Pros: Room, location
Cons: Breakfast room was a bit small.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic room The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice
Cons: Nothing
6,7 Good
Pros: The location is amazing. It’s perfect for exploring Venice at its heart. Breakfast is quite good as well.
Cons: Our room was literally a door right beside the counter to check in that we thought was a closet. To enter and exit we had to walk within a foot of the concierge every time we exited the room. It was an incredibly awkward space, on top of knowing any noise we made would most likely be heard not only by the concierge but also any guests in the lobby. It was, as far as I know, the only room in the hotel on the main floor, and should have been marked as such when booking the room. I would have never booked that room had I known what it was. On top of that, the room itself in no way resembled any photos online nor did it feel like a 4 star hotel in the least. If you’d told me it was a 2 star, I’d say that was stretching it even. The staff is not friendly to tourists. We asked for some information and were greeted with groans. One man at the counter even flat out lied, tried telling us it would 72 euros to get a water taxi to take us to the train station when you can literally get a day pass for 25 euros. Had we not been through the water taxi journey the day prior, we could’ve easily been scammed. We also got yelled at for trying to leave the hotel with our key, even though we’d done it prior many times. Somehow they didn’t tell us this information. Be warned the hotel also locks its doors after a certain time, so you can’t even get back into the property without ringing a buzzer and hoping the concierge lets you back in. I’d definitely not stay here again, and wish we hadn’t. It out a damper on what could’ve been a much more enjoyable time in Venice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kind staff who answered our many questions regarding directions, restaurant recommendations, and more. A beautiful hotel with exquisite rooms and comfortable beds!
Cons: A bit tricky to find while carrying heavy luggage. Ask for specific directions, from hotel, if you're walking. Otherwise take a water taxi from the Rialto vaporetto stop to the hotel because one side of the hotel is on a canal.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Traveling with my teen daughter, we booked the first floor (handicap equipped) room for a quick one night stay before leaving Italy; as a result of the room's location, it was very reasonably priced (ended up being right next to the front desk but quite honestly, once you got into the room, you'd never know). It was quiet and like a vault. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, clean, well decorated. Front desk staff were very pleasant. The breakfast room and the breakfast itself was fabulous! It's a lovely hotel, and great location from which to walk to sights. Venice and this hotel was the only place we'd stayed longer on our 3 1/2 week European trip...
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff made every effort to make our stay welcoming, couldn’t fault room, location, staff or breakfast. We used the concierge service from the airport to hotel and return which made our visit totally stress free.
Cons: Couldn’t fault.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A great breakfast. Room was comfortable. Clean. Tea and coffee available in the room.Close to San Marco and the Rialto . Beautiful spacious Piazza in front of the hotel. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you
Cons: The crowds during the day were often unbearable! It was a different Venice in the light of the night.
7,9 Good
Pros: excellent location
Cons: Staff service was poor at beeakfast. Staff has hidden from us the fact that the water taxi to Murano was for free.

7,9 Good
Pros: Great location with a great breakfast... walk to everything, close to water taxi's,
Cons: Staff was a little stuffy; we shared a room for 4 people and it was very tight if you have much luggage
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff kindness, the comfort, and the location.
Cons: I didn't like the key concept. Each time you leave you have to give it to the reception and only one key can be given per room which is not convenient.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, great room and the breakfast was superb!
Cons: N/a
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and fabulous location
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous experience. Hotel A La Commedia could not be more perfectly located: you are steps away from Rialto water bus stop and within 5 minutes walk of Piazza San Marco. In between are some beautiful restaurants and bars, great shopping and small winding streets. Also a handy Co-op for when you don't want to spend 50 Euros for a bottle of wine on the rooftop terrace! The hotel itself is quiet, classy with lovely suites many of which have balconies. Breakfast is absolutely superb - great choice of hot and cold options, fresh juices, fruit, smoked salmon, pastries etc. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. The rooftop bar has exceptional views and is a very chilled spot in which to relax but be prepared to pay the premium for the location. 3 very small beers are 27 Euros. The concierge was very responsive and helped organise several things for my mother's 75th birthday surprise which I was very grateful for.
Cons: This is Venice so you expect high prices and smaller rooms. I would say that the Junior Suite was immaculate but quite small for 3 - would be perfect for a couple but the twin beds were tightly packed together (really was a double bed with only a few centimetres between the beds) and with a sofa bed out, it was quite confined. Balcony was extremely petite!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Dead center of Venezia, you can't go wrong staying here. Breakfast is perfecto, beds just right firmess and softness, bathroom spacious, spotless. Will be back again.
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely air conditioning is so refreshing after being out in the sweltering heat. Elegant room with typical Venetian furnishing. Excellent housekeeping with an endless supply of clean towels. The turn over and complimentary sweets and bottled water such a nice touch. Loved the complimentary slippers. Location so convenient near Rialto Bridge. Reception staff very helpful with local information but beware of the free trip to Murano unless you’re willing to succumb to the hard sell of the beautiful Murano glass factory!!!
Cons: Drinks in the roof top terrace a bit expensive but it is very relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. A kettle could be an asset to the room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was close to the grand canal and easily reached by water bus, with many of the main landmarks only a short stroll away. The room we stayed in was beautiful and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly and offered good advice for our brief visit to Venice. There was also Lovely roof top bar
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly helpful staff. Beautiful appointed room very comfortable bed. The position of the hotel in relation to the Railto Bridge. We loved the roof top bar and the very friendly bar staff. Even though the hotel is so close to a very busy area our room was so quiet we didn't hear any noise. The breakfast was fantastic. If we ever visit Venice in the future we will stay at Hotel A La Commedia
Cons: It was perfect for our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very plush for a European hotel, staff was friendly and helpful, great location.

Pros: Great location! Very modern hotel. Excellent breakfast!!!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was brilliant, few minutes to Ponte di Rialto. So 15 minutes to Train station or 15 to St. Mark's Square - almost a centre of Venice. Hotel is well maintained with amazing Ca' d'Oro view over window in case you your room is on canal side.
Cons: I was missing poach eggs option for breakfast :), in other words after a week I have got bored with a breakfast choices. Saying that my wife enjoyed it all the time.
7,5 Good
Pros: Everything was excellent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Wonderful breakfast. Terrific staff. Our room was on small side but big enough. Request canal view. Costs a little more but worth it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and great accommodation!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, rooms. The hotel is how should a hotel look like, no kitchy and vulgar marble decorations as you can find in other hotels in venice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Professional staff eager to assist ; spoke English location central but quiet
Cons: Nil complaints
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful View of the canal Excellent AI conditioning system Friendly staff
Cons: Even friendlier staff
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a great location with good room facilities inc. iron and board when requested.
4,2 Okay
Pros: The hotel is fine.
Cons: What would you call someone who charged you $300 to wash a single laundry bag of socks, underwear, and tee shirts? We asked the front desk if they could do a simple wash and fold laundry service, as we have been traveling for over a week. They said they could take care of it. Seeing their steep prices for dry cleaning, I confirmed with the front desk that they could simply throw our socks/underwear in a single load and dry them for us. They confirmed that this could be done. We checked out and saw we were charged $300 for this service. $300 for a load of laundry. When I told the front desk that this was outrageous, and that I would have never agreed to pay that price upfront, they were unsympathetic. This is wrong, and ruined what otherwise would have been a nice visit to Venice. If you can relate to this travel nightmare, take your business elsewhere. Don’t give your money to thieves.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff walked us to our room to show us important information about the room. Plugs, lights and how to open the door, etc. Very helpful!
Cons: Everything was great!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The location was quiet but within walking distance of St. Marks Square. The breakfast was delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the room was air conditioned and clean.
Cons: Nothing.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The view from all the bedrooms is quite spectacular. its loveliness gave us pleasure every time we looked out of the window. This hotel has the best view in Venice! Breakfast is excellent. The croissants were better than French ones. There was plenty of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: When we arrived we were supplied with 2 small bottles of mineral water but this gesture was only for day one. We felt that it would have been a tiny cost to the hotel and a useful gesture for us if we could have had a bottle each every day. After breakfast the hotel doesn't have a bar of any sort. This is a very tiny complaint and is meant more as a suggestion to the hotel manager.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very pleasant and helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Views and Breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for biennale and local restaurants . The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful . The ship theme was interesting and made for pleasant cosy decor It’s an easy walk to more central areas and all the sites but good to get away from the crowds Also the water bus is a couple of minutes walk away for accessing more remote areas
Cons: The bedroom is too small although makes the most of what is available A small weekend suitcase would have been easier to accommodate than the 2 large cases we came with
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, view on laguna, froendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location - Friendly staff Good Breakfast - Beautiful clean rooms Will book again
10,0 Excellent

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly positioned hotel for Venice Biennale Less than 5 mins walk to Arsenale venue and 10 mins to Giardini On the waterfront Stunning views of St Marks basin and San Giorgio Arsenale vaporetto stop practically outside Great value, especially weekdays Lovely staff at breakfast Small but tasteful rooms, all of which have a view Close to everything but away from crowds
Cons: WiFi didn’t work in our room (404) the entire 5-day stay, could only use in public spaces, which isn’t really acceptable these days

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff. Room excellent. Breakfast very good. Great location for water transport and close to restaurants and heart of Venice.
Cons: Nothing!
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Situated in a more residential part of town - but only 10 - 15 min walk to all main attractions this hotel was awesome. Staff were ridiculously friendly. Place is like a 5 star hotel. Completely renovated - all high tech switches in the rooms. Extremely cheap for what you get. Will be only place I stay in Venice from now on!
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service by very professional staff who were extremely helpful with all our needs. We had special religious needs on Saturday and the staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was very special in this boutique hotel in Cannareggio area of Venice on the canal. Absolutely peaceful and serene atmosphere that made us forget all everyday concerns. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again this summer when we return to visit Venice.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I recently stayed at the Ai More d'Oriente for 4 days and 3 nights in December 2014 and loved it. Here's what we loved: LOCATION - The location was perfect... close, easy access to the vaperatto's (Venice's water taxis) as well as a short walk to the city center. STAFF - The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. AMENITIES - Free wi-fi and breakfast. ROOMS - Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are small but 1. that's to be expected in Europe and 2. We didn't come to Italy to stay in the room so the size wasn't an issue for us. Overall we felt we got an excellent value for what we paid. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: The breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The coffee was excellent but the food options were not to our liking. However, it I free so not a big deal for us.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is great - it’s very close to the busy streets and restaurants yet two lovely bridges and small passageways away to be calm and peaceful enough. It’s also very easy to get to from the airport (about 25 mins) by taking the water transport. The room is spacious, clean, with attention to detail, and the bed is very comfortable. We even had a small balcony. The breakfast offers a good variety.
Cons: Unfortunately the air conditioning only seemed to allow for the room to be freezing, another setting didn’t seem to be working. The breakfast can be eaten outside in a small area which however will be interrupted by some cheeky pigeons. We wondered if a better fence might help to keep them away so breakfast could be more enjoyable outside. The staff was helpful and friendly but we sometimes missed the service-with-a-smile or just a little bit of chitchat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was spotless clean, very comfortable room, staff were very engaging, and the breakfast buffet items were good quality. At breakfast the hotel gave a small birthday gift (we guess they knew from the passport at check in). The hotel is in a quiet area with several nice restaurants/cafe within just a 3-5 minute walk, and only a 15 minute walk to the train station.
Cons: Our only negative was the WiFi generally unavailable in our room and spotty in the common areas.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice clean rooms, nice hotel
Cons: Room was a bit on the small side
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it was in a more quiet section of Venice and that it was directly on the water, so boat taxis could get to it. Also the staff were incredibly thoughtful and helpful, they arrange free tours to Murano and help you with ANY request you may have. We had to check out at 6am and they even packed us a “to go” breakfast.
Cons: The only thing that wasn’t amazing was the WiFi connection, it kept breaking off.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely superb service, we go there every year to end our holiday in Europe on a high note, staff always remember us. We are always made feel very special and important and I have no doubt so are other guests. The customer is always of most importance :). We love this place !
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely kind and helpful, they even booked a good restaurant for us and gave an upgrade in the room, as it was for us a special occasion.
Cons: Certain common parts of the hotel maybe a bit “tired”
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, good air condition inside the room, nice staff
Cons: Everything was good, only the cups for tea were too small

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location - footsteps from San Marco. Staff treated us like royalty. Without exception. They were so polite and went the extra mile, for example when we asked for help to find a Gondola ride at 11.00pm, the concierge personally took us through the streets to a place he knew would still operate at that time of night. The music in the bar was fabulous; the singer on Friday evening had the voice of an angel and had a great repertoire. The bar manager recommended the most amazing cocktail- it was blue and so refreshing - I forget the name but just ask for it. Breakfast is served in a beautiful palatial salon with walls adorned with frescos and Venetian chandeliers. Great selection and of the highest quality; fresh fruit, cakes, prosciutto, eggs, cereals; smoked salmon, smoked trout, juices, Prosecco and the best cappuccino I have ever tasted - ever. And to our delight we were offered as many cups as we wanted by the most cheerful staff. Our room was beautiful and elegant and in keeping with the Palace that it is. We had a dressing room with plenty of space, a good secure safe, a sitting room, and the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom was sumptuous and stocked with lovely shampoos and the like and bathrobes and slippers. (Room 260).
Cons: Nothing at all.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for holidays
7,5 Good
Pros: The Concierge and front desk staff were excellent responded to all requests and were highly professional
Cons: The web page suggests you can see the lagoon from terraces a key usp. This is actually a superior private area and is misleading. Breakfast was adequate although friendly staff didn’t explain what was and wasn’t included I’d have expected the choice of fresh cooked eggs for the price. Dinner outside was disappointing the chairs uncomfortable and without cushions meals ambience disrupted by passers by who almost knocked the waiter over.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Staff were good and helpful. Warm welcome. Got a complimentary upgrade. Good breakfast collection. Nice touch overall from all staff we interacted with.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located in the perfect location in the middle of San Marco. It was in the middle of everything in Venice, with wonderful coffee shops, restaurants and bars all around as well as luxury stores. The hotel itself was wonderful, the triple room was extremely spacious and with a view right on the canal. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful stay and i will definitely be there again!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and nice room good value of money
Cons: The taxi can not reach to hotel
7,9 Good
Pros: I liked the style of the room and I also liked the location as it was in the centre of Venice with lots of things to do within walking distance. We also had a leak in on the second day of the room and it was dealt with very efficiently and the problem was solved within a matter of minutes.
Cons: I was not happy with the staff as they were rude whilst I was checking in and out of the hotel. Everything inside of the hotel was also extremely over priced so was reluctant to have a drink inside of the hotel which is a shame, as it would be a lovely place to have some food and drink. I also paid for the 'Luxury transfer' from the airport to the hotel which I was told I would be picked up in a Mercedes S-Class, whereas I was picked up in a VW van which I felt a bit hard done by considering it cost's £240 for 2 people with no luggage!

Pros: The staff are helpful, friendly and fast. Location is so good
Cons: The room cleanness is not good for 3 days they dis not remove the used towel or clean the trash bins. They did not even remover the used shampoo bottles!

Pros: Price, location near train station, clean spaciuos room, staff (we were checked-in earlier than standard 14.00)
Cons: Can't think of anything. Maybe breakfast could have more options, but it was standard for Italy.

Pros: Great and convenient location near Venice Mestre railway station. Friendly staff. Close enough to supermarket. Frequent and cheap trains to Santa Lucia. Relatively silent place in comparison to main tourist routes in Santa Croce and San Marco. Amazing place to stay if don't want to overpay for hotels on main island.

Pros: So tastfully decorated and comfy! Nice large room and beautiful bathroom. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: I booked a deluxe triple room and it was stated on the website that there would be three single beds inside the room. At the time I checked in, I found one double bed and a small extra bed in the room. The room was so crowded that there was little space for walking. Then I came back to the reception, the staff who named Eduard(I apologise if I spell your name wrong) just refused to even separate the mattress and said the only thing he can do was to offer one more bed sheet. The same time, another guest met the same situation, and his colleague said they will separate the bed for them immediately. I can’t understand how could this happen. Please give your reception staff some more training. Because I believe treating the guests with different nationalities equally is the basic manner of reception. The reception is the first image of your hotel which didn’t give me a nice impression.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was great - having stayed in St Marks square and the Lido on previous trips I chose this area to be close to the cruise terminal and still with plenty to do - it was a perfect location for my needs with lots of fab restaurants and shops but quieter and better value than the tourist traps
Cons: The decor was lovely and it had modern furnishings without being too minimalistic - it is a similar style to my own tastes so was lovely
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a terrace suite with a jacuzzi which was a nice to relax in with a bottle of complimentary Prosecco! The room was nice and cool, temperature controlled by the hotel but we had no issue with that, we were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and modern (although the toilet wobbled a bit I thought I was going to fall off!) Location is fat from the main plazza, but it is well connected by waterbus (when you get the hang of it! We bought a 3 day ticket from a machine located by the Rialto bridge and can get on and off as much as you want, but can also buy single tickets on the bus. ) Breakfast buffet was incredible! One of the best I’ve ever had, so much choice (fruit, full English, cold meat, cakes, every kind of fruit juice you can imagine, tea, coffee, even Prosecco) Delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: We stayed in a suite, the room itself could do with a bit of updating, looked a bit tired, especially the balcony area and jacuzzi. Enjoyed some lovely cocktails but service was extremely slow.
7,5 Good
Pros: staff is friendly, location is nice, breakfast is very good
Cons: the colour theme is very dark, especially in the corridors I realise it is a style issue but it is too dark in my opinion.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were wonderful, they were very helpful and very knowledgeable... Breakfast selection was great and staff were very friendly.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great - some nice restaurants beside us (probably 6) and even though in a lovely quiet spot - it was only 10 mins to walk to really busy area full of restaurants, bars and shop, but because Venice is so busy, it was nice to retreat back to our location. There are 3 water bus stops right beside us and it was a great service so able to get to places really easy. They always came regular. Hotel was lovely we had booked a junior suite for 2 adults and 2 children age 13 and 16 so great space. We were also able to pick up take away pizzas for our room. Loved it. Staff great, breakfast very good, clean rooms, couldn't fault the hotel.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like about the hotel. Would highly recommend. Just one thing might be an issue for some, the air con is controlled by the reception, so if you need temperature changed or switched on and off, just phone down to reception, and they automatically sort it for you. There was never a problem, always efficient.

Pros: First of all allies it was a wonderful and let us check in four hours early. That was extremely nice and unexpected.
Cons: The hotel, the location, everything about it was amazing. Our room did have a little bit of a moldy smell to it but I think that's because they turn the air off when you leave and of course they are on the water. Again, I highly recommend this hotel it

Pros: Nothing in specific
Cons: There was lack of information, I had asked for few tour reservations and none were met. It is very difficult to get proper information. Room was not great at all. Thou I had three night stay they didn’t give me a good view. Hotel should provide the right details about water bus and the stop where we should get down to reach the hotel.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Incredible view. Friendly staff. Coffee maker. Good lighting in the washroom. Proximity to water taxi is excellent just outside the door to the right. Centrally located on the Grand Canal.
Cons: Would have liked to have an iron and ironing board.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: good location, beautiful room, and it's very quiet and safe area to stay,i like the balcony of the room, can see the river, and the garden for breakfast is also very beautiful
Cons: the breakfast it is a little bit boring and not so much choices compare to other nh collection hotel, and the waiter also not introduced what food can be freshmade by the restaurant, and also don't have any list about that, and some food also don't have supplement when it is already empty. another thing is about the room cleaning, the balcony is good, but as a part of the room, when the first day i arrived, there was short period of rain, and all the seats and table outside were wet,and they didn't do any cleaning of that, just keep the water on it,even it didn't rain anymore,i think the room cleaning should keep every place of the room clean

Pros: Staff were so friendly...area was so beautiful... just the best experience hands down.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Especially the staff was very friendly helping us change rooms and with every of our needs.. The location is very good so central to everything we wanted to see .. piazza San Marco with dome and doge palace...

Cons: Wifi a bit week
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is situated on an island and is accessible by water taxi or by the courtesy shuttle boat from St Marks square and they are regular throughout the day, on arrival we checked in and headed to rooftop adult-only pool, the attendant made ready 2 lounge chairs and we sat with the most amazing view of Venice and it really was all the sightseeing we fancied doing after travelling for days, It really was special.
Cons: As it was on an island and a resort hotel it might have been good to have some entertainment on in the evening, it may be so but not in the evenings we were there.
7,1 Good
Pros: 1. comfortable shuttle service to Venice 2. good breakfast 3. nice and helpful staff 4. clean rooms
Cons: 1. Hotel and interiors are typical for the brand - beautiful and unique neighbourhood of Venice is completely untapped 2. rooms are cosy but typical and not well decorated for one of the best hotel 3. everything is expensive only because is Marriott (not because it is good) 4. You pay for the brand not for quality 5. You have to pay for the wi-fi in rooms (ridiculous at the price of the room)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location - on its own island. Great facilities. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Cons: Bathrooms look a little dated compared to the room itself. Family pool was not as clean as it should be.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was the most beautiful room I have stayed in. Well laid out and incredible decor. The whole hotel is like a museum and a real feast for the senses. Service from all staff was personable, efficient and friendly. This really is an excellent hotel.
Cons: I thought the breakfast could be better. Considering this is 5 star and you pay for that service, you expect a full spread. They have a selection for breakfast which is included but anything cooked you must pay extra. Not necessary.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, bedrooms, staff
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness and courtesy of the staff and the immaculate appearance of the facility
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The ambience at the hotel was delightful. The decor was amazing in the public areas which reflected the fact that this was originally a palace. Being on the Grand Canal was enormously convenient. Water taxis were available immediately outside the door as were the beautiful gondolas.
Cons: We booked the private boat function for the night of the Redeemer and watched the most amazing firework display. However we should have been collected afterwards at 12.30 am to return to the hotel. We weren't picked up till nearly 3.00am as there were no water taxis available!!! This was clearly unacceptable and we eventually had to travel back in an overcrowded boat!! Not to be repeated !!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel excellent location and extremely friendly staff
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent/
Cons: No 110V outlets. No USB outlets. No coffee in room. Not enough pillows. Poor quality pillows.
7,5 Good
Pros: Professional staff, good location.
Cons: Chose this property because it is on the grand canal, what it doesn't state clearly is that only 6 rooms actually have a view, the rest have windows looking onto eachother inside the building.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it was charming.
Cons: No points at all.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, like staying in a museum. Having breakfast surrounded by frescoes was a unique experience
Cons: I asked the front desk to help me book a train to Florence the night prior to checking out. They told me that they could not do this for me, but not to worry as the trains don't sell out anyway. Unfortunately when we showed up at the train station, the train to Florence we needed was sold out ruining our plans for the afternoon. I stayed in two other hotels on this stay in Italy and in both the staff booked train tickets for me
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, charm
Cons: Rooms are a bit tired but nevertheless the price/quality ratio is outstanding and therefore I cannot complain about the rooms
7,1 Good
Pros: Location on the canal was great but a good 1/2 hour walk to the St Marks area.
Cons: Very very expensive restaurant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent. The hotel is just absolutely stunning. The tranquility. The room service out of this world, so efficient. The view so beautiful especially from the roof terrace. Breakfast delicious.
Overview Reviews
With its heritage setting on Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Danieli dominates the Venetian lagoon with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and islands. Also overlooking the Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is just steps away from Ponte Dei Sospiri and Piazza San Marco. The three palaces which comprise the hotel date from the 14th, 17th and 19th Centuries: Palazzo Dandolo in Venetian Gothic style, once home to the noble Dandolo family; Palazzo Casa Nuova, previously the city’s treasury; and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, featuring guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lagoon on its upper floors. The three palaces house a rich collection of precious art and antiques that play witness to the city’s history, blended with contemporary comforts to meet the needs of cultured global travelers. Essential to the Danieli experience is its Restaurant Terrazza Danieli and cuisine concept, a magical voyage for the senses which retraces the oriental influences of spice traders and blends them with ingredients from the lagoon.

Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nearly everything but one very big negative!
Cons: When we first arrived in the beautiful room We couldn’t get the beside light to work. When I shifted the bedside table table a little the badly designed light fell over and smashed immediately. I was then told I would have to pay €120 for the light or the police would be called. I was willing to pay something for the light but felt that it was unreasonable to be asked to pay €120 for a light that 1. Didn’t work in the first place. And 2. The base broke in the process of me trying to fix it. I paid the full amount on checking out as any further delay could have caused us to miss our flight.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My mum and I enjoyed our staying at the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was well-equipped. The choice of food at breakfast time was rather good. The vaporetto station is close to the hotel. The city centre is 15 minutes of a pleasant walk from the hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is gorgeous and the location was just right with a fair walking distance to popular spots. The breakfast is good and staff are exceptional. The hotel sits right along the canal and it is a shame that we did not get a room with a view of the canal as it would have been an amazing view.
Cons: Though the cleanliness of the room was good, the only issue I had was that there was a lot of dust around the aircon unit and when we used my partners hairdryer, dust would blow everywhere. Other than that, no issues.

Pros: Fantastic location right behind St Marco's Square. We have room 405 which is stunning! You have a view of the canal but also private roof terrace which was stunning! Absolutely beautiful to watch the sunrise/sunset and a view across the canal up to the Bridge of Sighs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended some lovely places to eat and we paid for a 1 hour boat trip direct from the hotel to see the sights from the water. On our last morning, we booked a water taxi with the hotel which collected us outside and took just under 30minutes to the airport. A beautiful hotel, will definitely return!
Cons: Breakfast was a little poor. Some days the fruit was a little past its best and the croissants a bit hard but still a decent spread.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall it was in the good location and the staff were nice.
Cons: Buffet place seems little small to move around as we have to give a way to other customers by moving from the chair. Better management of chairs would help. Also, the emergency pull in the restroom could be written with red and place in such a way that customers will not pull thinking as a light switch, as I did that :))

Overview Reviews
Elegantly refined, the 4 stars Palazzo Paruta is a wonderfully noble residence, inside a romantic palazzo dating back to the 17th century. Located a short walk from Saint Mark's Square, offers impeccable accommodations by providing superior customer service. An internal courtyard features an outdoor stairwell leading directly to the halls of the main floor, which includes the charming and refined breakfast room, where you can enjoy a breakfast buffet filled with traditional homemade food. The Property is completely non-smoking including outdoor areas.

Pros: The staff were lovely and really helpful! The location was good and easy to get to everything. The bed was comfy and bathroom was good.
Cons: The room we had was extremely small and our view was of concrete so we didn’t really feel the value in our money because of this. The bedroom area was all red walls and timber beams on the roof which was cute but it made the room feel very small. There were quite a few reviews saying the breakfast was really good.. the breakfast was fine but it’s the same as every other hotel in Europe and Italy, there wasn’t anything outstanding about it for us.

Pros: Wonderful large and luxurious rooms. Terrific breakfast! This place was so central and perfect for a romantic stay in Venice!
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location was only few minutes walk from Rialto bridge. Easy to get to all the main attractions.
Cons: The hotel does not advertise any photos of their standard rooms on booking.com however advertise their suites as well as what looks to be a smaller room (which is actually the bedroom Of their suites) allowing you to assume that is the standard room. When comparing photos and prices online with other options in the area, it looks to be the best value for money however once we got there we were shocked on how small and uncomfortable our room was. Bed had no bed side tables but a wardrobe on either side making us feel claustrophobic. The bathroom was tiny and there was no working fan in the room with 26 degrees. We ended up being way too hot, opened the window over night and got lots of mosquito bites. When questioned the size of room which was not matching what was advertised online and for the price we paid, the reception staff replied with ‘we can’t have every rooms photo online, this is our standard room and only way for a bigger room is to upgrade which will cost you more’ The room was really unbearable so we decided to upgrade paying even more to the already very expensive and not value for money bill. The upgrade was worth it and more reflective to the few we paid. Really spacious suite with an amazing king size bed and jacuzzi room. Breakfast was again not value for money. The breakfast offer was literally bread, couple of cheeses, cakes and fruits. We arrived 45minutes before breakfast was closing to find half of the trays empty, no croissants, eggs, ham or cheese left. Overall very poor breakfast for what is meant to be a four star hotel! We were very very disappointed with our experience, something that we are not used to with booking.com as we travel a lot. I would not recommend, it felt like an absolute rip off.

Pros: Wellness suite 704: Excellent location less than 10 minutes from St Marks Sq & the Rialto Bridge, there's also 3 restaurants on the square and a mini-mart just off it. Reasonably priced mini bar - much better value than local bars. Very comfy bed. Huge TV, with Netflix - not that we used it, but it was pretty. Eames lounge chair - very nice touch. Balcony with table and seating overlooking the sq.
Cons: Door card was temperamental, it only actually unlocked the door one in 5 attempted, you have to listen for the audible "click". Rainfall shower needed a clean, it spurted out at different directions - but it's hard to reach being about 8 foot off the ground so understandable. A larger fridge to store own bought drinks would have been nice.
