When returning the vehicle, the agent found two speck-of-dust-sized chips on the windshield. I'm almost certain these would have been there when I picked it up given I never would have seen these without the special flashlight he was using for his own inspection. Now I am being charged $3000 after having been extra careful with the car. Filing insurance using my own credit card benefits so should not be an issue - but overall a terrible experience with drop-off, leaving me feeling cheated.

we had a trip delay (Delta Airlines) of about 12 hours. Atlanta - Geneva. The Alamo rental office in Geneva French side was closed. So, we slept in a hotel in Geneva. We got the car the next morning. The Alamo employees could not have been nicer. They under stood our big delay, I think they gave us a one-level up SUV. The car had no problem, except one morning, the red light for oil and maintenance lit up. We stopped at a garage, they added a little bit of oil, checked all fluid levels. This fixed the light warning. We had no problem thereafter. As I returned the car, I mentioned the CHF 12.50 expense. The Alamo employee reduced my bill, by this amount without any question. Overall, very pleased with Alamo Geneva French side.

Warning - this company is fraudulent. During my rental, I hit a small animal which caused small damage to a plastic part on the car. This required replacing the plastic component, something that was billed at 700 CHF. This is fine, and fully my responsibility. However, on top of this, they took the opportunity to also repair a ton of scratches at various places on the car, that had been caused prior to my rental. Even though Alamo acknowledges that the scratches were present beforehand, they still charged me for the paint job of 900 CHF. I have contacted them on multiple occasions to get this reimbursed, and their "damage team" will get back to me "in one week". It is now almost two months. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company, hopefully Alamo will now take their responsibility and behave like decent human beings in a civilized country.

Staff was friendly, but the car I booked was not there. They offered no replacement and no help. Said my only option was to try to book another car from another company at the last minute or wait over 6 hours for the car to arrive (on a one day booking!). So I had to cancel my trip.They could have actually had the car that I had booked. Barring that, they could have made some kind of effort to find me another.

There apparently is a French and Swiss side to the airport with car rentals at both places. The French side is smaller with less car but maybe a better deal. I rented a small suv because I was going skiing. They did not have that car but they “upgraded” me two classes to a luxury wagon without AWd. It worked for this trip but was not what I wanted. Also, the road signs and gps are not clear how to get back to the French side. We almost missed our plane. Found it by accident and not following what the signs would indicate

Staff generally friendly. Super fast drop-off.Difficulty at pick-up. Required to provide a flight number although leaving in the region. There was no mention of this anywhere on kayak's or wisecars' website through which the car was booked.

Car was not ready. Staff was excellent; gave us a small van to use for a few hours while we ran some local errands & then upgraded us with free GPS when we returned to pick up our smaller car. Our rep, Mac, was super accommodating & on top of every detail.Nothing, experience was great.
