Pros: Staff and accommodations were lovely. Restaurant was wonderful. Looking forward to ski holiday this winter.
Pros: Our first stop whilst travelling around Switzerland. Everything was beautiful! The staff are amazing and location, views and building is beautiful. Very much looking forward to staying again. Food also was very good!
Pros: Cute cogwheel rail up to the top. Short walk to the hotel. Absolutely beautiful, all wooden, magical dream chalet. Helpful friendly staff. Spectacular view inside and out. Super comfy room and bed with a balcony to jaw dropping sight. Jacuzzi in the fresh air, overlooking the valley. Great dinner with Swiss prices. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: Bit too warm inside for my taste to enjoy dinner.
Pros: Nice furniture, great location above the main village and direct access to the hiking trails, great view from the dining room. Very friendly staff
Cons: Restaurant could offer a little more choice, bathroom a little old
Pros: The welcome was pleasant and the view is good. There is a lift which is helpful for luggage. We were pleasantly surprised by dinner which was quite good and inexpensive. Service, overall, was helpful and pleasant. There are nice walks from the hotel which is at the top of town.
Cons: The parking situation is not ideal as there is no actual parking lot, only crowded parking on the road. The hotel is also a little hard to find.
Pros: The place is absolutely amazing. Outstanding view, jacuzzi, the food and absolutely lovely staff. The road was a bit tricky but it was absolutely worth it. Everything in the restaurant is amazing quality, hotel is rustic but in a good condition. Highly recommended!
Cons: The rooms are a bit dark and rusty - there were some scratching noises, could have been some mouses or insects there. Other then that very clean and tidy.

Cons: Did not speak English
Pros: Free parking, clean rooms and very friendly staff.
Cons: The offer at breakfast was very limited. I think even with low budget you can offer breakfast which looks good :)
Pros: The owners were fantastic. Great location and friendly service.
Cons: Liked it all
Pros: clean, comfortable room
Cons: quite hot to sleep, slow check in
Pros: The breakfast was excellent! Even though there was only basic food like ham, toast, egg, and cereal, the quality is exceptional and I really enjoyed having a nice breakfast in this hotel. The room is also really tidy and clean, with a very nice view of Leysin village. Forgot to bring my adapter, the receptionist also kindly offered his help and got me a proper one. Overall, I really enjoy the stay here.
Cons: The location is pretty far - unless you rent a car or have your friend pick you up, its quite difficult to reach the hotel. Receptionist doesn't speak English so it makes communication a little bit difficult. The pressure of the shower is a bit weak and it takes time to heat up (not ideal for winter). The wooden floor also makes weird noises so it might be annoying at night.

Pros: It was a really quaint property especially for being 140 years or so old. The view from our room was spectacular. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.
Pros: The place is very nice, cosy and clean. The place has a lot of magic and the view from the balcony is incredible! There were sun beds to relax. The hosts were kind. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: The mattress was average. I would totally recommend the stay anyway!
Pros: Very homely & relaxed with good breakfast and coffee.
Pros: Perfect hotel , perfect location , great owner
Pros: The view from the balcony
Cons: If staff was less intrusive.
Pros: I like the house, the view from the balcony, a great variety of food for breakfast and especially the kindness of the host! Thank you Jean for helping me with all my requests and see you next time!

Pros: Great ambiance. Loved our short stay. Will definitely return.
Cons: There was no vegetarian stuff, but luckily there was a great restaurant near by.
Pros: The bed is very soft, the heating is pretty warm.
Cons: This is the first time I have seen a hotel's reception does't open 24 hours, I arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm and I was locked out of the lobby door, I have to call the hotel and get the code to open that door, but there is still no stuff at reception and fortunately I found my room key on the front desk, they don't even ask for my passport cuz it's no one on duty in midnight.
Pros: Very clean and friendly hotel. The staff is nice and room with a affordable price. Really recommend this hotel. But the problem is the location nearby only one convenient shop and a few of restaurants.
Pros: Relaxed but efficient atmosphere in hotel. Good dining arrangement as groups were in a different part. Great wine list.Good location for walking.
Cons: We didn’t realise that the menu posted in lifts was a la carte. We ended up eating the standard dinner, although very good was not what we had expected. Then it was too late to change. Excellent wine list though.
Pros: It's a large ski-resort hotel with hundreds of rooms catering to families and bus tours. It does this very well and is reasonably priced (by Swiss standards). If you go half-board, there is a buffet dinner and breakfast, both with a good choice. Even the cheapest bedrooms are a reasonable size, although the fittings are basic and somewhat tired. There are great views from the valley-facing rooms. The pool is a good size and free.
Cons: The sauna and hamman are tiny - not really worth worrying about. There is no pleasant quiet wellness area to relax in. It's a busy place - even in shoulder-season, due to the coach tours. The dining room can be quite a squash and at peak times you have to wait for a table.
Pros: Nice area
Cons: The restaurant food was bad! Pasta was like eating plastic, there was no variety for warm vegetarian meals, Meat every day but no fish. The flat we were given was outside the hotel, in a not nice building, it looked like we were in a council house building, the flat was very basic.

Cons: No real issues to raise in this regard.
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Not much to complain about
Pros: The breakfast was superb and the family room was just fine. We stayed in the main hotel and we would ask for that again as the annex over the road looked a bit remote and unwelcoming.

Pros: Everything is a most beautiful Hotel in an amazing Alpine village!
Cons: Liked everything...Perfect
Pros: Nice family-run Alpine style hotel with modern furbishment and comfortable bedding. Extremely clean room and bathroom. Room is a bit small but there are shelves and wardrobe to put our things. They also provide complimentary mineral water and quality slippers like four-star hotels. Staff is very friendly. Dinner great, especially the lamb chops. Pros: Friendly staff, large and comfortable room with kitchen, convenient location, nice relaxed atmosphere. The Free Pass which gave us free travel on local trains, buses and cable cars was a fantastic benefit. Overall a great place to stay and good value for Switzerland. We’ll be back!
Cons: I would have liked a larger balcony with some shade. A vehicle to collect us from the station would have been an asset. Breakfast was reasonable but some fresh baguette for my husband and ideally some gluten free bread (available at the local Migros) would have been much appreciated. I ate my own gluten free granola every day (brought from the UK) which was fine but I would have liked some other options.
Pros: that it was clean
Cons: Dated hotel
Pros: Excellent situation. Large apartments with loads of space and two balconies. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the lady at breakfast who is super nice and helpful. Best price/quality, you can find in Villars.
Pros: The service was great and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Easy parking.
Pros: Carolina is the best!!
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, and always available. The hotel is very well placed for eating and other such needs. The breakfasts were more than ample, and offered a good selection. The sushi restaurant, which we used three times, was excellent, though a bit dear. We liked the hotel setting - lots of birds, views, etc., although no squirrels.
Cons: We were located in a kind of annex on the top of a hill next to the main building. For us octogenarians it was not easy to access, which made us resort at times to the steep drive, rather than use the stone steps. It snowed unexpectedly while we were there, which made going to and from even trickier. But younger people, in reasonably good condition, should have no problem. And, once inside, the building did have an elevator.
Pros: Very spacious room+balcony! Super friendly staff! 5-min walk from the Villars bus/train station. I think I actually got upgraded to a double room;)
Pros: Spacious room with balcony! My second time staying there in the same month. Sushi restaurant is so authentic, Japanese chef
