Pros: The room in itself was pretty standard for the price range (= fully equipped with everything you need, but quite small), but what sets this hotel apart is the breakfast buffet which comes with many delicious local dishes (especially the unagi gohan - rice with eel - was great) and the location, within walking distance from the castle, main train station and entertainment district.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Was there for a night will following the rugby. Easy to locate. Close to the centre and great restaurants nearby. Quiet and comfortable.

7,5 Good
Pros: The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom, was one of the best we've had in Japan. A few restaurants in the hotel, and right across the road from a big shopping centre with cafes and groceries.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: - Great staff and service. - Best location in the city: it's the city's only tall building, connected to the station as well as a number of restaurants and some shops (including convenience stores). Also connected to the Museum of Musical Instruments, and a ~20 min walk to the (reconstructed) Hamamatsu Castle (and adjoining park). - Amazing breakfast: great gyōza, some of the best hash browns I've ever had (and I've been to the US a lot), lots of options. - Comfortable room, incredible view from the 38th floor.
Cons: - WiFi was REALLY laggy, annoying to browse sites and made voice calls impractical. Noticed it to some extent even on the lobby. - Bath/Gym/etc were under maintenance during the week of my stay, this should ideally have been communicated back when I booked. - Rooftop observatory sees only North and South, otherwise you could potentially have some cool view of Mt Fuji and Lake Hamana.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is near the station which was great for getting to Shizuoka and Suzuka

Pros: Being a Vegetarian expected some vegetarian choices. But majority are Non Vegetarian ( Fish, Meat), it was difficult for having breakfast. Otherwise good varieties of dishes. Free drinks ( Coffee, Drinks) are really good. Coffee taste is really good
Cons: Nothing specific to comment. For a budget stay, Comfort Inn is a good choice in Hamamatsu. Would prefer this hotel if travelling with family too. But need to understand the choice / availability of 3 Bed rooms

5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was decent. Good location.
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the pillow had half beanbag stuffing inside. The aircon wasn't working so the window had to be propped open all night. When we rang the reception for an iron and an iron board, we were asked to come get it ourselves from reception. The free flow curry dinner was very underwhelming.

Pros: Location
Cons: Smoking allowed in hotel it stank
4,6 Okay

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The onsen was great.
Cons: For the price I paid, breakfast should have been included. But we booked anyway.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view of lake Hamana was beautiful from the room.
Cons: Although we booked the hotel for three after reaching the receptionist told us that they received information from booking site for two persons. So they prepared a room for two. This miscommunication made us to wait longer before checking in. The rest of the facilities were enjoyable. In a country like Japan where things are always perfect such arrangement was a little bit annoying as we travelled a long distance by car.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Compared to intercity hotels the room size was very good.
Cons: Location nowhere near anything else. The 3 hotel restaurants were either fully booked, closed or ridiculously expensive. I've stayed in far superior hotels in Japan for far less money. No way that should have 4 stars. Rooms and bathrooms are all very tired.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: exceptional room size onsen on site
Cons: some tourists not adhering to spa rules
8,3 Excellent
Pros: An established hotel with efficient staff. Dining facilities in the hotel are good, but transport is needed if outside restaurants want to be visited. A regular hotel shuttle bus is available.
7,1 Good
Pros: It had a coin operated laundry with dryers on the ground floor. They were helpful with the changes in occupants and the extra night required due to the typhoon. It's a multi story hotel near a lake but no access for swimming and the pool was closed despite the weather. The American lady on reception was very helpful. Other staff needed to improve their English. It had a nice foyer and a reasonable coffee shop.
Cons: The hotel is beside a lake but it's out of town and the shuttle buses to and from the local train station are infrequent and taxis are not generally waiting at the station. The three restaurants were overpriced. The Chinese restaurant was very ordinary expensive food. The Japanese restaurant downstairs was okay. The French restaurant looked like it needed to be refurbished and the cheapest set meal was over 4000 yen. I requested an iron and it didn't come as they said they only had a few for guests. They should buy more. There was no English language TV or even movies for hire which would have been nice when the typhoon kept us house bound for a day
9,0 Excellent
Pros: exceptional room size nice onsen on site
Cons: some tourists not adhering to spa rules
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Miss Laos reception is much helpful and great service-mind. Panoramic view of Hamanako lake is best Onsen and breakfast is good japanese standard
Cons: The hotel is too old need to renovated Some odor in the room

Pros: Great location if your traveling by car. Only a minute from the nearest highway entrance. Lots of good and inexpensive restaurants nearby. The public bath was very relaxing and more comfortable than the unit baths.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Staff were very helpful and willing to assist
Cons: Room was poorly put together. Double bed has single sheet fitted so we had to request further sheets. Certain areas of the hotel had an extremely strong cigarette smell.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was very comfortable and quite large; there is even a TV in the bathroom! Clean room. There is a fridge as well as a freezer in your room. Vending machine in lobby for drinks. Breakfast is included in the rate and although it is simple it was quite tasty. Train station is a 20min walk away else 5min by taxi.
Cons: The rooms had no-smoking signs on the doors, however, the rooms smelt of smoke (we stayed here on 2 separate occasions). There is also no proper AC but rather a dial on the bedside table to select either AC “on” or “off”. Luckily the rooms have balconies so you can open the door for fresh air and also to get a bit of a breeze.
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice. I enjoyed freshly cooked fried eggs. The building made me feel like I was traveling in the 1960s. The view from the room was nice.
Cons: The refrigerator was noisy so that I used ear plugs while I was sleeping. The room was not soundproof.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Well situated for the station and main transport links and close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Cons: Beds were very hard. Most places we stayed had hard beds but this was the hardest. Not a great sleep.
