Excellent 8,0
Pros: A fresh, modern and friendly place. Such a nice change from all the standard, traditional hotels everywhere! The rooms are colorful, sparkling clean and very comfortable. I loved the wooden floor and electric water kettle.
Cons: State Street has quite a bit of traffic and noise. It was quiet during the night tough.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The property is not close to downtown but that gave us opportunity to explore other parts of Santa Barbara. It is very affordable compared to other places. It’s quieter where we were at and that made our weekend trip relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars and coffee shops and as always we like to support local businesses wherever we travel. Thank you Agave Inn!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very very clean, very nicely decorated, comfortable bed, very very nice staff with good Covid protections, quiet location, easy to get to, parking right by the room. A good walk to and from the shopping and restaurant areas.
Cons: Instant coffee just isn’t good. A nice little electric coffee maker would be great. A counter or table in the bathroom to put toiletries on would be a great addition.
Good 6,0
Pros: Woman at desk was wonderful. Friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable. Street at times noisy.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything already mentioned.
Cons: Instant coffee.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfortable, clean, good amenities, big bathroom, shower
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The place has everything needed-clean, comfortable, fridge, coffee, micro. Many stores, restaurants close by. Staff are very kind and accommodated our special request. Would definitely stay there again!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Quiet with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Super clean.
Cons: Breakfast was a little lackluster
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The room was nice, check-in and out were very efficient. The staff was very nice.
Cons: There's a little bit or road noise but not too bad considering it's on a busy street
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lovely, unexpectedly large rooms in a beautifully designed, renovated motel space--Wendy, the owner/manager, is super friendly and accommodating. Totally recommended and would definitely stay here again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Easy, Cute , Perf Location !!! UCSB near by !!
Cons: Zero
Excellent 8,2
Pros: the decor was kind of cute. I just needed a safe place to sleep after bday celebration in DT Santa Barbara and this place did the job. I liked the bathroom sink....and there was lots of shelving to set my hairdryer and makeup and straightener.
Cons: Not as pictured. No kitchenette. Tiny room.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Grounds
Cons: Uphill walking too difficult for the elderly
Okay 5,0
Pros: Location, views were ok
Cons: Facilities super old. Room didn’t seem clean. Breakfast was mediocre and they charged 40$ per lerson
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The property is beautiful. The pools, access to the beach and rooms are all wonderful and convenient. The staff was amazing. We didn't find one staff person who wasn't courteous and helpful.
Cons: Our room was next to a busy sidewalk where golf carts were going by at all hours of the day and night. Sometimes the staff would be super loud in the evening or early morning as they delivered towels, etc for house keeping to do their jobs.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The architecture and landscaping
Okay 4,0
Pros: THE SETTING
Cons: THE ROOMS ARE OUTDATED
Okay 4,0
Pros: Resort was nice.
Cons: My rooms sink didn’t drain. Front desk tried to move me to another room but that room was worse. Extremely noisy neighbors. Went back to original room and couldn’t use the sink. While the resort looks nice, the rooms are a bit dated.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The room service was amazing and the rooms were very clean and quiet!
Cons: The pillows weren’t great! It made it hard to sleep
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly staff, spa was amazing, felt safe with masks and social distancing
Excellent 9,7

Excellent 9,7
Pros: Staff was amazing.
Cons: Pricing was pretty high
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Beach adjacent location, beautiful grounds, nice restaurants, bar, lobby and gym.
Cons: Pools disheveled, understaffed and poor seating management. Day to day food options at restaurant(s) a bad value and created dissatisfaction immediately.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Rainy weekend. Cozy room. Weather forced us to stay onsite and take full advantage of the beautiful grounds and great amenities. Loved it.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The staff was very nice.
Cons: A few things: Customer service follow through Attention to food specifications Continually asking for items We have stayed here many times prior to the change over to the Ritz. This is the first time I’ve ever felt to leave a bad review. Not really worth my money spent. Bummed.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Everything about the hotel and location.
Cons: Having to change rooms twice, the first time because the toilet didn't flush and the second time because we were awakened by the staff moving umbrellas to the pool on noisy dollies right outside our room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Edgar at the poolside cabanas was incredible. He made us feel so welcome and made our day we spent with our niece we were visiting who goes to UCSB. Thank you!
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Such a great luxurious get away that's only few hours away from SanFrancisco. Staff was so friendly and super helpful. Anything you could ask for, they would provide.
Good 7,1
Pros: Absolutely gorgeous facilities with attractive rooms and landscaping.
Cons: Front desk staff was not friendly and the food was exorbitantly overpriced, even for a luxury resort.
Good 6,2
Pros: Service was solid. Decor and facilities need to be refreshed. Setting is amazing but about 20 minutes north of SB
Cons: Lacked warmth and the little touches- felt like a group business destination. Sterile and needs a refresh.
Good 6,8
Pros: Resort was beautiful
Cons: Service was poor and not enough eating pptions
Good 7,1
Pros: Location is great, and the ground are fantastic to explore.
Cons: We traveled not during peak season and received what we thought was a great rate, however our discounted rate translated into a down grade in room and service was compromised.
Good 6,2
Pros: Great location and amazing views, very relaxing place.
Cons: Too overpriced for what you're getting, not worth it, in my opinion.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Not that's good
Cons: To much noise
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lovely grounds.
Cons: A map of the interior of the facility would be helpful.
Okay 4,0
Pros: No comment
Cons: Everything
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My husband and I are disabled and I requested several accommodations that would make our stay easier. A room was chosen for us on the ground floor, close to the lobby, with close disabled parking. We needed assistance with our luggage, too, and the front desk was so accommodating—we had door to door service with our bags. Our room was so clean and comfortable, and the beds are so comfy! Thank you for everything👍🏼
Cons: The only negative was some traffic noise.
Excellent 8,0
Cons: Weak WiFi
Okay 5,1
Pros: The staff provided good customer service.
Cons: Throughout the facility, it was evident that the facility is in desperate need of a major remodel. There was a constant musky smell in the facility. Fixtures were outdated.
Good 7,7
Pros: The room was decent and clean for the most part. There was a crunched up sock in the curtain, which was weird but we didn't mind it. Overall, the property was quiet, and we had a good night's sleep. Honestly, we spent very minimal time at the hotel itself.
Excellent 8,2
Cons: Price
Okay 5,1
Cons: Purchased this room on Hotwire to find it was $30 cheaper if I had called the hotel directly. Handicapped accommodations so that there was very little shelf space in the bathroom. Towel racks were grab bars next to the toilet. No place to sit except desk or bed. Used q-tips on floor. Second time that we stayed there but very disappointed this visit. Brunch was so crowded that you couldn't sit down and the staff couldn't keep things stocked.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Hotel was good...clean, comfortable, convenient, but it was the staff that inspired me to give the excellent rating. They were the best I've ever encountered at a hotel. Gave good suggestions for dining and just very friendly and helpful with any request.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Love the location - near Vons, In-N-Out ,and close to the freeway. The pool and spa are great and the grounds are very relaxing. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy.
Cons: This was the second time i stayed here. I really dislike the A/C in the rooms. they do not work right. It shuts off when it wants and goes on periodically. This NEEDS to be updated soon. I would definitely choose a room downstairs and facing the pond and pool.
Okay 4,3
Pros: the beds were comfortable
Cons: Their key system broke down and we were unable to get into our room for over an hour. Concerning and a inconvenience to end the night after a wedding.
Good 7,0
Pros: Continental breakfast! Pool and Jacuzzi =)
Cons: They did not have rooms ready. Waited 2 hours for our room to be ready! Frustrating!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very nice little restaurant for a very good breakfast - many options on the menu. Food was good! The grounds are lovely; beautiful plantings & trees - very well maintained. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Excellent 8,0
Cons: There where ants in the bathroom
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Adorable room and spotlessly clean
Good 7,0
Pros: The bed for two people is too small
Cons: For the cost too small the bed
Good 6,0
Pros: The room decor, comfort and the surroundings were nice.
Cons: We were in room 242 which was right next to the front desk, on the first floor. During the evening (10:00 - 10:30 PM) we could hear the noise from someone walking around in the room above. I couldn't figure out why there was so much movement in a small room. The same thing happened in the early morning (6:00 AM - 6:45 AM) It reminded me of a cheap apartment in New York where you could hear the person on the floor above bustling about, getting ready for bed and for work in the morning. Wasn't happy. Front desk said the usual.. "sorry about that". Words are words. Lowering my bill makes me feel a little better. For $300+ per night, I should sleep like a baby.
Good 6,0
Cons: Room have no insolution at all, can't sleep till 2am due to next door's noise.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean, new, comfortable and quiet. Liked it all.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Every thing was as represented, made my stay very easy.

Good 6,0
Pros: Facility expectation met
Cons: Explanation of no breakfast service or coffee. The reason given was a prepared statement that this was due to the Covid lockdown. The SB area website indicated that it the SB area was open which it was but for these facilities services that it normally provided. Other lodging facilities including the comp breakfast had opened in the area. This was a plan to cut costs and nothing more.
Good 6,0
Pros: Convenient parking. Quick response to requests. Quiet location.
Cons: Short staff. Room cleaned by request only. Some equipment not functioning. Not worth the time to request repairs.
Good 6,0
Pros: The room was big
Cons: Small pool, no restaurant, no expending machine, no service, you got a go outside for everything. Personal so so! Too expensive for the service and facilities offered. Noise Gardeners at all times .
Okay 5,0
Pros: Close to UCSB.
Cons: Limited housekeeping due to COVID. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days. We had to get breakfast somewhere else. Towels were not delivered. Had get them ourselves. Expected a little bit better the price.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Check-in/out went well. Grounds and approach to hotel are excellent and inviting (but leads to major disappointment when we entered the room).
Cons: No food on premises was frustrating. And, no attempt whatsoever to get guests something to get their day going (coffee; bananas/oranges; boxed cereal or anything of the sort). Rooms are sadly in need of updating. Clean enough, but felt like nothing (at all) has been done in decades to keep them updated (colors, carpets, furniture, bathrooms & fixtures, electronic device accommodations, etc. No EV charging facility (behind the times)
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very well kept place, nice pool area, nice people
Cons: The sofa bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in and they forgot to give us sheets and towels for all 4 of us
Okay 4,8
Cons: Coffee machines in the room Warm up the pool If you give wine bottle, make sure there is an opener
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The breakfast in the morning was great. The grounds are well kept and beautiful
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Extremely comfy beds!! Ordered the same pillows for our home and will buy the mattress as well... Kind staff, very clean, great location, beautiful, cozy, spacious, and the breakfast was delicious!!!! 10 out of 10!!!
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 9,7
Pros: The setting is beautiful, the suites are great for family units. Staff friendly and breakfast is amazing!

Poor 1,0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Rooms are not good at all
Okay 4,0
Pros: The outdoor space, restaurant and bar. Charming and inviting.
Cons: The room was dark and dingy. Dirty bathroom. We stayed 5 days, couldn’t wait to leave!
Okay 4,0
Pros: Loved the gardens and tiki bar
Cons: The room!!! Everything was old and worn out. Pillows were either flat or lumpy. Locked out of room twice due to bad room keys. Electrical issues with lights.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Peaceful, nice landscapes and nice pool
Cons: Hot tub jets were not working the best, restaurant pricey, and no fridge or microwave
Okay 4,2
Pros: The room was a decent size. The pool was nice.
Cons: The bed linens were old. The bed was old and as a result, not very firm. The cleaning carts make a ton of noise/rumbling when moving around so we were awaken at 7am by the sounds of carts and people scrambling above. The facilities are run down - the restroom door was rotted at the bottom, the toilet was small and squeelee on flush. Based on my experience, the hotel is 2 star not 3.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: You walk out of your room to a lush landscape, just a few steps away you can sit outside & enjoy great food & cocktails. I was only staying one night to catch an early flight- we didn’t have to leave the property!
Cons: Bathroom is really outdated, especially toilets. Peeling paint in bathroom, low light.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: The inner courtyard area with all the palm trees made a very nice view out the balcony window. Bed was firm and comfortable.
Cons: Can't walk to downtown but we knew that going in.
Excellent 9,4
Pros: The room was very nice, lush green patio setting was a major plus. The only downside is the location if you don't have a car. It's not really walking distance to anything central. Otherwise, great value for the money.
Cons: Location
Okay 4,2
Cons: Inn and facility is old. Room does not have refrigerator. Beds are very old; I sunk into the mattress as I lay down. I probably wouldn't recommend this inn if you're looking for a comfortable place during a getaway weekend.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Loved that our room had a patio that gave instant access to a beautiful pool in a beautiful setting. Very easy check in. We did not have an opportunity to use on site restaurant, but the menu looked very appealing and it had many people seated for dining. Especially for the value we would stay here again.
Cons: The rooms, and particularly the bathroom and shower is very dated and needs update.
Good 7,7
Pros: This was a very decent last second find for a weary solo traveler. Safe, quiet (midweek), and a convenient location.
Cons: Building was much older than I was expecting.
Excellent 8,5
Cons: Hotel is old
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Second visit. Fun place to stay. Nice facilities. First choice for Santa Barbara.
Good 7,4
Pros: Great pool area
Cons: No inc breakfast or fridge
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Patio with table and chairs and the open back to court yard and pool.
Cons: No micro or fridge for the price that was payed. But this will be the place I stay when in Santa Barbara.
Good 7,4
Pros: Good price for the location and for a short stay. TV, patio and bed were good.
Cons: Not the most updated of hotels. It was clean, but because of the older fixtures and tiles/carpet it made it seem just super old.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Great breakfast in the adjoining restaurant!
Cons: My private balcony had a bright light on all night which I could not turn off. Some other balconies may have had this but most did not.
Excellent 8,0
Cons: Need more ending machines
Good 7,7
Pros: Parking was close to the room. Pool was big. Loved the patio area leading to the pool.
Cons: Bathrooms need a bit of an update. There was a big spider crawling up the wall beside one of the beds when we arrived.
Okay 5,7
Pros: Young waiter in restaurant
Cons: Desk clerk at check-out
Mediocre 3,4
Pros: Lush greenery.
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable! Very noisy, difficult to sleep! Room lights were too dim in the sink area. No tissue in the room.
Good 6,8
Pros: Location is convenient to central Santa Barbara and pool area is very nice.
Cons: Little to no soundproofing between rooms, particularly at floors. Request an upper floor room if you don't want to hear everything happening above you.
Good 7,1
Pros: Nice place nice pool area nice restaurant average rooms positive experience I would say 3 1/2 stars
Good 7,1
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: No towels poolside
Okay 5,0
Pros: ???
Cons: Our room was not cleaned yet at the 3pm check-in, The staff was slow to resolve with no personality. The room felt like I went into a time warp to the 70's, shower just plain sucked! The coffee maker was in the closet and I had to move to the bathroom to plug it in... Wont go back!!!
Good 7,0
Pros: liked room on 3rd floor in back very quiet and peaceful. Staff responsive and helpful to requests and concerns
Cons: room 101 near housekeeping and lobby very loud, neighbors very ,neighbors stomping around above us, slamming doors a bit much.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Clean, everything is there, good breakfast. A great place to stop on the way!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast was grab and go due to covid. The room was very large and comfortable. Everything was clean. I felt safe there.
Cons: The toilet flusher stopped working the morning of my check-out and I would have preferred to flush my morning dump...
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Felt safe & assured our car was ok parked outside. Check-in was fast & friendly! There was only 2 of us, we were upgraded to a 3 bed room! Felt extra special!
Cons: There was construction going on up the street which at times made it very crowded to drive around.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very clean and the bed and pillows Very comfortable 🙂
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was good Staff was very nice and accommodating
Cons: Poor WiFi Could only park one car on property
Okay 5,0
Pros: The room was pretty clean and the location was quiet. The staff was nice.
Cons: The beds were not very comfortable. The mattress sounded like it had a plastic cover on it which was very loud when you moved around. Also, you could feel every little move the other person made if sharing a bed. The whole facility felt very old/dated. I was expecting something nicer for the steep price we paid.
Good 6,0
Pros: no wifi here
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Older but nice room. Comfy bed. Huge shower. Easy access to yummy restaurants. Other travelers there very nice and international. Loved the continental breakfast that was included with our stay. The cheese omelets so yummy on the croissants, made it more than the usual continental and really hit the spot. Checking in and out quick, easy and very efficient, friendly.
Cons: Carpets a little worn out. Smoke alarm battery decided to chirp in the middle of the night. Needed replacing. TV wasn’t working when we 1st got there but was fixed in no time.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Not much
Cons: Floors had stains all over. Furniture was shabby. And the smell was horrible.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This was the second time we have stayed at the Sandpiper. It is clean, convent to venues in the area and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again if we were in the area.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and nice staff. The breakfast was good, not just rolls and coffee. It was the same all 3 mornings and it would be nice to have had different choices.
Cons: I called to check on my reservation and they said they could not find one. When I arrived, they still were not able to find it, even with my confirmation number. They did get a room for us and it was an upgrade since they did not have the room I reserved. It did cost a little more.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Bed was fine. Breakfast was fine. Breakfast consisted of heated cheese omelettes folded into the shape of tacos. They also offered slices of bread, bagels, croissants and English muffins. They had conventional pull down toasters and conveyor belt toasters. They also had small refrigerated yoplait yogurt containers as well along with fresh apples and bananas. The room had Cox cable TV. Had a pretty standard selection of channels not a whole lot but it included local news, each meal and some of the standard basic cable channels like ESPN. service was good too
Cons: The Wi-Fi was slow at times because the wildfires that were happening, which knocked out some of the communication lines at times. Is a newer generation of people start using hotels, cable TV should start being a lemonade it since it is a waste of money it makes you watch ads. It would be better for all hotels including sandpiper lodge to invest in faster Wi-Fi and ethernet instead.
Good 6,0
Pros: Room was cozy and coffee kuerig machine. Decent breakfast.
Cons: Walls are thin and our neighboring guests were very loud till middle of the night.
Mediocre 3,0
There were full of trash in the bin when I checked in. Staff never said 'sorry about it' and they were not kind. it was worst hotel I have ever stayed.
Excellent 9,4
Pros: BED
Cons: THE BREAKFAST
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location. Front desk staff was very helpful!
Cons: WiFi signal was spotty in our room.
Good 7,4
Pros: Everything was fine. No complaints -- but nothing was special about this place. We arrived late and left early so we were just looking for a place to sleep. The rooms were convenient, clean and comfortable. this was one of the few places in its price range that had a pool, free breakfast and Queen (as opposed to double) beds.
Cons: $200 a night for what was basically a Motel 6 seemed pricey to me -- even for Santa Barbara. The breakfast was a little skimpy: I would have like bacon or sausage to accompany the scrambled eggs and typically a Danish or sweet roll is included. The conveyor machine wasn't working so the entire breakfast room had to wait to use the toaster.
Okay 5,1
Pros: The breakfast in the morning was great.
Cons: This is not a 3 star hotel. I would say it's 2. It was really loud. Bedding was not soft. Old facilities.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Clean, practical, comfortable.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Very nice staff and nice room
Cons: Shower leaves a little to improve.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Large shower. Table with two chairs plus ergonomic desk chair and comfortable arm chair.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: The room was clean, remodeled and comfortable. It was a good motel for the price.
Good 6,0
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre and shower was mediocre - kept being much too warm and much too cold. Found a few bugs in the shower room.
Good 7,4
Pros: The location was close to transit routes and restaurants
Cons: The tv was in the living room with no tv in the bedroom, the couch and chair were worn and that's where the tv was
Okay 5,1
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: 4PM check in time? That is silly. Every place I've ever stayed has a 1PM check in. I got into town early and had to walk around on sit and wait because of this policy. I'll never stay at the sandpiper again
Good 7,4
Pros: Nice layout pool workout room and bfast service.
Cons: Too noisy very early in morning with many vehicles starting and running outside room. Annoying.
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: The room was small , water was not heated in freezing weather, people were slamming doors as they were leaving , more like a cheap motel with hotel pricing
Good 7,1
Pros: The staff was very helpful when we asked to move our room due to the noise above us. It is an older property but weel.maintained, and cared for. Breakfast was great!
Cons: The noise. The first night I slept about 3 hours. Yiu can hear everything in the rooms on all sides, and the noise from the walkway and parking lot outside the rooms is not insulated at all. Bring earplugs and a sleeping pill.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: location was great, cute hotel but outdated. No plugs to connect your phone. I have a sleep machine and no extra outlets available.
Cons: cute outdoor pool well kept properties. Needs to be updated.
Good 7,0
Pros: Pool is good, the staff are friendly
Cons: One of the lamp is not working in the first room. Then the front desk people changed a room for us, everything is good in the second room
Okay 4,0
Cons: The air conditioning in the room was so loud we had to turn it off in order to sleep. I’m not too sensitive to noise so for me to say this, it’s a big deal. The photos are misleading. I get it, prof photos tend to look better but this one is way off. This place is not updated, I felt like I was renting a room at someone’s apartment. When I asked the next day if maybe other rooms were more recently updated, I was told they’re all the same. Also, when I arrived, they did not have my booking (through Booking.com). I was lucky to have gotten a room otherwise, we would have been room less despite making a reservation in advance. On top of that, I had booked a room overlooking pool. I got a room that overlooked parking lot with a corner glimpse of the pool (not quite the same). In short, I was very disappointed with quality. I picked Best Western Plus as my past experience/quality level at BWP Truckee was such a positive experience, I figured hotel would be equivalent since same hotel line. Very clear after this experience these are run independently and not at consistent standard.
Okay 5,0
Cons: Not as clean as it used to be. Light bulbs out, tv not working upon arrival
Okay 5,0
Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Very outdated room for the price. I thought a Best Western Plus meant a better room.
Good 6,0
Pros: Location was good
Cons: The room was small and the walls, doors and windows didn't have any insulation, you could hear a lot of noise at night outside. The key to the room didn't work either, we had to go to the office and switch them out a couple times.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Rooms had Bottled water and fruit and bathroom toiletries were nice
Mediocre 3,7
Pros: Only positive was the location and the proximity to Starbucks in the morning.
Cons: Outdated furnishings that reminded me of the 1970s. Awkward layout of hotel so you can here everyone coming and going. Nothing upscale or even nice about the hotel and the $280 nightly rate is a joke. Hotel is in par with a motel 6.
Good 6,0
Pros: The maids were so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Did their utmost to make our stay comfortable.
Cons: Even though we told the front desk when we arrived that we belonged to their Rewards program and were staying for three nights, they put us at the far end of the building where the workers had rooms. They woke up early, made lots of noise loading their trucks and same was true when they returned in the evening. The grounds looked overgrown and dirty. Bed was old and uncomfortable. Next time we will stay at Best Western on Calle Real in Goleta. Much nicer.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Friendly and helpful front desk guys
Cons: Old big chair in the room
Good 6,5
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Needs to be modernized.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Clean facility
Cons: Noisy employees ,room up against storage room.tight parking
Excellent 8,2
Pros: I liked that it wasn't far from activities, but far enough to relax. I was surprised with how quite it was, with how close to State Street we were. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean, the building its self is older, however, they seem to have kept up on it very well.
Cons: When checking in, I was told the Internet info was provided on the room card and it was not, but that was a quick fix by just calling the office. They didn't have pool towels ready, but a staff brought them to us when they were dry. Everything I read said the pools were heated, but only one out of two pools were heated. The parking was alittle tight, I have a big truck, but it worked out. Nothing was bad enough to to not come back again. We will definitely stay here again. (:
Excellent 9,7
Pros: It was quiet
Okay 5,7
Pros: For a one night stay it was good
Cons: Facilities are very old, any time someone closed a door the whole building shook. My son was worried when he could hear the neighbors showering.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Quaint and private.
Cons: Not close to downtown
Excellent 9,4
Pros: adorable hotel friendly staff
Cons: housekeeping was ok found previous tenants things

Good 6,0
Pros: Bathroom was renovated
Cons: Walls are very thin.
Good 6,0
Pros: Cleanliness, updated
Cons: The bed was unacceptable. Like sleeping on a torture chamber. Hard, uncomfortable and so sad! Since everything else was quite nice. Understand the hike in price (due to a concert weekend) but not worth that much of a hike.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: It was reasonably quiet and clean.
Cons: This property is "TIRED!" It needs a full renovation. The room didn't look anything like the one in the photos. The Motel 6 down the street was probably a a lot nicer and wouldn't cost $168 a night.
Good 6,0
Pros: Clean, decently priced
Cons: Parking spots are difficult to find…
Excellent 10,0
Cons: The bath soap they give is horrible.
Good 6,0
Pros: beds comfortable
Cons: better AC unit. staff offered fan to help circulate AC
Good 6,2
Cons: Internet speed was too slow to go online and load any pages. I also could not watch YouTube or upload my photos from my phone to my computer. Internet speed should be much faster to keep up with other hotels and even hostels.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: I enjoyed the front desk guy and enjoyed the room quality, location and everything really.
Cons: It wasn't perfectly cleaned, the parking is very limited, and it was a bit expensive.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This property is an older motel on a busy street that has been completely remodeled and updated. They have done so with great attention to detail and have stylishly created a space that feels like a quaint Latin American Village. The rooms feel modern with good beds and shower heads and accessories. Best of all, it is a really good value. Even though we needed to be on the opposite side of Santa Barbara, we have stayed here and enjoyed it on two occasions. You could argue that their continental breakfast is lacking because of a lack of a dining area but they have maximized a small outdoor patio for a pleasant 3 table setting if your plans allow. In this city of inflated hotel prices, we will return to Oasis Inn and Suites.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Although my room was small, it had been updated. The bathroom was recently updated with nicer fixtures. The grounds, although small, were well-tended and a respite from the typical motel fare. This is just across the street from Gelson's market and less than a mile from the La Cumbre Mall, so it's close to shopping and not far from Downtown Santa Barbara. There is a very nice residential area behind the motel so I had no concerns walking at night. The staff was very friendly too.
Cons: My room was fairly close to State Street, so I did start to hear traffic around 7am. If you're a light sleeper or like to sleep in you might want to get a room near the back of the motel.
Mediocre 2,8
Pros: none
Cons: all
Excellent 8,2
Pros: - very nice garden area that is unusual for hotels of that price category - clean - breakfast and free wifi included

Excellent 9,0
Cons: I would have to say the room was so nice to be in you don't want to go out but I did.It was lovely. Thanks again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: How quiet and safe it was. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The bed was very firm and our backs were sore the next morning. Other than nothing else to complain about.
Okay 5,0
Pros: It wasn’t super expensive as many other place are quite expensive in the area.
Cons: It was EXTREMELY noisy at night! Other people staying there were loud and up all night. In and out slamming doors, talking very loud. I have no clue what kinds of shenanigans were going on but it was very disruptive!
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: The rooms are really small. The hotels need to be updated. Very expensive for what we got.
Good 6,0
Pros: Friendly attentive staff, easy check in/out, room was well supplied and had great kitchen amenities (large fridge, w/freezer, coffee maker, microwave). Plus it is next door to Trader Joe's, which is awesome.
Cons: No maid service (Covid, maybe? ok); we did not like the smell of mildew coming from the air conditioner, the stench from the sink, and the noise from different neighbors slamming doors and drawers waking us between 5-7am every morning. Not at all restful. And the breakfast was limited to pastries, oatmeal, yogurt and bananas. Having paid $300/night for this 2 star hotel (now advertised at $120/night), it doesn't seem like we got what we paid for.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel was clean and basic. Pool was awesome, heated and I believe it was a salt pool, so no chlorine smell after getting out.
Cons: Price. Don't get me wrong, the facilities were clean, nice, and so were the staff, but cost was way too high in my opinion for what we got in return. This 2 night stay cost me double what I paid for a 4 night stay at a luxury hotel/spa/casinio in Las Vegas. And this was a very small hotel, with no restaurant/shops/etc. Now we booked last minute, it was Santa Barbara after all tucked into a residential area, so that may have been factors in the price, but I still think that for a Non-holiday weekend it could have been considerably more reasonable. We would absolutely consider staying there again, but it would be absolutely contingent on the cost.
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: way too expensive
Good 7,1
Cons: Needs some updating. Shower doors, etc.
Okay 4,0
Pros: For some reason I felt this was an indoor hotel, not a motel. Past that shock, the location is very convenient. The room is small with a tiny bathroom. The bed was not comfortable and the cable tv has bad reception. Want coffe? Think again, as i checked the coffee maker there was an used coffee pouch in- do they ever get cleaned?! I say this is ok for a one night stay, not a good deal for the price.
Okay 5,1
Pros: It's a decent bed to sleep in at a reasonable price for the city it's in. Room clean.
Cons: Bad neighborhood, limited parking, 70's era facilities.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Clean rooms, attentive staff at front desk
Cons: Wifi didn't work in the room behind the pool, too much noise from neighboring guests

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very well maintained property. It was clean and had all the amenities. The manager was super helpful and guided us on what to see in the city. Would recommend it
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Front desk personnel were extremely accommodating and friendly however, no amount of friendliness would make up for the lack of comfort and cleanliness. The location was where we needed to stay but I don't recommend this location.
Cons: The images used to advertise this property are not consistent with reality. The rooms are much smaller, the bathroom had black mold around the entire window, the beds were old and uncomfortable. One of the beds, the sheets had cigarette burns.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Price Bed was comfy.
Cons: Bathroom outlet in disrepair, dangerous to use, risk of electrocution. Bathroom window needs repair or replacement, difficult to open and close. Panel against tub not secured. Floor could use a mopping. Photos on line did not reflect actual room.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Close to downtown and UCSB
Cons: Dirty floors, dust underneath bed and dirty washcloth on shower curtain rod
Okay 5,0
Pros: Location good for our vist.
Cons: Room needs spring cleaning 😩
Excellent 8,2
Pros: No breakfast corona viral
Excellent 8,5
Pros: wonderfully friendly staff. cool murals.
Cons: Not the hottest in terms of decorating style.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Free breakfast
Good 6,8
Pros: It was clear they are actively working on improving the property. The staff was nice and compared to othe hotels in the area the pricing was good.
Cons: When we did our pre check in we were told we were being given a free room upgrade. However when we got there they said the were unable to honor that upgrade. I would suggest not offering things you can not provide.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: The bed was the BEST I've slept on!! SO soft!
Cons: There was a plastic bag (?) outside next to the trash bin. No big deal but hard to miss.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Hot tub and massive 42" tv
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Staff was very nice. It was quiet and suited our purpose, which was to have a place to go sleep because we were out most the days we were in Santa Barbara.
Cons: The room had an odor of mustard when we would enter the room. it would eventually subside after we started the air condition and/or opened the windows. We did not use the kitchen facilities so have no idea why the smell persisted.
Good 6,0
Pros: spacious
Cons: kitchen ware not readily available small hallway & elevator
Okay 5,0
Pros: Location n free parking
Cons: Breakfast was sad . Kitchen sink n toilet slow plumbing. Shower hard to turn on. It leaked all nite
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Staff are friendly and accommodating
Cons: The outside looks really good but the room needs upgrade. The kitchenette and the bathroom looks old
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Everything was good in our stay at the property...all staff was very helpful when asked for something...rooms are spacious and well cleaned.
Cons: This does not take any star from my review of the hotel but the night before we left I asked if I could use the reception printer to print PCR test for travelling and was told by the person that was there he did not have the password for the PC. Managers, allow your employees to have such a thing as they can help your customers with a ton of things that may be needed at night.
Excellent 10,0

Good 6,2
Pros: It's cheap and functional
Cons: It's old and shoddy. Lack any real comfort.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Well the fact you have in-n-out across the street is a bonus. Overall the stay was great, grab and go breakfast was tasty.
Cons: The only issue was the shower. After a few minutes the shower made an usual sound and the the hot water seemed as if it was running out.
Okay 5,1
Cons: My reservation was for a non smoking room. They only had a smoking room for the price I had paid and wanted more money for a non smoking room.
Mediocre 2,6
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Noisy, Smokey smelling , the sink was revolting

Excellent 8,0
Pros: I didn't get breakfast. Just a small cup of coffee. Pretty good. I like the motel 6 better in Goleta because the bed and pillow is more comfortable and it is a better location. But, this one is ok. I probably will be back at both locations. Thank for being there. Blessings always!
Cons: The bed wasn't that comfortable there and the pillows were too high.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The comfort of the room and the AC unit
Cons: Outside of the room, it was a bit dirty.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: The shower was big & clean, oh yea, while waiting for our ride pickup, view from 2nd story balcony was nice.
Cons: Rail on stairs leading up to 2nd floor was sticky & dirty. Needed to wash hands more often because of this AND COVID. Room way smaller than expected. Felt like I was living in a college dorm room, small area, beds too big for such a small room, One bed totally up against air conditioner on wall, toilet was very low to the ground, if I was a tall person, (I’m 5’4), it would be very uncomfortable. Did not like TV channels, My stay here was my 1st AND last!
Okay 4,0
Cons: Most expensive 2 star hotel ever
Excellent 9,0
Pros: One of the Best Motel 6 we have stayed at. Clean comfortable and great location. Loved it!

Good 7,0
Pros: i liked the location and the rooms felt private i couldn’t hear anything in or out
Cons: the cleanliness can be worked on
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Every interaction was nice, very friendly. They are understanding and accommodating. Rooms are really nice and spacious! Great Location!
Okay 5,0
Pros: The location is good, fairly close to Downtown SB. It is a quiet place.
Cons: The facilities are in need to significant upgrades. The door has damage to it, the fixtures and furniture are old and in only fair condition. Place was not really that clean.
Good 6,0
Pros: The staff we’re lovely & accomodating
Okay 4,5
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Very outdated. Badly needs upgrading.
Mediocre 2,8
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Bed was so bad we had to leave.
Okay 4,2
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: It just needs a complete upgrade/remodel, all together. The bathroom had a smell of sewer.
Okay 4,5
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Room smelled bad. Carpet was very worn and tattered. Few and inconvenient electrical outlets.
Okay 5,1
Pros: easy to book and took us late as we were driving from northern california south.
Cons: it was terribly expensive for the facility they offer. old, smelled like smoke, small bathroom, and the sheet had a stain. would have rather stayed in my car. wish we had.
Mediocre 3,4
Pros: The bedding was clean
Cons: The shower was disgusting! Old, not updated at all. And not very well cared for.
Mediocre 3,4
Pros: There was nothing I really liked relative to any other hotel/motel
Cons: There was trash under the bed, stains on the cover. Room had an irritable smell and I just was not a fan of the overall experience. I picked it because it was the cheapest room available last minute but had I would've known what the experience would have been like I would have rather spend twice the price for something more acceptable.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Excellent location.
Cons: It wasn't very clean.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: The location was good for our needs.
Cons: This property is run down and needs some serious repair and upgrading. Additionally, the majority of the rooms are used as low cost apartments and housing for the local homeless. While I support the use of the hotel for this purpose it is something that should be disclosed to people booking stays.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Location
Cons: Outdated and stunk of smoke, could not sleep due to the noisy group above us, and pretty pricey for whatit is
Okay 5,0
Pros: There were extra security due to reach out program
Cons: Didn’t realize it was outreach for homeless shelter
Good 6,0
Pros: Good location to walk to nearby restaurants.
Cons: Springy mattresses that set you bouncing every time you rolled over, recent repairs and painting didn’t seem well done, permanent homeless meal distribution in parking lot- great they are helping out, but took up room. Extra 24-hr security outside. Because it was needed, I assume?
Okay 5,0
Pros: The location
Cons: Very noisy when the water was turn on also 1 shampoo provided and we were 2
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: No smoke detector, dirty room furniture, stains on towels, gunk on drapery and walls and ceiling, smoke smell, rusted fixture in bathroom, warm water knob stuck in bathroom, weird activity in parking lot, loud water pipes, dirty fans, damaged walls
Good 7,4
Pros: The cost was the motive for going with Rose Garden Inn. I liked the huge comfortable bed and lots of storage. There is a fridge, stove and microwave in the room. We’re definitely going to remember that if we come back here again.
Cons: The power on the right side lamp kept going out. The water pressure for the hot water was very low to the point that the plumbing would shudder if you turned it on too fast. I heard that shuddering metallic noise several times in the morning as the other guests started their day. They light bulbs were also not matched. Some were daylight white while others were soft white. The two on either side of the bed were different colors so it was really obvious.
Good 6,8
Pros: Close to downtown sb (2-3 miles) for really good price
Cons: Not clean, i saw bugs and there was a spider falling on my bed out of the blue.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Cute room, large room---the king room is awesome! Large bathroom! Very spacious and nice. You'd pay the same at Motel 6---you might as well get something better for your money.
Good 6,0
Pros: As an alumni I was looking for a place to stay that was between IV and Downtown. This place proved to be exactly in the center. It has an iron and ironing board. The shower was clean and had hot water. Had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Has Cable and HBO If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay just to eat and shower this is it. I wouldn't look for anything more than that.
Cons: I would consider this place a 2.5 star motel. The room was small - the King size bed took up most of the space. The sheets were clean but stained. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. I'm normally a deep sleeper but I woke up every few hours. The sink water smelled like sulfur. The TV was very small. The parking lot can fill up very quickly and its sometimes difficult to get of your parking spot.
