Pros:Excellent downtown location! Steps from the Malecon. The park across the street had entertainment on the stage Friday and Saturday nights. We sat at the park for some and went to the hotel rooftop for the rest. Flea market in the park Saturday mornings with great food and other offerings. Wonderful views from the rooftop.
Cons:Noise from the bar next door continued until at least 11:00 at night. We were on the third floor in room 304 and it was loud enough to keep us up. Small room with old furnishings and torn pillows, but that's what I expected from a budget hotel 1/2-block from the bay. Both pools are small and not for swimming. Only one sheet provided with bedding - no blanket. WiFi was inconsistent. We would stay again, though.

Pros:The rooftop area was fantastic! Nice views of the ocean and the mountains. Staff was very friendly and everything was really clean. All for a great price too! We loved it!

Pros:Location was wonderful.
Cons:Mandatory morning wake-up. Loud Zumba class every weekday at 8:00 am in the park directly across the street. Did i say Loud? I think 10:00 would be better as "morning people" who like to dance should maybe go out at night once in a while and sleep in. We had an inside room and learned every song. Ugh.

Pros:the hotel lobby was modern but the rooms were basic...the location was awesome...block to beach...park across the street with farmers market 2 days and one day was a wine tasting and live band and dancing....wonderful...i was very happy with the price we paid and what we got...i excepted an almost nightmare but was very happy with the room and hotel...the ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful...rooftop patio with pool and wonderful views of puerto vallarta...also, on the rooftop was were the "free" breakfast was served...the ladies working the breakfast were very pleasant and started your morning off great......
Cons:there was only one elevator and it was slow...also in the room, the bathroom drains on the floor had an unpleasant oder coming out of them ...we had to buy a bottle of bleach and pour down the drains....during the day when the maid cleaned the room it smelled great...but as evening wore on it would smell again...
