Pros:Bed and room were nice size. Atmosphere of building was great.
Cons:My room was never cleaned the second day of my three night stay. And the biggest issue was that there were a plethora of tiny little ants everywhere in my room. They were crawling all over my coffee area, inside my jewelry bag and books and down the wall. I was a bit grossed out.

Pros:Staff was very friendly and the place looked great inside. Breakfast was decent and location was great.
Cons:The restaurant there could have been open later and there were spiders in the room and we were bit a few times over night.

Pros:The hotel is in an old building. The building feels like the 1920's or 30's, so it's neat to see that. It rates highly for charm. It has a pleasant atmosphere and decor. It's in a great location right down town. The staff seemed friendly during my interactions.
Cons:The hotel is going through some major renovations. When I stepped off the elevator I could see all the construction happening in the rooms. It felt like I just stepped in to a horror movie set! Not much can be done about that till the renovations are complete. The walls are thin and there is no AC. the hotel does provide a fan which proved adequate. The bathroom could have used a thorough cleaning.

Pros:The hotel was great! It was super cute, charming, and unique. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms that don't have an in-room bathroom are very close to the hall bathroom (some rooms do have in-rooms bathrooms.) The hotel rooms were clean, and the staff was more than accommodating, helpful, and friendly! My husband and I had lots of fun staying here!
Cons:The parking situation isn't perfect. However, we came in late and had difficulty finding a spot, the front desk employee went and moved her car so we could have a spot! There was a little noise, being downtown and on a weekend, but definitely not enough to be bothersome for us.

Pros:I liked that your hotel was in a safe place. Further, everything was neat and clean.
Cons:The mattress felt like a board and didn't enjoy having to ask for a hair dryer and then return it to the office. Most hotels offer that service.

Pros:Staff was nice. Location was close to food and drink. Really in the thick of downtown Petaluma.
Cons:Yes, usually this hotel is one of the cheapest in the area next to to Motel 6, but after staying at both places, I choose Motel 6. The best thing it had going for It was that the hotel was located within walking distance to everything you came to Petaluma for. What also comes with that is every bit of noise from traffic and neighbors. No A/C (they give you a fan), communal bathrooms, and tiny rooms that were lit up from the streetlights Just go to the Motel 6 if you're looking to save. Plus they're remodeling. It won't be too long before this hotel is charging $250+ for rooms. We spent $110 and we're wishing we hadn't.

Pros:Walking distance to downtown Petaluma businesses. Honest about what it can/cannot offer. Clean room.
Cons:Could get warm. Standard room is a bit small. Hallway noise could be bothersome if other guests are loud. Need "do not disturb" signs!

Pros:Loved the original feel of 1923! Original hardwood floors, the narrow stairs, the old elevator door that had to be opened by hand, original bathtub and medicine cabinet! Beds were adequate and comfortable. Plush towels and bedding. Doors came with real keys. Windows opened to the outside and there were screens you could shut over them. Well kept, freshly painted. One has to be appreciative of historical buildings and not expect all the added comforts of modern times such as large rooms or lots of counter space.
Cons:The window was single pane and did not keep out the street noise. There is no AC in case you visit in summer. The original sink in the bathroom had visible signs of wear - authentic you could say. One must find street parking, but it isn't too difficult if you go up the side streets. All that being said, my husband and I would still recommend it for the 1923 experience.
