Pros: Everything was just great it was very clean it was like home away from home I would definitely recommend that family and friends stay there and i will be back
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The staff is extraordinary and conversant. Very kind. The room was gorgeous as are the view, pool and hammock. Grounds are lovely. Recommended a great restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast is a bit expensive. The shuttle was not free as implied, but adequately reasonable.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My expectations were meet !
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff on duty ( forgot names) were very friendly and attentive.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was wonderful. The rooms and whole hotel was immaculate. Such a beautiful place. Cant wait to return.
Cons: Nothing. The hotel and staff could not have been better
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Always enjoy staying here...Quiet in the cut location.
Okay 5,8
Pros: The young girl at the checkin desk was miserable. Not a welcome or a smile. The support staff the following morning was wonderfully kind and accommodating. But, my first impression about the facility began with the front desk.
Cons: Our greeting upon arrival!
Okay 5,8
Pros: Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable. Bookable car from and to the airport.
Cons: Out of the way with nothing nearby for food, drinks etc. that was walkable. Very limited bar. No options for evening meal. Ideally if staying here you'd have a car to get around. The hotel building was nice enough but at the top of a steep incline which my wife struggled walking up. All a bit isolated, and only one other room seemed to be occupied. Luckily we were only staying one night.

Pros: We loved the staff. everyone was very accommodating. the food was excellent and all of the servers were great!! The pools were awesome and so was the beach!! We loved the private Island. The water was beautiful.
Cons: We wished that the private island was open later than 4:00PM. We were told that they stocked Bacardi Rum, but they did not. The Piano Bar should be open later than 11:00PM. That way you could have the loud music at Crickets and the Piano music for the other crowds. We were told by the reception when checking in that they would stock our room with alcohol, but this never happened. It would have been nice to have a cocktail in the room. The butlers would reserve all of the chairs for guests, but we noticed everyday that many of the chairs were never used, so other guests could not get a good seat.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: From the moment we arrived in Nassau we were treated with a warm welcome. All staff at the Royal Bahamian were very helpful with getting us into our room, showing us where things were located, and got us relaxing into vacation mode right away. Check in was a breeze, our room was great and the food fabulous. We had such a great time with Richando and Savannah at Kimonos. Richando was an excellent chef and showed his talent for cooking while singing to us in his beautiful voice! The food was soooo good. Savanah made sure we had everything we needed and was on hand to refill our drinks often. Breakfast at Spices was wonderful. All the wait staff were very attentive and so nice. We had such a nice time that we're returning to Sandals next year. Don't miss out on a trip to paradise!
Okay 4,8
Pros: Most of the staff was great. Private island is great
Cons: Old hotel, smelly carpets, food was just ok. We had a butler service and one of them was useless. Very small aces to the beach- you can’t walk
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The boats they have on the beach for free. I loved the food. The parties they had in the pool.
Cons: The internet connection was horrible. The waiters were sometimes not so friendly
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Food beach and design
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Staff was amazing Beds were amazing
Cons: Food wasnt great. Expected more bahamian food.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Check in staff the best. Pizza place needs to be a little friendlier. Room was like best western at its best.
Cons: THE ROOM WAS GROSS
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This was everything and more! Definitely recommend. FYI be sure to cater a day for shopping outside as well!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: i liked that it was away from the downtown area. i wanted and needed some quiet and relaxation. i also know a little about the history of the resort and had wanted to stay here for a while.
Good 6,3
Pros: Nice beach close by. Friendly staff and food is pretty good.
Cons: Place is a bit scruffy and not very luxurious considering the very high prices once you include all the extra fees and taxes added to the basic room rate: reckon on 300 to 500 dollars per night. The custom on the Bahamas is to give prices on menus or for rooms without the 12% VAT and 15% gratuities which are automatically added. This hotel also adds a "resort fee", so the initial room rate soon gets heavily inflated.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Loved the staff and the low key vibe.
Cons: access to the beach, steps were a bit tough to manage
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Sitting on the raised deck and watching both the sunrise and sunset. Good strong sea swimming and super-friendly restaurant staff, make sure you check out the catch of the day for a brilliant dinner.
Good 6,7
Pros: Perfect spot if you’re looking for a place right on the beach. however
Cons: The rooms were very old and outdated. We stayed at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for 3 days before here for around the same price and would definitely just stay there next time.
Okay 5,0
Pros: The oceanfront location is beautiful. There is beach access to a very quiet private residential beach. Raised room designs are very cool and pretty. Views from some rooms is amazing.
Cons: Restaurant was absolutely awful. Minimum of 60 minute wait for anything, even as simple as a scrambled egg. We waited almost two hours for food our first night. Thought it was a fluke, so we tried them again....nope....Prices are outrageous for restaurant and hotel. Tons of fees and included gratuities. It is incredibly loud overnight from partiers at the bar. our first room was rather disgusting, the second room was lovely (though on the verge of needing major repairs, including the leaking ceiling). Jacuzzi is cracked and doesn't stay more than half full, so you have to sit on the floor to be covered in water. Pool was closed for a wedding, but too cold to use anyway. This place has incredible potential, but it was not good.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: The property was quiet, perfectly located, and perfect for a vacation. The food takes a very long time though. This should be improved.
Cons: Preparation time of food was very long (1-2hrs)
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We were looking for a small hotel with a bar and restaurant onsite, on a beach with not a lot of people. A place we could relax for a few days. Compass point delivered on all of this and better. Food was better than expected and there are a couple of restaurants across the street. The beaches were near empty every day we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we had (sea view) was well air conditioned and comfortable. We had a great time.
Cons: No cons
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Absolutely everything was perfect from beginning to the end ! The room is huge and comfortable with a king size bed. We only paid an extra $20/ night to get upgraded to a sea front hut. The view from the room is stunning, the swimming pool and the dock are really enjoyable. Restaurant and bar are really nice you can test local food and cocktails ! A special thanks to Karen who made our stay unbelievable!
Cons: It is not a negative point but the hotel is not located in Nassau, it takes 20-25 min by bus to get to the capital, and very easy to use !

Pros: surroundings and staff.
Cons: The person staying above us made alot of noise throughout the night. It sounded like they were moving furniture.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Close to airport
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Clean, comfy and good sea views.
Cons: Long stairs from the entrance to the reception.
Okay 4,2
Pros: View
Cons: 100 m stairs from the entrance to the check-in without any help from staff. Also, free access for any strangers because of lock which does not work, but the staff lies to your face that it works and there is a safe place. They told me to leave my luggage near to the entrance for a bellman who possibly will come in 2 hours. He didn't come at all and I had to lift my all luggage by myself. 60 kg to upstairs for 100 meters. Even I have issues with my arm and can't do it without difficulty. In addition, it was the most awful staying in my life. We couldn't sleep all night because of the noise from everywhere. I strongly not recommend staying there.
Good 7,0
Pros: The location is ideal for travelling from the Nassau airport. It is a beautiful setting with an amazing view of the ocean and cruise ships. The decor is very pretty, with dark hard wood floors, dark furniture, and historical Bahamian photographs on the walls. The staff is friendly. The buffet breakfast is nicely done and very convenient.
Cons: It took at least an hour or more to get my suitcases. The gentleman who carries them up the steps was off property, so it took a long time to get my clothes to change for dinner. Luckily, I was travelling alone, so I could be flexible. In the morning, the gentleman was not on property again. One of the female managers carried one of my suitcases and I carried the other down the very, long set of steps, so that I could get to the airport for my flight.
Okay 5,1
Pros: Unique hotel with a nice deck with a great view of the ocean. The room was clean.
Cons: The hotel advertised a restuarant yet when we got there after a long day of travel we found it was closed on Sunday. We asked what was around and was told we had to take either a 15 min/$$ taxi ride to town and try to find something or walk down to the beach about 15mins in the dark to another hotel's restuarant! Neither were good opinions. The girl at the desk was not helpful at all, giving us no suggestions. Our room was clean but the lock was broken on the French doors leading to the shared balcony (a big wrap porch that circled the whole building), the lamp by the side of the bed was broken, falling off the wall, no air conditioning and the ceiling fan didn't work. We walked through the "garden" and the small pool looked more like a pond! Green! This was only a one night stay to be close to the airport but it was way to much money for what we got!

The small dining area is always spotless and the lady serving is always glad to see us when we return. It's a nice feeling the way we are greeted. The owner and his wife are always on the property and speak to each guest.

Pros: I booked this hotel for my friends leaving Cooperstown for a while after Dorian
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Quiet, cozy place. Good food with a menu that changed. Pretty property
Cons: Not convenient to downtown attractions. $30-$45 and at least 30 minutes to get downtown. Great location for airport!
Good 6,0
Pros: Chosen as close to airport for early AM flight.
Cons: Generally OK
Okay 4,0
Cons: As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe in my room. The sliding door lock did not work and the only lock to the entry door was a small chain that simply dropped into a whole under the door knob.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything about the property was great
Cons: Nothing at all, everything was excellent
Good 7,5
Pros: The staff are amazing lovely people very welcoming if you have any problem with your room their all ways there to help. They also take you to the local grocery shop.
Cons: There was a few power cuts and wifi not working. Wound feel abit more safe if they have a phone in the room to call reception in case of an emergency

Pros: Staff
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The food was excellent. Staff was very nice, and the house band with Funky D was amazing. Great time.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The staff were outstanding. An all-inclusive resort seems to draw hard core drinkers who can be belligerent. The staff were highly trained and kept a delicate balance between courtesy and upholding rules. The food was not great and the alcohol mediocre.
Cons: For the price, the food was as expected.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: I loved the staff and the location and view.
Cons: The television would freeze every 15 minutes for about five minutes or so made watching anything impossible. The refrigerator in the room was a giant block of ice. The prices for food and resort experiences were sky high.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was great, the staff was super friendly, we had a great time.however, The food was not very good. (LUNCh, DINER, JAPANESE RESTAURANT) Breakfast was excellent!!!! We will return again.
Cons: The food was not very good. (LUNCH, DINER, JAPANESE RESTAURANT) Breakfast was excellent

Pros: Very clean. Super friendly staff food was good
Good 7,0
Pros: The view and the staff!!! The piano bar piano player , was awesome! Very much enjoyed all the sing alongs. The vocals of the entertainers, was outstanding! The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time!
Cons: when we arrived the floor we were on smelled bad (musty ). We were moved to a different room on a different floor due to a clarical error that did not smell bad. Went back to the original room to retrieve something that was left & the smell was gone!
Good 7,0
Pros: Staff is the best part of this resort. The Resort is a bit run down and dated and the rooms even more so. We couldn't review the free non-motorized water sports because the were not available to us due to weather.
Cons: Limited dining options due to the on site restaurants only being open a nite or 2 per week. Even on calm days during our stay they had the RED flag out and that shuts down the non motorized water sports. Liquor grade has deteriorated since our last visit
Good 7,0
Pros: The staff was unbelievably great! So kind and very friendly, and on top of that very hard working people. The resort is very clean, everywhere you go there is someone cleaning, scrubbing tables, sweeping/mopping, etc.
Cons: WiFi was terrible, could never stay connected longer than 15 seconds, and I asked the staff about it and they said "yeah our WiFi isn't the best and we hear a lot of complaints about it". Elevator was slow, they had two elevators and only one worked.
Okay 4,0
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: The food wasn't so great
Poor 1,0
Pros: The only thing to like about this hotel is the food and the amazingly courteous and knowledgeable staff.
Cons: This hotel is antiquated just to put it mildly. The rooms were infested with mold on the drapes that probably haven't been changed since the 1980s. There was no layout of the resort at hand for guests to make their way around the property, very confusing.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was nice and clean.

Pros: Fun, quirky resort on a lovely little beach. Pools and hot tub were great. Large, comfortable room was excellent!
Cons: Seems very, Very expensive...but maybe that's just Nassau for you. Moody staff, again maybe just a Nassau theme... The shuttle service is more expensive than a taxi...?!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful property with amazing staff
Excellent 9,6
Pros: large airy rooms with beautiful view from balcony. friendly and helpful staff, good food. laid back vibe, not for luxury/party hunters
Cons: breakfast was very basic, didnt have coffee on last day. Alot of mosquitoes, but then again, it is the tropics
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Not worth it
Cons: 90% of everything
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The bed was comfy .the male bartender we dealt with was excellent.
Cons: Being told checkout was 12 noon and being woken up at 10am?
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved the Staff and all the fine decor of the resort hands down best place in the Bahamas.
Cons: Nothing !
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: The beach view
Cons: Staff leaves early so was not able to get extra towels. No phones in room incase of blackouts. Pool was dirty. No real breakfast. They are tied to a vacation club which is taking time out of your vacation. Not near any real restaurants or good places to go. For the price of the room it's not worth it. Pros: The beach and the water were excellent. The location was great. The activities were nice and fun. Over all a good experience. The staff was friendly and mostly helpful. This location was convenient to get city bus pick up and drop off.
Cons: This hotel was under renovations and it sure needs it in places. After renovations it can be 4 star. The food can use some improving but the options were good. The restaurants are understaffed and there were way too many flies!!
Good 7,1
Pros: Near to the sea,
Cons: Food, coffe...in the Buffet
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We felt incredibly welcome from the very first time, the holiday atmosphere gets inside of you right away. Every member of the personal was incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel is very nice and we had an amazing time
Excellent 8,8
Pros: staff were very friendly.
Cons: bed was uncomfortable
Good 7,0
Cons: There was very bad communication on the things that we initially needed for the stay.
Good 6,0
Pros: I was extremely impressed with the food selection at the buffet. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: They needs to put more work into Entertaining the guest
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beds amazing and very comfortable. All-Inclusive is absolutely high standard with 6 different restaurants where you can dine in the evening. The beach is the best beach I have ever been in my life in the Caribbean. The hotel is huge and it is never boring. Animation, evening parties/music, DJ at the adult pool with an amazing relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9,0
Pros: I loved the location. Beach within walking distance. Food and beverages were also included.
Cons: Yes!! When I made the reservations, I specified that 2 adults and 2 children will stay in the property. When we arrived, we were told that the 2 children were not included. Confirmation said only 2 adults. Very disappointing as we paid $800 more.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Location , staffing very helpful ,food and drinks very good..
Cons: We were placed at the floor 8, very dusty and looked durty. Spoke with staff and we moved to the 3rd floor much better..
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Before going to the Melia I had read all the reviews and most of them were not good so I was a little apprehensive. We did the LEVEL UP and couldn't be happier. Owen at check in was so helpful and helped us with dinner reservations.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very clean and the staff were friendly.. would definitely stay at the resort again
Cons: Gym needs to be upgraded..
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The proximity to the beach, clean pools, talented bartenders, great choice of delicious foods in the (no reservations needed) Market Place restaurant, (server, a true gem). Staff responded fast to any needs. A friendly atmosphere prevailed.
Cons: The reservation only restaurants were impossible to reserve ahead of time. We ended up dining at The Market Place each day. After a rain, the walkways would flood for a long period.

Pros: I was only staying overnight to catch a flight the next morning. The location was close to the airport. The air conditioning worked but was so noisy I turned it off. The shower had hot water.
Cons: In the middle of nowhere. Hotel does not serve food and no restaurants nearby. Half the lights didn't work, the TV didn't work. Hotel a bit shabby and neglected. Poor breakfast; cornflakes were offered but there was no bowls or spoons to eat them with - staff said the bowls were due to arrive next week.

Cons: So uncomfortable, dirty floors and bathroom, no clean towels unless you really argue with the front office, no sheet change in 5 days, smelly water in bathroom, light in bathroom doesn't work, weak shower with little hot water, small shower with no where to put shampoo bottle and soap, just a regular top bed sheet tucked under a really cheap uncomfortable mattress so you end up sleeping on the mattress itself by morning... Staff ranged from unhelpful to outright rude. Wifi didn't always work, signal often weak. Location is terrible -- no beach access for miles, and the hotel driver overcharges you for rides to places around the island where you'd actually want to spend time. Other guests here were Caribbean, I think just staying here while conducting business in the capital or something. This is not the place to stay for a nice, relaxing vacation in the Bahamas. We switched hotels for our last two nights on the island, trying to salvage our vacation -- hotel wouldn't refund any of our money.

Pros: There was clean running water.
Cons: Got bit by mosquitoes big time...
