Hotel Wasserfall

A very nice area leading up to the Grossglockner toll area. Be aware it is 28 euros to drive through the road that goes to the peak and park areas.

This seemed to be a new operation and the staff had no hospitality experience. Very poor service and no one at the front desk for the two days I was there. These people were not friendly toward non-German speaking people, in fact the waitress was rude several times.

Free parking and free access to the public pool. First of all, I recommend that the hotel have permanent personal at the reception. We arrived at the hotel during the check in hours, but there was nobody there. We waited for 15 minutes and still no one came. We had to go in front of the hotel, to the restaurant and ask for someone to come and check us in. Also, our reservation was misplaced and our luck was that we had with us the booking reservation on print.Even though we asked for a double room with a king-size bed, we got an ordinary double room. The food for breakfast was fine, but unfortunately not enough. If you wanted to find different kind of dishes, you had to be in the restaurant at 8 o’clock, when they start to serve breakfast

Otherwise, if you came later, either most of the food or the juice was finished, and the personnel didn’t refreshed the table most of the times. On the third day, we were moved from the table where we were serving breakfast and told that table was reserved for someone else, even though we stayed there the day before. In different occasions, during breakfast time, there were no cups on the table, even though they served coffee. The personnel were extremely cold and lacked interest in the well being of their clients.
