Pros: I fell in love with place. It feels like home.

Pros: Staff & owner very accommodating

Pros: The host was lovely and very helpful, walking distance to food and drinks. Very affordable and convenient.

Cons: Small bathroom, poor quality faucet and shower head.

Pros: - Very accessible to the plaza - short walk to 24/7 restaurants - Gerson took very good care of their guest - They offered free coffee and biscuits - The ambience of the facility and the homey vibe of the common area - Near the airport - Parking is available in front of the property - Value for money

Cons: Minor concern at the standard room that we stayed in - smell of the CR and weak water pressure. The room lighting a little dark for us but not enough to break the deal for us because we still highly recommend this property

Pros: The guesthouse was so home-like that it’s tempting to just stay indoors. The bedroom was comfortable and there was enough space for 1-2 people. The included breakfast was good and eating in the big shared space on the second floor was cool and airy. Kuya Gerson was also so helpful and friendly. Location is good, just a short walk to the main road and so close to many restaurants and stores. All in all a good place to stay a while in Legazpi :)

Cons: Small thing — I think the water pressure needs to be checked because the water pours out too strongly and in fits and starts when using the sink. It makes using the faucet a bit hard haha. That’s all!

Pros: The place was very cozy and homey. We enjoyed hanging out on the common area. The room was also clean. Overall we had a great stay at Balai Tinay.

Cons: There are times when the water runs out or has yellowish color with rusty smell.

Pros: Accessibility to airport and food houses. Really have one of the best spots to view the Mayon. Also, no additional charge for early check-in.

Cons: Extremely noisy room next to super busy main road. Loud traffic noise all evening, night and morning from 5AM morning again. We did not have a good night sleep because of this. Since its far from the city we expected it to be quiet. Far from restaurants and hard to get around in that area in the evening (no Jeepneys anymore, we had to walk home)

Pros: The room was really nice. The staff were amazing! I wasn't keen on the breakfast on offer, so without me knowing the person on reception went out and bought me some breakfast that I did like. They also helped get me transport to the airport for my departure.

Cons: There wasn't a lot in the area, you had to move out of the area to see sights or shops.

Pros: The owner at Balay de la Rama is lovely - she helped us lots with things like telling us where the nearest ATM is, how to navigate the jeepney system, the best way to get to the airport, activities on Mount Mayon, and good restaurants nearby. The location is good for tourists to Legazpi - be aware that the city is busy and very real Philippines, it’s quite dirty with pollution and volcanic dust but it was interesting to see and we were glad to stay here two nights to experience Mount Mayon rather than doing a long day trip from Donsol Bay like some tourists do. It’s on the edge of town on the road to Mayon so ideal to hop on a jeepney just 2km, and also only a 15 minute trike to the airport. We went into the centre of Legazpi once and I see no real reason to stay there. You wouldn’t want any longer here - we went to ATV on Mount Mayon and that was just a morning trip. Go to the restaurant just down the road from Balay de la Rama - Balay sa Bicol. The best food in Legazpi! The breakfast at Balay de la Rama was also lovely. The B&B has a communal balcony with views to Mayon but request the room with the private balcony if you can.

Cons: The shower wasn’t great, it was quite basic and the pressure inconsistent, but that’s the only fault we could find.

Pros: Very friendly staff and really helpful with booking trips and transport. Feels like a homestay but nice rooms that are clean and tidy. We had a little balcony that looked out to Mount Mayon.

Pros: Room is clean and spacious. AC working properly. Breakfast was included thats why it was more convenient for us. Value for money.

Cons: Water in the shower could be improved, so little water coming out the shower.

Pros: We were made to feel very welcome during our stay. We had quite a few questions before our visit and they were so helpful and accommodating. The property was clean and beautifully furnished. It is also close to many of the tourist sites. We really enjoyed our stay at Balay de la Rama and highly recommend.

Cons: We want that massage but unfortunately it's only til 10pm. I think you should offer additional menu for breakfast, also try to offer local delicacies - like suman sa ibus with tablea

Cons: The internet connection was terrible and needs improving. Also not accommodating for families as they only have twin and long beds, that's seems to be the norm in the Philippines though.

Pros: I like the location...I can walk to the downtown area and feel save in doing so even in the evening. The staff is always friendly and helpful. For the money I fine the Hotel St. Ellis meets my needs and desires. When I go to Legazpi I try to stay here.

Cons: It was not the Hotels fault, I just need to book a room with a view. Otherwise I was happy with my accomodations.

Cons: Couldn’t get a drink on the Wednesday evening Sept 11 as there was a private party and I was informed I couldn’t attend that and the bar by the pool was closed, so only way to order was room service so I didn’t bother.

Pros: I super like the location which is atop the hill and it is very near the airport. I also like the restaurant and variety of food for breakfast. The pool location is superb. The staffs were super friendly and accommodating.

Cons: I feel so uncomfortable with the toilet door. There was only one staff attending the customers that made us wait for sometime to check in.
