Padua hotels near Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua

Pros: Everything was great!

Pros: Price was ok - less than 100 eur per night. They have 24 hour reception, which was important for us since we were on a road trip and arrived late.

Cons: The location is a bit far from the city center, however this was not a big issue for us. The cleanliness was the real issue at this property, there were balls of dust under one of our night tables in the room just next to the bed. Also - there were 2 of us and the towels were only sufficient for one. Even though we had booked a double occupancy room for myself and my spouse, they had only put one set of towels in the room. The restaurant recommendations provided by reception were very touristic and it was obvious they have an agreement with certain restaurants to supply them with clients.

Pros: The New Year Eve Gala Dinner was amazing (again)! Thank you for that! The waiters in the restaurant are very professional and friendly, especially the restaurant manager! The breakfast also was very good! The bed is very comfortable and big.

Cons: Everything was good! If you want to visit the city center by walk, the hotel is a little bit far, but with a 20 minutes walk you can reach the famous places...

Cons: I booked a suite for my wife and my 7 months old baby boy. We were there for a jewellery exhibition First room was too hot we complained 2 hours later they said it was not going to get fixed so they changed the room. Second room was too cold as it was controlled by the hotel we called 7 times and they couldnt fix it they didnt even get in touch to say they couldnt fix it. My son became sick i spend the nite at the hospital when we came back room still wasnt fixed. We ordered margarita with olive oil they brought me a coctail. As I was checking out the lady asked about my sons health when I said we were at the hospital all nite she said “anyway” here is your bill. I told her how bad the heating and cooling also their way of handling it she said “its centealised all the rooms are same. I reminded her it wasnt as we had to change the room once. She then said “anyway” and gave me my bill. It was like joke. I travel all the time and I have never seen customer service like this ever. I will also write to tourism authority as well and complain. A health risk hotel. Zero education on customer service. And my son is 7 months old how bad can you be looked after by a 4 star hotel!!!! No management no attention to guest and rude and insensitive staff. Worst experience ever. Really bad 2 nites in this awful hotel. All I can remember is the lady saying “anyway” after I put my concerns to them. Do not stay at this hotel if you want your moneys worth !!!

Pros: spa was beautyful and staff was really helpfull- felt really relaxed breakfast buffet was very good

Cons: room wasnt in a standard as I expected, not really clean, bathroom need some refreshment

Pros: value for money, room was very large, good bed, free parking, soft drinks are free

Cons: swimming pool requires caps that no id guests have, pool empty, wellness set 15 €, you have to buy slippers for the pool too ... really bad.

Pros: Cosy atmosphere, and fine facilities despite the age of the building. The location overlooking the Cathedral is just amazing. Really nice and service-minded staff. Will come back!!!

Pros: Room had very good view, even tho it wasn't modern. Breakfast was ok as well. Location is very nice its directly near St Anthony Cathedral

Pros: The double room (panorama view of the Basilica) was attractive and comfortable with small table and chairs, good bathroom, very quiet despite overlooking the Basilica. The staff were very helpful and clear, responding quickly to needs. Breakfast was good for the hotel class.

Cons: Heating is by warm air circulation. There is a small black box that can control it. Towels are always replaced, whereas I prefer to reuse them. Twice a bottle in the small mini bar (only 4 items) was not replaced.

Pros: The breakfast was good, only the hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon) was missing.

Pros: Staff were excellent , especially those at the reception desk. They solved a few minor problems that we encountered. Breakfast was decent and sufficiently abundant. Location was very good, just near to the superb Sant' Antonio cathedral. All tourist attractions, tram and tram stop, are within easy walking distance Despite the central location, our room was quiet and sleep quality good. , .

Cons: Would suggest a duvet (down bedspread) instead of woollen blankets. Availability of electrical socket converters to fit the rather unusual vertical three pin sockets could come in handy.

Pros: Located just opposite of the train station, this hotel is also very close to the city center- an easy walk in 10 minutes. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast comes with many choices and is served in a very nice room.

Pros: It is immediately adjacent to the rail station and the tram line to the old town is next door in front of Mc Donald’s. Third stop on the tram line to the old town centre or a 12 minute walk.

Pros: Easy to take the train. Otherweise better to stay in the centre

Pros: Staffs we met were all very friendly and of help. The bed was big, and the room was fairly clean. Good breakfast, not massive but enough to choose.

Cons: We were located on the A floor, the room was a bit dark, but that was not a big problem.

Pros: Very close to station, polite staff, good breakfast selection, large bed, clean.

Cons: The shower head didn't really work, so had to squat in the bath. Not what you really expect with 4 star hotel.

Cons: It was a sleepless night due to the hotel location. The hotel is close to Macdonalds which is working till late night. During the whole night I was listening loudy noises like moving furniture, out loud speech and music and showering toilet. Moreover, I approached several times hotel stuf and ask for help but their response was that they are well aware and it is their constant problem but they could not influence Macdonalds till 2 am due to local law. Thus, I would not recomend this hotel for stay because if you got room in the right wing of the hotel bordering with Macdonalds you can forget about sleep.

Pros: Everything about Hotel Grand’Italia we love so much with my family.. Staff,location,cleanliness,breakfast,everything... They were all Ups!

Pros: Location 100' or so directly in front of train station is a big plus. Above a McDonalds and KFC would ordinarily not be worth mentioning except on a late Sunday night when every restaurant in Padua was closed, both turned out to be the most popular places in town, including for us!!! Staff very helpful with multiple and frequent questions. Breakfast room beautiful. Rooms, air conditioning, wi-fi, all better than most. When anyone has a problem with their iPhone or computer as we did, lots lots of electrical shops within a block or two that took care of the problem, cheaper than at home. Bus to VCE perfect and cheap. Would definitely do it again, and Padua deserves another visit.

Cons: Maybe the apparent immigrant, "refugees" loitering on and around the area.

Cons: The number of staff not enough to cover all the services.

Pros: Very nice service, excellent breakfast in a terrace overlooking Padova. My room was clean and well organized. In my offer parking was included and breakfast just 3 euros.

Cons: Room was nice but small. The TV set antenna was disconnected, I had to connect it myself. The rest was ok, really no other complains.
