Pros: We were cycle touring in the Alsace region and Chez Jean was a perfect overnight stop. The reception was very warm, friendly and helpful. They were very keen to ensure that our bikes were secure. As we arrived on a Sunday the restaurant was closed but our breakfast was very good and set us up well for the day's riding.
Cons: We had to leave two nights earlier because of a kid's health problem but we were still charged for all the remaining days.
Pros: Very clean and cozy hotel rooms. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, you feel at home
Pros: It was well situated in the town. Very good evening meal in a busy restaurant. Very comfortable bed and very helpful staff.
Pros: This is a lovely hotel in a lovely and historic town; it delivers all the traditional French Logis approach to accommodation and regional dining without being in any way out of date. Staff were pleasant and efficient and impressively multi lingual. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent wine list and cuisine.
Cons: The shower enclosure while chic and clean had no grab rail. A bit too exciting for us oldies!
Pros: Friendly staff Spacious and well presented room and facilities Great restaurant with local cuisine Very reasonable rates for hotel and restaurant

Pros: Pretty hotel but out on its own, nowhere to walk to. Limited food on Sunday. Make sure you put St-Jean-Saverne in satnav as just Saverne takes you miles away!
Pros: We have stayed here before and love it. The hotel is ideally located halfway on our trip to Austria but it is more than that. The hotel has a lovely character, enough guests to make it convivial, nice food and with an aim to please. The village is also very attractive - lovely to walk around. We shall certainly be returning.

Pros: Very nice and comfortable hotel, with food and breakfast of good to excellent quality.
Cons: Restaurant (dinner) was a bit expensive.
Pros: A beautiful house. The owners have amazing style and taste. The owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was fabulous, a small menu everything was tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back! Great pool too. Nearby woodlands
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere and location easy walk into town
Cons: No lift in hotel and our room in the top floor
Pros: Very tranquil. Pool wasn't heated but in the sun it's ok. Beds were very comfortable. Room very spacious. Distance to centre about 15 - 20 min walk but worth it for being away from crowds. Restaurant is very good note its closed on Sunday.
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Didn’t like the walk up the stairs to the top rooms
Pros: This is a unique hotel, with great character. The restaurant and food is great. This is our third stay at the hotel. The nearby town is excellent, and the hotel is within easy walking distance.
Pros: This is truly an old villa converted into a hotel. The owners have done an excellent job in trying to maintain the original setup by displaying all sorts of memorabilia in the hotel, referring to the history of the villa. Each room also seem unique in it’s setup and decoration. Very nice outside area.
Cons: Not all the rooms have airconditioning and despite booking AC, one of the rooms did not have it. As it wasn’t too hot we didn’t have issues but still we did not get what we booked. Breakfast was limited in choice. Really surprised to be staying in a hotel in France and not be offered croissants at breakfast.
Pros: Very relaxing environment, I had a really nice nap on the sunbed by the pool. Nice traditional building.
Cons: I couldn't work the egg cooker for breakfast and didn't receive any help with it from the waitress. Bed also a little on the narrow side for a double.
A stay at Les Cottages de France Saverne places you in the heart of Saverne, a 1-minute drive from Musee Rohan and 5 minutes from Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: the hotel was very good value - no frills but clean- and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was roadworks outside but that didn't interfere with our enjoyment of this beautiful city. Only one mirror in the bathroom, which steamed up - could have done with another mirror in the room!
Pros: I was on a bike tour through the area and the hotel room was good and located in the center. They also had a good storage area for my bike.
Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was very good for the old town. Good price, however this was reflected by the tired state if the rooms. Breakfast room / bar was much better kept.
Cons: Room decor was clean but tired with damage to walls etc. But the hotel was good value for our needs.
Pros: Friendly welcome. The hotel is being renovated, so some rooms are more modern (as in the pictures) but others are older and more dated (we had an older room). Everything was clean. Good location close to the town centre.
Cons: Room needed renovation.
Pros: The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean and pretty big.
Cons: The shower was a bit small and there was no curtain.
Pros: Location; Room size; free parking very close; clean and tidy; good shower; friendly staff
Cons: No kettle in the room. Only way to have fresh air was to sleep with the door open to a shared balcony.
Cons: Very small, smelling room, view to an other building, two meters away, all quite worn down... Never again...
Pros: Good location, spacious room, clean.
Cons: NOBODY speaks anything but French, which I find unacceptable in the tourism industry. There was nobody at the reception so it took a bit of time and effort to get in.
