very slow.

Cons: This hostel is run down and dirty but could improve with just easy fixes. I stayed here before but in a different room now. The booking was for a 6 bed shared room but there were 8 beds (one bunk bed was smashed in between two others). The room was littered with trash. Bed parts were broken or sticking out. The shower/bathroom is in the room and shared by the 8 people if the room is full. The toilet is not mounted to the ground. The "shower" is a hose with a shower head that you can only hold with your hand, because the hook on the wall is broken. The shower is so close to the sink and toilet that there's no way to shower without making everything soaking wet. The ceiling is stained with mold. There is a shower upstairs that works. The living room and kitchen area is littered with all sorts of stuff. There are two cats that are, however cute, smelling up the whole place. There are piles of laundry everywhere. My clothes smelled of this hostel even a day later.
