Pros: Stuff are really helpful and KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
Cons: a bit pricey, but all places were expensive in this area :/
Pros: Location is handy to bus and rail while still close to town. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Toilet in room 529 is in an awkward position.
Pros: Excellent location in the centre of town. Quiet and comfortable rooms. One minute walk to the airport bus route. Extensive breakfast food selection.
Pros: Convenient to bus travel. Close to all restaurants and shopping.
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: No on site parking or baggage loading.
Pros: This place is perfect for exploring Stavanger and the area, the location is very good, the staff is really friendly and the room was super clean with a nice decor. What I need to add is that the breakfast was absolutely fantastic :)
Pros: On City Center - Walking distance to many of Stavanger attractions
Pros: Loved the breakfast and the friendliness of the reception staff. Thank you :)
Pros: We loved the location, the smile and helpfullness of the staff and the interiors. The rooms are beautiful, the lobby very welcoming. Most of all WE LOVED THE BREAKFAST BUFFET...! We where amazed by the quality, variety and everithing was so delicious! Thank You soooo much.
Hotel located in the city centre, close to all major attractions and shopping area. Conference facilities for 100 people. Pool Club with swimming pool, Whirlpool, sauna and Spa treatments available. Free broadband
Pros: Staff very friendly and attentive
Cons: Elevator broken, WiFi broken, limited English channels on TV, room small.
Pros: The staff were wonderful, Jorgen and Michelle gave us great customer service. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet and very clean. Lovely to have a kettle in our room. Pool and spa spotless, plenty of clean towels. The restaurant food was outstanding and we had a great waitress called Alicja who knew all about the food and gave us terrific service. Sammy in the breakfast room was great too when we needed packed lunches. The hotel was also well located for the tourist ferry , old town and railway station.overall a great stay.
Pros: Last minute room, worked out great. Same branch we have stayed in. Great breakfast.
Cons: No free parking
Pros: I loved the breakfas!!
Pros: Breakfast was very good, especially the warm smoked salmon!!! Your waitress there, Putri really creates a special atmosphere. She tries to take care of everyone and is very personable. The pool area is awesome and clean. I have been going to Stavanger 3 times a year at least but never stayed at this hotel. I will probably never use another hotel after this stay because of the pool and hot tub. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and some up-market "Spa-tells" but none of them compares to your warm pool and its immaculate area.
Cons: As I said to reception -breakfast could be organized a lot better. It is a train wreck at the warm food station. To have two kinds of eggs, bacon, potatoes, warm cereal, waffles, beans all stacked around each other creates an un-necessary conjunction (stoppage). Invest in some warm elements to spread these dishes out. Also, serving spoons MUST be larger than the serving trays, as they slip into the food and can spread contamination. This is not an ideal healthy solution. I have picked up food poisening this way before (Color Line). Not fun. Afterwards, Color Line changed their practice. My wife is a chef in the North Sea, and small serving utensils that could slip into the food would never be allowed out there. I write this because after 3 days in your hotel, my stomach began to react - possibly from bacteria picked up at breakfast...... something to consider.
Cons: Lady in the reception initially offered us a room at the 1st floor which was a ground floor room in line with the road, although there were available rooms in the upper floors. So it is not possible to open the window, a terrible room. Then we asked another lady in the reception for a help to change our room. And we changed it. 1st floor rooms are really bad.
Pros: The Restaurant Manager @ Breakfast was extremely helpful - & interested in all her customers. Nothing too much trouble for her. A revolutionary DESIGN of Hotel - very interesting
Cons: Coffee could have been hotter. Made too early in the morning...
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Royal Blu! It was conveniently located near some small restaurants and the main square area. The breakfast buffet was small but still worth the money -- loved that it started so early and ended at a reasonable time! We really enjoyed the pool and fitness center. The beds were very comfortable although somewhat small.
Cons: - Housekeeping did not seem to do an extremely thorough cleaning job but it was still very timely and done well. - When we initially booked the hotel, we requested a queen-sized bed and it was not until after confirming our reservation when we were told that we would be getting two twin-sized beds instead of a queen. My partner is a little over 6 feet tall, so he did not have a very comfortable sleeping experience during our stay.
Cons: Staff did not advise us that you need to pay in advance in the underground car park directly below the hotel. I have not seen that in any other underground carpark in any other country, ticket was €60. Staff argued that carpark was not operated by hotel, however I think you should tell people about this at checkin if they ask for parking options.
Pros: a modern hotel with all facilities. Good sized rooms, good beds and pillows. Nice working desk. Breakfast included and top rate. Hotel car park expensive but no other options. Staff very helpful
Cons: Free car park
Pros: It was what we expected from a corporate hotel. It is well sited for us to see all aspects of the city. It was well priced compared to a lot of the other accommodation in Stavanger. The underground car park was very convenient with a lift direct to near our room..
Cons: We had believed that we would be able to charge our electric car at this hotel and this was part of the reason why we had booked there. Unfortunately, the charger was only for TESLA cars. The car park is no longer managed by the hotel but there was a notice displayed on the desk about what to expect from it. This notice was inaccurate on the subject of electric chargers. The reception staff were not sympathetic about this and we had not optimism that they would sort out the mistakes on the notice.
With a stay at Clarion Hotel Stavanger, you'll be centrally located in Stavanger, just a 4-minute walk from Stavanger Cathedral and 6 minutes by foot from Stavanger Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out.
Pros: The breakfast. The bread, jam, cod liver oil. The room had a lovely view too and the colours in it were really restful.
Cons: All good.
Pros: Good location, nice bar with good music
Cons: Rooms sucked. Elephants on room above. Couldn't regulate temp well. Only served American coffee. Had to pay extra for two people which means you're just obviously paying for the "free" breakfast.
Pros: Very good breakfast Spacious rooms Location Good views Nivel staff Restaurant
Pros: Really close to the harbor... the view was nice on the 13th floor... the breakfast is really nice with lot of choice
Pros: Friendly staff. Good location. Easy to get to from the airport. Clean and comfortable room.
Cons: The bar and food are expensive.
Pros: Everything was great about this hotel. The room (and the view), the breakfast, the reception, the details. You can buy a luch pack in the breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price - very useful for your hiking (you should! go hiking) Convenient parking around the corner (although a bit pricey) Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing we did not like
Pros: very nice breakfast and top view on the fjord ( its worth paying for that ) , room with nespresso maker is very nice in the morning !
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, comfort.
Cons: Size of room.
Pros: Good location and clean facilities.
Cons: suite pictures are misleading. they show seaview but it is likely only two of 10 suitsnhave this. I assume through booking.com you only get the worse ones and should be booked direkt
Pros: Super friendly staff. Best breakfast around.
Cons: Good value but don't expect decor to be substantially better than ikea.
Pros: Breakfast was great. I like the restaurant facilities and atmosphere. View from the room window was also great.
Cons: In restaurant there was longer waiting time to get meny and also to get recipe.
With a stay at Clarion Collection Hotel Skagen Brygge, you'll be centrally located in Stavanger, within a 5-minute walk of Stavanger Cathedral and Norwegian Petroleum Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: The location is splendid. Close to everything, busstation, trainstation, ferryboats, old center, cinema. Breakfast is with large variety like 3 sorts of bread, 3 sorts of yoghurt, cheese, ham, salami, eggs, sausages, meatballs, salmon etc. Whole day free coffee, tea, icedwater. And coffee is good. Make your own pancakes in the afternoon, and at dinnertime you can eat pasta or nooddles, potatoes, drumsticks and pork with several vegetables. Beds are good. We had standard room, but did have a desk, 2chairs and a little couch. Real good. From the terrace you watch the cruiseships come in. As airplane was departing at 18.00 hrs we had a late checkmout at 14.00 hrs, without any charge on Monday.
Cons: If i had to mention some little points, than it is that the sugar box and (hot) milk can was often empty in the dining room where the coffee/tea was.
Pros: Location on the main harbour front! Very helpful staff
Cons: Huge cruise liners arriving at 6 in the morning.with tannoyed anouncments waking you up. Bizarre bar hours Rooms are overdue for an update
Pros: Great location, parking garage close, food included.
Cons: Hot and no air conditioning.
Pros: Complimentary breakfast and dinner is a real bonus and has an excellent variety. Lots of gluten free options for me which was great!
Cons: darker curtains to help sleep while there is so much sunlight during summer
Pros: Great location. Good breakfast offered, and good value for money
Cons: We had an extra bed put in our room to accommodate 3 which was a little tight. Quite noisy if you’re facing the harbour.
Pros: Stuff, food, cosy atmosphere, nice people, pet friendly
Cons: I liked everything
Pros: Very scenic and close to town and many places to eat. Very well located to have fun and fully enjoy your trip and all the sites. The breakfast and dinner included made my stay very relaxing. Wonderful hotel! I would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Very nice and professional staff, good breakfast, good location, nice room with views to the harbour.
Pros: It was okey.
Cons: We just wanted to say, thanks for the nice accomodation.
When you stay at Sola Strand Hotel in Sola, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Kvadrat Shopping Center and Museum of Archaeology. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator. This hotel has 15 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast assortment is generous and with nice weather guests can sit outside in front of the sand dunes and the ocean. Breakfast room is old and fascinating, however the air circulation is "old style" as well, thus some smells of coffee, cheese, eggs are quite strong.
Cons: I was assigned a single room which did not match my expectations: very small and old-style-basic. However discussing about this with one of the reception managers I understood that some renovation will soon take place and his smile brightned my stay. Honestly the price paid was a bit too expensive compared to the offer, while the service was very nice. Need to point out that -as alesewhere in Norway- bellboy assistance is not provided thus I had to carry my luggage by myself on steeeeeeeeeep stairs.
Pros: Food, view
Cons: Prices at reception and bar, 49,- nok for a small coke is crazy
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet, sauna and the therapy pool were very fun, beach is right outside the hotel, playroom for children with games, loan of bicycles
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating (we were able to check into out room, despite arriving at 8:30 am!). The hotel is so practical - only 5 minutes from the airport, yet located on a beautiful beach. You can rent bikes for free to explore the surrounding area.
Cons: I rate the breakfast only 4/5 stars since there could have been a bit more choice (and quality) among the selection of warm food
Pros: The largest window I have ever seen, you could see the sunrise.
Pros: Good food Nice beach Kind people
Cons: Location:nothing there:no store, no restaurant(except the hotel)...going anywhere is very expensive, since the hotel doesnt have their own shuttle. From airport to the hotel is 3minutes drive and costs 20€. Crazy. Taxi to Stavanger(10minutes drive) is 50€one way
Pros: Excellent place of hotel, just on the beach, kids went swimming just as we arrived Hotel is big, and fits very well Into the place Although it is just near the airport, we have not heard ant noise Swimming pool is much better comparing how it looked in photos, was not crowdy, kids enjoyed it Dinner was tasty and rich breakfast with variety of food to choose from
Cons: Rooms were quite small with dark furniture, and view from room was to parking
Pros: The location and the room were excellent
Cons: Staff didn’t fully dining preferences in the evening.
Pros: Good view and facilities for relaxation Good location for relaxing stay before catching the flight Package breakfast provided for missing the buffet breakfast due to early flight
Pros: It was very convenient for the airport. The staff were welcoming and responded very quickly to my message when our flight was delayed.
Cosy hotel in the middle of Stavanger city centre, within walking distance from shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Large rooms with a high standard.
Pros: Good breakfast. Great position and good staff
Cons: All was OK but the 2nd day they took the towels away and never replaced them. We had only a small towel to dry us for the 2nd night
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: No parking. Website said it was available. It was offsite but close by.
Pros: Great location. Convenient parking.
Cons: Experienced more than five fault alarms in the mid night.
Pros: Awesome breakfast and kind people working here and always smiling :)
Pros: Very convenient for arriving by train and departing by shuttle for the Fjord Line to Bergen.
Cons: Only the price, but the location was worth it.
Pros: I have been here many times. Large, clean rooms in a hotel that is within walking distance of shops and restaurants
Cons: Breakfast is good but there are some small things that need to improve, for instance: I prefer white bread and don’t belong to the category of health junkies. I also hate to be forced to “work on fresh fruit” before I can mix it with yoghurt and eat; I simply don’t have that time in the morning. So, prepare your pineapple and melon and strawberries in a proper way instead of cutting it in pieces and leaving it to your guests to see if they can manage to makes things edible!!!
Pros: Spacious room and excellent and hearty breakfast
Pros: Asked to arrive early - was told of extra charges - It normally can be done subject to availability. Room was really nice. Breakfast really nice.
Cons: See above
Pros: Great location, wonderful breakfast
Cons: Some of the staff steered us incorrectly about bike share (which would have helped my partly disabled partner), and didn’t take time to point us in the right direction to the train station.
In the heart of Stavanger you will find the Best Western Havly Hotell, near the railway station, shopping and fjord-sightseeing. The hotel has charming rooms, breakfast room and library. Start your morning with our complimentary full breakfast. Business travelers will find their needs met from fax and photocopy services to audio/visual equipment, and large desktops and free WLAN in each guestroom. Our rooms feature cable television, hair dryers and coffee makers.
Pros: Very nice hotel in a very good location. The room was cozy, and due to the fact that the weather was unusually warm there was an electrical fan that really helped. The staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good! We really enjoyed our stay here.
Pros: perfect location for discover the city, the museums and reach the fjord boats and ferry
Cons: high prices in Norway
Pros: very nice for everything. happy for stay.
Pros: The hotel has an excellent location, right next to the major attractions of Stavanger. The staff was very helpful in answering questions, and the breakfast was okay. Rooms were very good.
Cons: The facility did not have a room for three and getting to it with heavy luggage from the bus station was a bit challenging.
Pros: Very nice location and the stuff was so friendly! Excellent food, price-quality is good. Will back for sure!!
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location was good for walking to most places.
Cons: Because of the heat wave (not your fault), the room was hot and stuffy. When we opened the windows at night, the street outside was noisy.
Pros: Location was good and staff were very helpful and extremely nice!
Cons: The room was too small for the money and our room was right by the street that we hear all the noise from street even passersbyer's talking.
Pros: Great location. Refrigerator in tge room. Very friendly helpful staff.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to restaurants, bus station, and ferry.
Cons: The room was a bit stuffy as they do not have air conditioner. However, the staff gave me a portable fan which helped. The maid failed to replenish the bathroom soap. Breakfast started at 7am. I wish they would start breakfast earlier as most guests would need to take the bus to go hike Kjerag at 7:30am.
Victoria Hotel is centrally located in Stavanger, a 5-minute walk from Norwegian Petroleum Museum and 5 minutes by foot from Stavanger Cathedral. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 6 meeting rooms available for events.
Pros: great location, right at the harbor
Pros: The new breakfast room is really nice and offers a rich variety of food, excellent.
Pros: Location is tremendous. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices.
Pros: I appreciate the location, comfort, price, staff and breakfast.
Cons: Need to improve service in difficult problems for clients
Pros: The breakfast was included and absolutely incredible. Seriously amazing.
Cons: Parking is extremely difficult and/or expensive. The hotel staff directed me to a nearby lot where I could park, but it was full. Eventually (20 minutes later) took a spot after someone left, which (on Sunday) was free until 8am, but it cost 75kr from 8am to 10:30am. Also, at first we were sent to a room that had not been cleaned. When we got a new room, it was not as nice as the previous one. If anything, after a mistake like that, we assumed we would get an upgrade, not a downgrade.
Pros: Excellent location, very clean , great value
Pros: Really good bed. Ok variety at breakfast. Very nice location.
Cons: No mini bar, no aircon, old furniture. «Old» scent/smell.
Pros: Great location. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and the idea of hangover checkout at 4 pm on Sundays is just amazing. Well done for the management!
Pros: The hotel is located on the quayside very close to the town centre and many other bars and restaurants. The breakfast was full, varied and truly exceptional. The staff (front of house, cleaning staff and waiters/waitresses) were all polite and helpful.
Cons: The kettle in the room had a cord that did not reach any of the electrical sockets. The kettle therefore had to be put on the floor to boil.
Pros: Location is great in the center.
Cons: A bit of an outdated hotel...
Pros: The bed was OK and the hotel has a great location
Cons: Cold and worn out room, poor breakfast (cold "hot dishes") and not too many smiles in the reataurant
Pros: There was nothing special to like about this hotel.
Cons: Room is poorly decorated, cheap, old and dirty furniture. Small and uncomfortable bed. Stayed in 3rd floor, almost no water in shower. Many things were broken in the room/bathroom, lack of general maintenance. Breakfast buffet was very low range and food tasted bad. Restaurant personnel was unprofessional and receptionist very busy with phone conversations all the time. Extremely expensive hotel and higher rate than announced on booking.com, poor value for money.
Pros: The location was ideal.
Cons: The hotel, while it had an old-fashion feel, it could use a refurbishing. Also, the hotel parking should not be called 'parking'. It is on a side street near the hotel underneath an old building. It has a very tiny entrance and, being generous, has maybe maximum 8 parking spots. Because there was no space (and we were told to go outselves to see if there was space), we had to pay for parking on the street which became very expensive.
With a stay at Comfort Hotel Square, you'll be centrally located in Stavanger, just a 5-minute walk from Stavanger Cathedral and 8 minutes by foot from Stavanger Museum. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out.
Pros: Staff was kind.
Cons: Amazing dirty room condition. There were stains on the futon cover. We had two rooms, one room has electric kettle, but there is no electric kettle in the other room. Also shampoo wasn’t filled (it was first day) I know that hotel cares about environment so much and you can get cleaning service every 4days. I respect that but, it shouldn’t be reason that put empty (or didnt fill) shampoo bucket in the NEW room. It was my third visit to Stavanger, and worst staying ever. Worse than three stars hotel and hostel. I would like to say to hotel “don’t forget, this is four stars hotel” absolutely I won’t recommend to stay in this hotel.
Pros: Modern bathroom with all facilities. Window you could open. Public Parking is in the same Building. Clean towels, glasses and toilet paper next to elevator if needed.
Pros: A cool hotel, the room was nice and the staff was kind. We had to leave really early and they gave us a breakfast pack. But there's a big BUT
Cons: Our room was on the first floor and the noises from the street were loud. Because of this it was very difficult to sleep.
Pros: Staff was helpful on everything Breakfast area was very nice Hotel has a great, friendly vibe to it
Pros: Breakfast was great. Microwave and ice machine in the lounge!
Pros: Apple juice
Cons: There was no room available to me. The reception staff was rude
Pros: Staff are very nice
Cons: View from my room
Pros: Very good location. Near to the port and the bus station. Comfortable and clean room. Good breakfeast, lot of choice.
Cons: From the room we missed the own safe and the a small fridge/minibar.
With a stay at St Svithun Hotel in Stavanger, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Museum of Archaeology and Stavanger Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Its difficult to Locate the entrance at night.. as the hotel is beside the hospital.. less signboards near by..
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: I understand it was a hospital hotel but did not expect it to be in the hospital. On arrival I asked if I could possibly have some milk for my child and was told well you can buy some, not what I needed to think about at 1am. In the morning we went for breakfast and asked staff to warm some milk up for my child in the microwave I was told no but I can warm it in the coffee machine. As a paying guest I expected that breakfast be for hotel guests only not for everyone staying in the hospital. Half way through breakfast a lady came round saying there was going to be an alarm going off but not to worry it was for the hospital and we could carry on with our breakfast. Again not what you expect when you are at a hotel and a paying customer. The information that the hotel is on the fly bus route is correct but it should say that it is not on all the routes as I found out at 1am when I asked if the fly bus went to the hotel and she said no that stopped at 7.
Cons: It was close to helikopter band! Under night comes a few helikopter in hospital which made noise!
Pros: cleanliness, good breakfast, lake mosvatnet nearby
Cons: feeling of hospital
Cons: Breakfast could be better
Pros: Cleanliness and price
Cons: Breakfast could have a bit better choice
Pros: Very nice hotel and good breakfast.
Pros: The room is quite big, breakfast was good.
Cons: Since it is a part of the hospital, it is a bit rushy and confusing around. Can't find any major flaws though.
Pros: Staff professional, pleasant and helpful. Clenliness.
Cons: Hospital location and air ambulance activities just outside hotel.
Pros: Walking distance to city center and attractions
A stay at Stavanger Bed & Breakfast places you in the heart of Stavanger, within a 10-minute walk of Stavanger Museum and Stavanger Cathedral. Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff nice. Coffee for free . Convenient location.
Cons: Shower water went all over floor and no bath mat supplied . Wifi terrible. Only one very small pillow. No where to put toiletries in shower. No lift .
Pros: Excelent place to stay in Stavanger near everithing walking distance the ferry, the public bus, gas stations and food. Friendly staff by the way thanks for the pankakes :)
Pros: Very clean rooms
Focus on cleanliness and being green
Delicious free waffles every evening
A short 5 minute walk from town
Pros: Wonderful staff and breakfast, reasonably priced. Comfy bed.
Cons: There is no soundproofing in the building. You'll hear if a person is moving in room above or next door. Next to toilet is worse.
Pros: -Really nice and hospitable staff :) -Delicious coffee -location
Pros: Lovely Waffles and coffee being served free of charge in evening !
Cons: Property was all uphill from station and airport bus.
Pros: Lovely staff, great location and they made us Norwegian Waffles on an evening! Rooms were very clean and much bigger then we expected. Would definitely stay here again
Pros: Helpful staff and clean bed.
Cons: Bedroom lacks hooks. Bathroom also lack hooks.. need a failsafe shower screen as floor gets wet and dirty by reckless/messy users.
Pros: Perfect location, only a ten minute walk from the old town and city centre
Cons: Noisy next door neighbours
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff baking fresh wafels for the guests in the evening!
Cons: The common kitchen and the fridge were not clean and smelling badly!
Pros: Very nice breakfast with a lot of variety and good quality Conveniently located close to the city center
Cons: A bit lacking in cleanliness of bathrooms Our room was located in the basement WiFi not working most of the time
Unique location by Forum conference centre. Stay in one of our spacious rooms and after a long day enjoy the fantastic views from our sky bar on the 20th floor.
Pros: Nice Hotel, nice rooms and close to nice walking/exercise trails.
Cons: A bit far from town but good bus connection so really not a problem.
Pros: The decoration and variety of breakfast The beds were very comfortable, very soft. It was quite, no noise.
Cons: The room was quite small, but it wasn't a problem.
Pros: Location was good for the purpose of our trip and the room was clean.
Cons: When had booked a queen room and got twin beds. Went to the reception right away and said we requested a double bed. We got offered a room upgrade (for an extra cost) and said yes. The new room apparently had a double bed, but it turned out it was twinbeds put together.. when we noticed we had unpacked so we let it go.. really frustrating when you change your room and just ends up paying moore for what we allready had. I had expected more for a room that costed over 200euros per night.. In adition, the room was really, really hot. Only able to open a small opening in the window, so it was not possible too sleep. The breakfast area had no room left when we arrived for breakfast. Had to wait for a table. Really dissapointed and will not stay here again. Plenty of other nice hotels in Stavanger.
Pros: The structure of the building and location is good
Cons: The room is small and not exotic Enough. The bathroom is not well built for comfort. The breakfast has to be improved for other varieties
Pros: Beautiful facilities with great views from the room and the restaurant.
Pros: Staff were very helpful especially at reception. Our original room was very small and we managed to agree an upgrade but at additional cost. The restaurant staff were efficient and flexible despite a somewhat limited menu. Breakfast is superb.
Cons: The standard rooms are very small bordering on pokey. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and although we had a kettle in the upgraded room the overall cleanliness wasn't that great and the daily room cleaning was idiosyncratic. Overall the hotel is a little jaded with the bedrooms in particular needing some renovation. As is always the case in Norway, the prices of all drinks including bottled water is astronomical. We arrived early in the afternoon but there was no lunch available. We were advised to walk 20 minutes to a shopping mall or go across the road to a petrol station!
Pros: The Staff in general were so helpful. The view from the Hotel Room plus the standard of breakfast on the 21 st Level. The bed was so good. Shower super clean.
Cons: Road works at the access to the Hotel, NO EL-Bil ladding stations. Should have disabled car sticker for Handicap guests from overseas.
Pros: Booked 2 rooms for my Father and Aunt both elderly, I cannot thank the staff enough for their friendliness and how they looked after them especially the restaurant staff at the buffet breakfast.
Cons: No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms
Pros: Very convenient stay for conferences at Stavanger Forum Nice breakfast with a view Rooms are fully sufficient for short business stays
Cons: nothing in particular
Pros: Breakfast was first class and staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bed was like a marshmallow! I have a bad back and the bed was awful. After explaining my situation, I asked at reception for a change of room, only to be told that every bed was the same. I ended up being given a board to put under the thin mattress. Very disappointing.

Pros: Personal super helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Dirty bedroom floors. No equipment in kitchen. Very noisy at night time.
Pros: Ample breakfast, juice, coffe, tea
Pros: The relation quality/price is quite high. Room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is quite good. The automatic check out is a very good option.
Cons: Everything was ok for us but to raise a very little objection, they could increase the variety in the breakfast a little bit.
Cons: I didn't like the first night room with a small roof window completely covered with black plastic . I coud't open the window and there was no ventillation in the room . It was claustrofobic ! I didn't like sloppy walls ( roof again ) and hitting my head every time I got up from the bed . The manager told me that it's "what you get as a cheap room . Next 2 nights I payed additional payment and changed the room .
Pros: Breakfast was very good selection. Fruit, cereal, yoghurt, salmon, freshly baked bread. I didnt see cooked breakfast, they might do, but not sure. Self check in / entrance system worked perfectly.
Cons: Noisy, next to a main busy road. Also the ventilation system was noisy inside the room. The hotel need refurbishing very tired looking rooms.
Pros: Nice staff, good location, room has very good equipment - there was even a fan and electric heater. Nice neighbourhood - old white wooden houses typical for Stavanger. Tasty breakfasts even if the selection was not too large. Hot and cold drinking water with teabags and coffe available in the lobby. Comfortable bed.
Cons: No lifts. At first glance room looks scruffy. Floor in the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. But it's not so bad when you look more carefully - I believe this room is closely cleaned as there is no spiderwebs nor dust bunnies even in the nooks.
Pros: Great position! Room simply and perfect: silent, clean, big enough.
Pros: The room was small
Cons: It is possibile to have free tea or Coffee. THERE is also elettrica oven
Pros: The location is in the city center and it includes breakfast.
Cons: Some facilities seems a little old and need to be fixed. But this doesn’t influence the quality of living.
Pros: Good breakfast Nice room with a sink, fridge and TV.
Cons: No reception and communal areas were only open till 1. Some of the walls weren’t in a good state, could do up a refurb.
With a stay at Comfort Hotel Stavanger, you'll be centrally located in Stavanger, within a 5-minute walk of Stavanger Cathedral and Norwegian Petroleum Museum. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: Amazing breakfast, comfortable mattress in the bed
Cons: The couch is not comfortable for sleeping
Pros: Amazin location, Good value for money, Good water pressure in the shower, Clean rooms, Flat TV with USB, Magnificent Breakfast
Cons: Evening was extremely loud from the noise from the streets. People partying and could hear everything over closed windows, A fridge in the room would be nice.
Pros: perfect location near centre, good breakfast
Cons: old equipment
Pros: The location.
Cons: It was not possible to close the window.
Pros: The location is central to everything.
Cons: Would be great if they had a discount deal with one of the car parks nearby but at least the motorcycle was safe.
Pros: Breakfast was gorgeous and location and friendliness of staff great
Cons: I would have preferred to be able to use cash for drinks and WiFi wouldn’t work downstairs
Pros: friendly and helpful staff. free late check out on Sunday
Cons: No daily cleaning of the rooms, breakfast is not that great
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect.
Cons: Rooms were small. I had thought we were getting a suite for 3 adults and they gave us a family suite so the 3 of us had little privacy.
Pros: The staff was amazing!! Gerta was specifically helpful. We needed to make a last minute change and she gave us so many options. The kitchen staff was so nice and let us get coffee and food before breakfast technically started for our early flight. Honestly, if it wasn't for the street noise, the staff and gluten free breakfast choices more than made up for the hotel not being updated in 30 years.
Cons: The outside was SO loud. We were there for 3 nights and had the worst sleep due to people on the street. We realize the hotel has no control over this but it was unfortunate since we needed good sleep for our hiking. The weather was great but it meant we needed to open the windows to cool the room. It was a choice between being hot or being woken up by folks outside, either leading to not sleeping well. Overall the facilities were run down but clean.
Pros: Except location there is nothing good to mention. Hotel is centrally located.
Cons: The hotel has limited staff especially housekeeping. On first day immediately after check in, bedsheets and quilt covers got soiled as my infant baby accidentally defecated. Reception staff was not helpful in that situation. She informed there are no housekeeping staff at that time (8 PM), so I had to take out everything and put outside room and moreover just got one bed sheet as substitute! It is interesting to note that room cleaning is done every 4th day and if needed we’ve to inform in advance. Even on 2nd day after the staff took away soiled sheets, no substitute items were given when we came back late evening. Bathroom door was not working properly and was a nightmare using the same. Just managed 2 nights and checked out. Would never stay here again and recommend this to anyone..
With a stay at Skansen Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Stavanger, just a 5-minute walk from Norwegian Petroleum Museum and 6 minutes by foot from Stavanger Cathedral. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Good location and the rooms are very clean
Cons: Internet did not work.It was loud outside on the street.
Pros: The great central location, only 15 min walk from the bus station. Friendly staff at the bar always ready to help. After reading some reviews were concerned about wi-fi but it worked fine. We stayed during weekdays and didn`t have any problems with noise.
Cons: The only disadvantage - no fridge in the room
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: None of the lights worked in my room or bathroom. Asked the receptionist/barman for the lights to be fixed but never happened. Carpets were dirty in the hallway Funky smell in the bathroom.
Pros: The location is quite convenient and there is one supermarket very close to the hotel
Cons: This hotel is together with the bar.And the bar is quite popular so if you stay here there will be music all night....it’s just how it is.But if you are looking for some place you can stay after you get drunk then this will be the best!
Pros: You can pay Nkr 165 and take an excellent breakfast next door at The Victoria Hotel.
Cons: Bedroom could have had the booked double bed not the two singles. Nasty presentation of paper cup/coffee with an already opened this empty tea bag sachet.... Decor is tired and tatty...like a work camp room. Appreciate seems cheap for the area though...
Pros: No breakfast included.
Cons: Hallways had a terrible smell.
Pros: We had an electric heater in the room, a nice view!
Cons: The facility was a but old, but nice
Pros: Great value for money, excellent central location, friendly and helpful guy who checked us in
Cons: Loud music played on the ground floor until 3am made it difficult to sleep
Cons: 1) The three rooms we rented for ou trip were not even on the same floor 2) One of the room is located directly to the outside bar-terrasse. There were noise until 2am and it felt like the party was in our room. Nobody slept that night. 3) there is absolutely no staff available, we had trouble finding a taxi company for the next day, no one could give us info
Pros: Is a basic hotel for a more-or-less basic price. The bed was good and the shower produced a good flow. However I stayed here on a Fridaynight. Then it was very noisy, due to the outdoor pub-area, belonging to the Hotel. You need earplugs!
Cons: The very high music volume in the outdoor section of the pub.
