Pros: Great
Cons: View and location
Excellent 10,0
Pros: You have to climb about 3 stories of steps, no elevator
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location in Frenchtown is close to some great restaurants, a walkable area of St Thomas. The hotel is right on the water and the pool is quite lovely too. Oceana’s next door has excellent food and a wide variety of choices. It was a great way to end an evening. Good food, water front and only a very short walk back to our room. The owners were warm and friendly. Water is available at desk 24/7 and coffee in the morning. Could not have asked for anything better.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great place to stay, I came to St. Thomas for work and this location was perfect. Room was comfortable and meet my needs. I would stay here again!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Eddie was great!! Very helpful and went out of his way to let us check in late and helped us find a taxi the next morning.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great location and wonderful owners.
Cons: No down side. We had rooms by the water and a great outside area to sit.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This property is beautiful with sea views and flowers growing everywhere. You can sit in the pool with beauty all around you. Walking distance to the town and nearby restaurants. It’s a gem of a find

Cons: Almost all of the facilities are closed. This is not advertised. Only a beach bar open due to the hurrican last year. This is not mentioned when you book. booking .com should change this as this is not clear. Very crowed over built complex with hundreds of rooms looking onto a small beach. Not recommended for the money.

Pros: Not Applicable
Cons: There were bugs due to rain We has to check out because we were attacked by bugs 2 nights in a row.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Staff are super helpful. Location and view are beautiful. The food at restaurant is delicious and Northside Grinders Coffee Shop is my favorite place in St Thomas for Lattes and a quick snack. It is still undergoing hurricane renovations so if that does not bother you, I give this place a thumbs up and will keep coming back here. My third time here.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The room was very very clean! Spacious! Slept like an angel! Property was nice!
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The property was clean and although recovering from the storm the rooms that they had available were very nice, clean and well furnished
Cons: The property wasn’t close to any attractions rather secluded getting a taxi seemed difficult at times
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff was extremely responsive. Room was very clean and comfortable. On-site restaurant was excellent.
Okay 5,4
Pros: quiet, shabby/chic, access to one swimming pool area, one bar with kitchen for lunch or dinner. Access by car to Megan's beach.
Cons: Noise of construction all around the property every day, including Saturday and Sunday. Flamboyan did not provide transport to beach at any time (bartender offered to call a cab, which I could do for myself,) or subsidize Admission Fee to the Beach for non-residents (i.e. maybe a weekly discount ticket for guests). Taking a taxi to the beach each of my 7 days added expenses that should be included in rate.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: This hotel was hit directly by two hurricanes. They are still waiting for the first insurance dollar. The owners, management and staff keep this place running on a shoestring, with only one-third of their rooms repaired. The rooms, restaurant and pool are in top-notch shape and ready for guests!! Based on all the people of St. Thomas and the folks at this hotel have been through, our family will always stay at The Flamboyan (overlooking and a walk to Magen’s Bay) when we visit St. Thomas! Everyone else should, too!!

Okay 4,2
Pros: The pool is clean and the view is great. The restaurant was very good with wonderful staff.
Cons: The room was very dated . It was supposed to be a Jr. Suite but the room was extremely narrow with a very uncomfortable pullout sofa bed for our big teenage kids. The sofa bed was not made up before we arrived and the bedding was very old and minimal. The bathroom was TINY and extremely old and rusted. Only a sliver of a bar of soap..
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The property needs a lot of TLC - I wish we had a chance to stay there before COVID and Irma/Maria times it must have been amazing, at this point it's decent but we visited during June 2020 COVID reopening and a lot of things were still WIP - including pool being area being painted and reorganized + restaurant closed - the letter one looked really nice!
Cons: It's a mix of updated items like great modern A/C but then dated/not too clean bathrooms etc. - for what we paid it worked out for 2 nights but I see how people paying top dollar for this property in this state could make them disappointed/angry.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: All the employees where extremely attentive, the room was very comfortable, beautiful views, the pool area was great, the restaurant served delicious food.
Cons: Location, although you get to enjoy beautiful views in order to move around is best to rent a motorcycle or car.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Close to town, good food, amazing views, nice staff
Cons: Parking was a pain, shower was not great, room was small/bed was too big
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Views and staff were great.
Cons: Very busy road. Absolutely no ability to walk around.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The view is incredible
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Really lovely people running this hotel. I sat at the bar one night - obscenely beautiful view, with Downtown Charlotte Amelie and its lights. Staff is friendly and helpful, calling cabs and making menu item suggestions. Definitely eat at least one meal in the fantastic dining room - the scenery unparalleled.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Small, quaint, stunning view is the harbor, sea planes, beaches, city below. The staff was all very friendly, our room was clean and well appointed it's nice not to be in a traditional, boring chain hotel. The daily breakfast was awesome also.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great views, kind staff, happy hour, restaurant availability
Cons: More variety for breakfast
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The views are great. You are away from the touristy Downton, but still central to everything. The staff was extremely friendly. The dinner was excellent and slightly upscale. It was always filled, so even the locals like it. The rooms and hotel are quaint and kitchey. It’s clean and and comfortable. It’s a good buy because you spend most of your days at the beach and it was a nice shower to come back to. Just bring your own toiletries.
Cons: Everything was nice.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Plenty of hot water. Great internet. Lovely pool. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was wonderful.
Cons: Wish there was a small breakfast option starting at 6:30. We leave early for the ferry and miss it every time.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: Mattress was uncomfortable

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Easy walk from airport, front desk staff was terrific, great beach
Cons: bathroom at restaurant needs update and more frequent servicing
Excellent 8,8
Pros: I liked that the hotel was close to the airport and had everything. It's close to downtown and shopping as well
Cons: The hotel restaurant and bar are a bit over priced and mostly American food. I was also checked into a room that was already occupied but it was quickly resolved.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Close to the airport and on a decent beach.
Cons: Dated and not very clean in the rooms.
Good 6,0
Pros: Nice size room and beautiful view. The restaurant was nice,.
Cons: The shower water goes hot and cold during. Needs attention. I asked other guests and theirs also did that. Our friends air conditioner leaked water so they had a bucket under it. Needed more help in restaurant.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful well kept grounds and most of all the view from the balcony.
Cons: Was disappointed that as a guest of the hotel a complimentary breakfast was not provided. For example, coffee, bagels, fruits. Dining was a little pricey.
Good 7,0
Pros: 1. The location. 2. Caribbean Fusion restaurant.
Cons: 1. Check-in took almost an hour. 2. No in room microwave. 3. Shower ran out of hot water. 4. Awakened by shouting housekeeping staff. 4. On-site outdoor coffee bar does not keep to posted hours. 5. Cable tv picks up fewer than 6 channels.
Okay 5,4
Pros: Location is the reason we’ve stayed there this time & the past. Also, having access to the beach is a positive.
Cons: The servers are rude & not competent. Both meals had terrible service. The room was mostly clean.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This place is only a 7 minute walk from the airport! The grounds are amazing and the location is right on the beach. It's very safe here: there are security and the room doors are only accessible with an electronic card. The beach is excellent.
Cons: The shower water would fluctuate between really hot and cool.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great food too!!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Hotel restaurant
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: On the beach
Cons: Room had a leak, not clean, black mold. AC went out. Etc.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Location. The beach, view, and water was probably the best on the island.
Cons: THere was no TV in our room. We checked in early and they said they would call us when our room was ready. Did not get a call. Returned to the resort and the front desk had no record of us checking in. The bar/restaurant tables were not clean.

Cons: The Hotel is a little bit outdated and needs renovations.
Okay 5,7
Pros: The beachfront location was outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Good 6,0
Pros: The staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: Loud noise at night.
Good 7,0
Pros: The stay was comfortable, the location was nice, in a busy and central part of town. We were close to the ship port, shopping, restaurants and a grocery. The room met our needs for the night. It's lowkey and no frills.
Cons: Renovations are much needed. To their credit, the owners are in the process of updating the property. I would recommended this place if you simply need a clean and safe place to stay, and aren't looking for luxury or frills. We stayed here because our flight came in a day before our reservation at our condo. Personally, I need the luxury and frills, so I probably wouldn't stay again, but it was cool for us for the one night. I would be interested to see what it looks like after the updates are done, but sans the updates, I wouldn't recommend a long term stay. I am glad it was just one night and that it was on the front end of our stay.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Location, quiet (at this time - travelling during pandemic)
Cons: Water pressure of the sink was like counting drops
Excellent 8,0
Pros: location excellent staff accomodating great cozy size family atmosphere
Cons: under construction will be better when that is completed bathroom tiles could be power washed I wuld return
Good 7,0
Pros: Great value for a one night stay. Hotel is going through some upgrades. Will be nice when complete.
Cons: Bathroom is dated and AC barely cooled room. About what we expected at this price point.

Pros: Simple. Nice view.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I’ve been to the galleon house many times probably over 10 still a favorite
Cons: Perfect!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Wonderful caring helpful owners. Clean pool. Central location. Great place for the budget traveler.
Cons: Thin walls, mosquitoes.
Good 7,1
Pros: Location was central. Fairly clean. Staff accommodating
Cons: Far too many steps to get to the room with luggage. Breakfast included was prepackaged muffins, and store bought protein bars, only fruit was a banana. Apparently coffee was not normally provided as I was asked to hide my coffee mug when I returned it??
Okay 5,0
Pros: Nice views of Charlotte Amalie.
Cons: There’s a lot of stairs to the reception and to the rooms.
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Trying hard to find something positive to say. We liked that it was close to the waterfront but we found the downtown and waterfront to be poorly lit and pretty sketchy at night.
Cons: To start out, the price we paid ($187 for one night) was exorbitant for the room we were assigned. Perhaps we were being charged High Season rates for Low Season occupancy on May 10th. I understand that the entire island of St. Thomas is recovering from the hurricane 18 months ago but the proprietors of this hotel are making no effort to clean up their property of debris or maintain basic sweeping/painting upkeep. See photo of the area in the walkway right outside our room and below the balcony. We had an air conditioner that was leaking water on our balcony. Mold in the shower. No ice in the refrigerator or down at the front desk. Almost no outside lighting provided despite the fact that there were many steps and turns. And, the final straw was returning to our room after dinner in the dark around 9pm to find a drunk man passed out and bleeding on the pathway to our room - who we had to step over to get to our room! Not what I expected for almost $200 a night!!!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Don’t expect the Ritz or even a mid range fancy hotel! Sort of like a boutique B and B! We were in a bind and the owners were very gracious and friendly! Orlder much older building! Beautiful views! Better than Margarita like where we stayed for a
Cons: Tough climbing stairs for us!
Good 6,7
Pros: Our room...104....had a great view. The pool was VERY nice. GREAT LOCATION!!! We were able to check in early as our room was ready for us. We spent time in the pool as it was a beautiful St. Thomas day. Very close to the shops and restaurants
Cons: Many steps but not a problem for us as we didn’t have luggage and are in good shape. Keep this in mind. Our room needs work on the entrance light fixture as it’s missing the ceiling cover and a light bulb cover. No shampoo or conditioner. The tabletop on the patio is broken. Breakfast is not the hot and hearty breakfast in the descriptions. It is a “hearty” muffin, other muffins to be toasted, SMALL apples that appeared to be from neighboring trees. When we got there for breakfast the host wasn’t there. We each had a cup of coffee before the carafe was empty. No plates, no napkins. The hostess came back (with her hot breakfast) and I had to interrupt her phone call to ask for more coffee to be made. She did do that and she did put out plates...
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast had the necessary items. No coffee though. It was explained that they would have to get licensing to expand with more items in the breakfast. There was water on hand throughout the day. Breakfast included bagels and muffins. Cream cheese. Apples, oranges and bananas. All were refrigerated before setting out in the morning.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The view and uniqueness of the place.
Cons: Decent place. Beautiful view of the harbor which is why the room was so expensive compared to other rooms. Basic room. It does have ac. It is a hike up the hill to the desk. If you can't climb stairs this isn't for you. Overall good stay.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The location was good, with the property upon the hillside, it was nice to be able to look out over the municipality, across the harbor. Very scenic. The WiFi is limited to the patio commons area. But it was adequate for conducting necessary travel business. The air conditioning in my room was fully functional and adequate for my needs, and I was pleased that my room was not subject to mosquito ingress (a problem I’ve experienced first hand in other Caribbean locations.
Cons: I was only at this property for an overnight, before catching an early ferry for the BVIs. However, you should know that as of mid Feb 2020, the kitchen facilities of this property are under construction. The staff did their very best to accommodate guests with an early morning snack (coffee, fruit and pastries), but I suspect the kitchen will be out of commission for a bit, since the region has so many construction projects going on. The key enjoying your stay in any tropical place, is to lower your expectations for speed and punctuality. To the guests that were checking in ahead of me (arguing and haggling with the staff, and acting like the kitchen construction project was going to ruin their entire holiday): If you are the kind of person that expects the whole world to operate with the precision and punctuality of New York City, then you should probably stay in New York City. The whole point of travel, is to experience new things and to grow the skills to adapt to any situation at hand. I sincerely hope that your time in the tropics was an enriching experience for you.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Not much other than location. Good A/c , shower ok.
Cons: Rooms very very old, not a problem, however beds horrible!! So worn, linens completely thread bare. No coffee or tea , only packaged food for breakfast. The worst was the pillow!! Like a brick so worn out. Could not wait to leave. We wanted to love it because it was recommended to us by a local.

Pros: The staff were absolutely fabulous! This is a smaller family run hotel, that could use a little updating [nothing major] that you could care less about because the staff is just that great. They are very accomodating [held our bags for us after we checked out for a few hours]. The only draw back for some travelers might be that there are a lot of stairs, which was not a problem for us and our two younger children. We would definitely stay there again!!
Cons: nothing
Good 7,4
Pros: This hotel is very basic and is OK for an overnight stay. It is clean and the room had TV, air conditioning, a small fridge and en suite bathroom and shower. I would stay here again if it was only for a quick overnight. It is value for money. The staff were phenomenal. I arrived at 11:00 PM as did other travelers. The hotel clerk came outside to the taxi to greet us and carry luggage inside. He also carried luggage to the room......the people were very friendly and helpful making for a pleasant experience. Breakfast to order, although limited, was very good and is included in the room cost.......:)
Cons: Several floors with only steps - can be a challenge if you have heavy luggage and no one to help......
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: So we got an e-mail a week in advance of staying here that the King bed Harbor View suite that we paid for for our dream trip was not going to be available because there were guests failing to vacate for the next week because of travel flight cancelations. You stated you would be giving us a standard room with a full size bed and a small food comp. at your reataurant for the inconvenience. Classy!!
Cons: You didn't offer any other way to resolve this, as in maybe telling the guests in the King Harbor View Suite that unfortunately you have that Suite sold for the weekend and they would be more than welcome to stay in your standard room with a full size bed if they wanted to extend their vacation.......

Pros: It Was A Very Nice Hotel..I Would Recommend It To Anybody
Cons: The Location Is Horibble
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Just around the corner from all the shops and boutiques on Main street.
Cons: Lots of stairs. Not a problem for us, but if you have any physical disabilities this is probably not the best choice.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Fairly clean and quaint. Great Air conditioning.. Didn't get to stay for breakfast as we had to catch the early ferry to BVI. Dinner the night before was good.
Cons: Quite a few steps if you have heavy luggage.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Bunker Hill is located in the town near shopping and restaurants and is good value for the money. It is not a luxury or beach front hotel, but is conveniently located in the town. The rooms are adequate, wifi is available, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. It is very acceptable as an 1 or 2 day stay in the town.
Cons: Rooms were a bit outdated and there are no elevators to the top floors.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: What did your like? The staff was very nice and eager to please. Stair are very common at hotels on St. Thomas. This is the first place I stayed where they took up my luggage. They breakfast was good and serviced by a friendly staff. I liked that it was a family run hotel owned by locals. It is closed to all the shopping in the old downtown district which is a lot of fun.
Cons: What didn't I like? I would not recommend families with small children to stay there. All the stairs would be dangerous for them. They are doing some additions which are not safe for children. If you can not walk stairs this is not for you.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great Location, staff and breakfast!
Cons: Look oudated, the bed needs replacement and the shower was terrible...

Cons: The hotel is on hills and from our room to the pool was a good distance up stairs. This hotel was under construction. Our villa was old and dated, the room smelled like mold.
