Pros: It was very close/easy walk to the bus depot for our trip to the glacier (Cal Tur). We could also easily walk into town - easy 10 minute walk. The staff were all excellent and spoke adequate English. They let us check in early which was wonderful and organised our transfer to the airport. We had a simple dinner of soup, home made bread and chocolate mousse after our trip to the glacier and it was 10/10 delicious!!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was great also.
Cons: Upon arriving front desk did not have our reservations until we showed them our booking confirmation number.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: First class hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable bed, extra spacious lobby, surrounded by a small cute garden.
Cons: It’s a bit far from the center. You have to walk 10-15 minutes for the main street, shops and restaurants. The good part is it’s very close to the bus terminal which you will take a bus to glacier
Good 7,0
Pros: Room was well set out, nice view, comfortable, and clean. Staff were good most times.
Cons: Distance from town. Continual power surge and blackouts were common with no explanation from staff. WiFi was either poor or non existent. Advertisement on website for culinary lessons, when enquired at front desk, we were advised that it was only for professionals....very disappointed.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great friendly and professional staff. The room was clean and the bed super comfy, stayed in room 201 in the corner second floor. Breakfast was included with the bonus that they have a proffesional bakery school on the grounds and you get a ton of treats with your meal.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: What a great place, super friendly staff. super clean and got a great night rest. You get great bakery treats for breakfast as they have a bakery school on the grounds.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Spacious rooms, walking distance from restaurants and shopping street and close by is the tourist office. On the day where we left the receptionist was so kind and friendly to help us find the best and safe route back to Chile. Much appreciated!
Cons: Some receptionists were a bit grumpy. Breakfast could include less sugary options
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very good breakfast. In the hotel there is free parking, also the room was comfortable. Amazing relation price-quality, I would repeat in this hotel.
Cons: It is not in the city center but you can arribe walking 10-15 mins.
Good 7,0
Pros: The breakfast was incredible. Konke has a pastry academy on-site and their pastries were out of this world!
Cons: The hotel was not as central as booking.com suggested. It was about 8 blocks from the center of town.

Pros: The room had a large bed, fridge and a lovely hot shower. All the breakfasts we have had in this area have been pretty basic and this was also is but with a few more options.
Cons: More fruit at breakfast.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: LARGE ROOM. COMFORTABLE BEDS. THERE IS A SAFE AND MINI REFRIGERATOR. NORMAL BREAKFAST, TASTY COFFEE. 12 MINUTES WALKING TO THE BUS STATION, VERY COMFORTABLE.
Cons: NO GLASSES. NO STANDS FOR SUITCASES.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything else
Cons: Instant coffee
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Everything was excellent. The room was very Nice and spacious, the bed very confortable, the breakfast was very simple but delicious. But the best part was how Nice the Staff was. It is our honeymoon and they did everything possible to make it a couple of days we Will not forget.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We stayed very well, the room was very comfortable with all facilities, very clean and tidy like a 4 star hotel! They serve a very good breakfast. It's located in a very quite street, about 1 km from downtown.
Cons: Nothing, it's a little bit far from downtown, if you want to walk down.
Good 7,0
Pros: Fantastic value for money, simple yet tasty breakfast, free internet, comfort, friendly staff, nice views of mountains and lake, good accomodation. Location is about 1Km from town - very short walking distance but very quiet at same time..
Good 6,7
Pros: Front desk staff were very helpful. The room is spacious. Ask for the one named "Moreno" upstairs. It overlooks the mountains and Lago Argentina (in the distance.) Breakfast is fruit, yogurt and bread, bread, bread... but that is typical here. The room is not cleaned by maid service consistently, but that didn't really bother me. I'm not that messy and I preferred privacy. Wifi works great. Very comfortable stay. It's about an 10 minute walk down/up a hill into the center of town. I was ok with it but hear some people complain. I'm active and was here to hike, so the small hill is no big deal to me.
Cons: I don't speak Spanish and a few of the reception clerks did not speak English. It made it hard to figure out billing and some other questions, but overall, I have no complaints. This is a really great value and a nice, roomy place to stay.
Good 6,3
Pros: Staff very helpful and pleasant. Cleanliness outstanding.
Good 7,7
Pros: Staff is great. Breakfast is good. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Free internet to hotel guests.
Cons: Location is a bit far from city center. About 10 minutes walk.

Pros: The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The service and food are excellent.
Cons: None

Pros: The location is exceptional, with a very large terrace overlooking the lake. I think it is much better than staying downtown, and it is only ~ 1.5km from downtown. The hotel is very charming and looks like a montagne chalet. The family room area is wonderful with a large fireplace. The bed and pillows were perfect and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fine; nothing exceptional, but fine. It would be REALLY nice to offer paper cups for coffee so that we could take a coffee to go.
Cons: All the rooms are near the reception and family room area, which could be noisy.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Photo are real, terras is good, staff in restaurant is friendly. View from one part of room is nice. There is a private hotel parking near.
Cons: It is the most disappointed stay in all Argentina. It is really expensive and we expected to be in high comfort and friendly place, but: 1. The cheapest toilet I've ever seen in hotels and hostels. And all facilities in room are very very cheap. 2. No iron. They just laugh at you when you asking 3. Dispenser for soap in shower didn't work, but nobody cares 4. No towels changing even if they are dirty. In El Calafate everybody goes to trakking and it is normal if towel is not so clean after first day. But.. nobody cares 5. Very unfriendly blond old lady on reception. She really don't like you and you feel it. Unhelpful and sometimes rude. I asked for 2 glasses (downstairs is the restaurant), she replied that glasses only for persons who bought wine in restaurant. It is just unbelievable for me. 6. Breakfast. OMG! It is just awful!!! There are a lot of jars on pictures and they are really stand on, but I've counted what they contain. So: 3 jars with rice breads (with salt, without salt, with milk), 3 jars with flakes, 2 jars with stale cookies and thats it! Cheese and something like sausage is the only thingyou can get. As the result you see a lot of dishes, but you can't eat anything. Coffee is undrinkable, there are no normal fruits. Same 4 not fresh oranges laid for all 4 days we were in hotel. You leaving the breakfast as hungry as you was before. 7. Far from the center. If you want, for example, another one breakfast in cafe, you need to go 10-15 minutes. 8. If your room upstairs near the restaurant, they will be noisy till 1 am cleaning the hall, moving chairs and so on. So the only purpose we stayed for 4 nights is that all this staying was prepaid... And were really happy to leave this place
Good 7,5
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Location was ok, a little out of town. Breakfast was quite nice. The deck looked great but it was too windy to enjoy
Cons: A bit dated for our air BnB generation... Staff were very attentive, but we found this to be a bit much
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great terrace with an outstanding view on the lake and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was OK although I wasn`t allow to take 2 tea bags from the buffet for my thermos flask with me. Didn`t understand that concept.
Cons: The room and the bathroom was quite small. It was a bit challenging to manage our stuff because we travelled with 3 big suitcases and 2 backpacks.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Owner spoke limited English but when I had an issue with booking a bus trip she phoned her friend who spoke good English and solved the issue. The hotel was quaint and warm. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.
Cons: Nothing I can think of, maybe bacon for breakfast!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Super nice hotel with a fabulous view both from the room and from the restaurant. The restaurant was open late to accommodate for returning late from excursions to the fabulous nature. Really nice food. And location 300 m away from city was ideal.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The room was great. Breakfast from 6.30am which was good because if you wanna do a day tour the pick up is early. Great place to stay!
Okay 5,8
Pros: Good location, cleanliness and good view.
Cons: The worst service i've ever meet. Everybody's smiling but doing nothing to fix the problem. The room had nothing to do with what was stated on the booking pictures. They suggested some "excursions" to the glacier but it was not an excursions, it was just a transfer. There was no internet connection at all. When i asked administrator to do something with wifi connection, he said that the lack of internet is not their fault and suggested me to wait until the next day or to find another hotel. The next day was the same thing. I could deal with that but the administrator (the guy with glasses) spoke to me very arrogantly and provocative - this is unacceptable.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Warm, inviting, cozy.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: When we arrived, we had the chance that our room was not ready, so the receptionist (which btw was speaking french also) upgraded us to their suit! So we had a bubble bath and a better view to the lake and overal landscape (the hotel is on the top of a hill over the city of El Calafate). And Best of all we had NETFLIX on tv :)) (but I think it's the same in all the normal rooms also).
Cons: The hotel is outside the city, you need a car to go there (and the walk untill there along the road is not a super nice walk..). Also at the first use of the bath it was lot of dust in it (but I think we were the first to use this suit since a while, and we were there a the begin of the season (end october).
Excellent 8,3
Pros: breakfast is super super nice!!
Cons: located little far from centro
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Hosteria Roblesur is a large but cozy guest house decorated with taste. Very nice and helpful owner. Through the owner, we bought tickets for a trip to the Perito Moreno glacier. Tasty, good breakfast. A comfortable bathroom with good cosmetics. 5 minutes by car from the center of El Calafate.
Cons: The room lacked a TV set and a normal table size
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very nice hosts. Everything looked like new and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good.
Cons: The wifi connection could be better, better signal and better speed. However it worked.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Good breakfast croissants from the local bakery. Nice comfortable beds, large size Homy feeling
Cons: breakfast ham was slimy and old Wifi doesn't reach to the second floor common place
Excellent 8,0
Pros: We only stayed there one night, I cannot give a detailed review. Very good location in Calafate. Overall experience was good. Very good taste in decoration, furniture. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Checkout time was very early, 10am. But we understood, because they had little staff and it was fully booked that day. Breakfast was not exceptional, bare minimum options. They charged extra for a couple of eggs!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The place is very nice ... a bit outside from the center with a nice view to the lake! Very good breakfast and wonderful people
Cons: ./.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Owner, Ricardo, went out of his way to provide us with two rooms, including three in one room and one person in another room. Helpful suggestions for dinner and shopping in town. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms well finished. Excellent showers. Enjoyed breakfast. We have a number of serious food allergies and staff made excellent efforts to accommodate our needs.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Exceptional location on Lago Argentino with magnificent view. Big rooms with great equipment, good restaurant and nice breakfast.
Cons: The equipment in the gym is outdated and not well maintained.
Good 7,1
Pros: Location is beautiful, view of the lake is spectacular. Staff is friendly and helpful. Design of the hotel and its rooms is nice.
Cons: Location is not practical if you don’t have your own car or are not part of a tour group. Center of town is too far to walk and food options in the vicinity of the hotel are very limited (none, really). There is a shuttle twice per day but the times were inconvenient for us. WiFi didn’t work because of a ‘problem with the provider’, we were there for 4 days and it looks like the provider didn’t fix the issue. They said it was a problem all over town because it was overcast that day but if I were them I’d look for a different provider because WiFi was working fine in the restaurants we visited. There was a very limited selection of flyers for activities or day trips in the lobby and none of the most popular ones. In combination with the WiFi problem and the distance from the town center we found this a problem because we only had the very short descriptions or even price lists from a folder of a local tour operator they work with to base our choices on. The design of the rooms is beautiful, but quality of construction and maintenance is lacking: the tv isn’t mounted straight, same goes for the bathroom tiles. The reading lights almost fell from the wall. Tiles in our bathroom were cracked and the spa bath + shower looked so gross we didn’t want to shower there much less use the spa functions. The carpet was stained and there was dust on some features near the ceiling.
Okay 4,5
Pros: Comfortable beds and good location with an excellent view of the lake. But bad service. Front desk not making reservations or giving us appropriate messages from tour agencies who changed times for our tours which could have caused us to miss the tours and almost caused us to not have anywhere to eat for Christmas Eve!!!
Good 6,3
Pros: Lake view and restaurant
Cons: The hotel is poorly constructed and not maintained enough. Wi-Fi worked occasionally, windows and door to the balcony did not, some drainage issues in the bathroom.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastic location overlooking Lago Argentina. Large windows allowed for stunning views straight to the lake with no obstructions from just about anywhere. Nice grounds to walk about. Peaceful and secluded. Comfortable beds.
Cons: No hot water in the room before 7am. Meant for a cold shower when we had an early departure.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Fantastic location overlooking Lago Argentina. Large windows allowed for unobstructed views from just about everywhere. Private, spacious grounds for walking. Comfortable room.
Cons: No hot water before 7am meant for a cold shower when we had an early departure to the glaciers.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Such a beautiful space and design. Views are unbelievable
Cons: The food was poor.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Beautiful lake views Quiet Spacious room Great bath and bed
Cons: Breakfast could offer more healthy choices especially fruit
Okay 5,7
Pros: Good service, Nice atmosphere, and a great view on the lake
Cons: A lot of rubbish alongside the street towards the hotel
Good 6,0
Pros: Excellent view facing Lago Argentino, exquisite hotel architecture.
Cons: Staff can be more helpful and the jacuzzi bath in our room (305) was not working.
Good 6,0
Pros: Large bedroom and bed, good location for visiting the glaciers. Friendly staff.
Cons: Some of the fittings were a bit cheap for this class of hotel. Asked for a lake view on our booking months before we stayed. Can´t know for sure but looks like Booking.com clients don´t get the highest priority with this hotel.
Good 7,7
Pros: prefect view of lake and sunset.this hotel outlook is very very cool!!
Okay 4,0
Pros: the wonderful view of argentina lake from our room (not all the rooms have this view)
Cons: We did not like the hotel. It looks poor. The rooms need redecoration. the carpet is dirty. the bathroom looks poor. We found a spider in our room. They did not change the sheets although we stayed there for 3 nights. The breakfast was poor and the food looked bad. I can continue and write bed things but I think tis is enough.
Good 7,3
Pros: absolutely great location. if you stay for more than 2 nights, choose for lake view; it's worth it

Pros: Nice location and views from room and restaurant. Welcoming and friendly staff. Good fitness area with two pools.
Cons: The decor is starting to look a little dated. Breakfast left a little to be desired for our taste although others seemed to be tucking in!
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Hotel has a great view over the lake and mountains. Efficient and reliable shuttle to town center. Spa has 2 heated pools with Mountain View’s. Good massages but limited hours.
Cons: Missed opportunity with the pools and the windows. Different configuration for the window frames would have given much better views while in the water. Desk staff are fully bilingual English/Spanish, but restaurant and bar staff did not speak English and were not great at adapting to communicate. Service wasn’t bad, but far less English capability than in restaurants in town or hotels in other cities in Patagonia.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We stayed there for 2 nights. The view was amazing. The restaurant was excellent and was opened all day long, so in spite of a great choice of restaurants in El Calafate we ate at this restaurant twice. The meal was perfect and the service superb. The bar was very good also. The SPA zone is well maintained and has 2 swimming pools. The stone massage was very good and not expensive at all.
Cons: The room was cleaned only after 16:00. I understand that there were crowds of people during our stay, but it was not comfortable. Wish to have complimentary bottle of water in room. And also a bathrobe in the room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This doesn’t look quite so promising from the road, more like a barracks but this is a lovely hotel, with fantastic panoramic views over the lake and river mouth especially at night. The rooms are lovely, spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with a quite decent if not quirky add on spa facility and good length pool. The restaurant was very good and packed lunches are available , all at very reasonable prices for the area. It is out on the hill at the top end of town so very convenient for the airport but not easy to pop into town unless you use their shuttle service but well worth staying at for the location and quality of the whole hotel. Would stay again anytime.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Beds are super comfy, good facilities, lovely pool and great view.
Cons: Staff are running around like headless chickens so everything takes longer than it should. Dinner was disappointing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Attractive. Nice rooms. Good view. Nice free shuttle to and from Calafate city.
Cons: A bit far from downtown.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The view of the hotel is the best.
Cons: The hotel has signs of deterioration
Good 7,5
Pros: Shuttle between hotel and town
Cons: Early check-out (10 am)
Good 6,0
Pros: The hotel has a beautiful view, nicely appointed rooms, pleasant staff. It is in El Calafate, AR, which is a center for seeing glaciers and hiking, which is why we were there.
Cons: The hotel is expensive. The breakfast is OK, but not great. The restaurant has a very limited dinner menu with mediocre quality of food preparation. I could not get the wireless internet to work in my room.
Good 6,3
Pros: Warmness of the hospitality of the staff. Regular bus shuttle to the town was great as was the restaurant at the hotel.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: hotel was in a good location overlooking Calafate. The rooms were good, we only had breakfast inthe hotel but that was good. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, even booking a tour for us the following day despite our late arrival.
Good 6,0
Pros: sevice and staff is very good except no air condition in the room
Good 6,3
Pros: Very helpful, efficient and charming staff; Only used the dining room for breakfast but we did enjoy the room layout and the breakfast was excellent
Cons: A little far out of town but the good bus schedule helped a lot
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The stuff were very kind and helpfull
Cons: A little thing: the swimming pool is very little. Nice for staying but too little to swim. Maybe it would be more correct to inform that fact in the internet.
Good 7,2
Pros: The Hotel was excellent. Very good and comprehensive breakfast included in the room rate. Superb views with excellent reliable and quick transfer system to and from the centre of Calafate.
Cons: The only minor let down was the size of the swimming pool which was no more than a dipping / playing pool which felt crowded with more than 2 people in it
Good 6,8
Pros: The design was nice and the hotel shuttle was just perfect The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The computer service was not very convenient and only 2 of the 3 computers worked.

Pros: The staff is very nice and makes us feel like home
Cons: The room is a bit small for 2 adults and 2 kids
Excellent 8,8
Pros: - very friendly hosts. Although there was a language barrière, they tried really hard to help us and make us feel at home. - good breakfast with fruit and really tasty chocolate bread! - nice and clean rooms - good shower - amazing views of the mountains and the lake
Cons: We know that it would be far from the city centre but close to the busterminal. This is not a problem as you can easily walk or take a taxi. However, it also means that there aren't a lot of places to eat in the neighbourhood. This is something you need to take into account if you don't feel like going all the way to the city centre.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The lady from the reception (the one who’s a bit older and does the breakfasts) was the kindest lady we’ve met! Even though our Spanish wasn’t very good and her English wasn’t (though she tried really hard) she was always up for a nice chat and always ready to help us. We absolutely loved her
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Clean, Hot shower, very very nice owner who helps you to feel like its your own home. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this place!
Cons: Rooms are not very large, although definetely compensated by the big shared living room. Not very close to the city center, but its walkable and close to bus terminal
Excellent 8,8
Pros: We were made very welcome. The lounge area and breakfast room is very nice. Bed comfortable. Good radiators, very helpful for drying clothes. Beautiful garden.
Cons: The breakfast is served in a very nice room overlooking Calafate with wonderful views. However the breakfast was poor. It was very unhealthy. It consisted of a very sweet caramel pudding. Chocolate cake. Thick toffee spread. A sweet red syrup. Pastry slices and bread. Coffee and Tea. Pretty awful. Please provide fruit and yogurt
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The place was nice and cozy and the staff very kind and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Our hosts were wonderful and welcoming...a beautiful home- cooked breakfast plus assistance with any queries we had. The location was terrific...walking distance to restaurants and township and close to bus terminal where we purchased tickets for Perito Merino Glacier. Also picked up our bus transfer to Puerto Natales here. Gorgeous views were another bonus of this terrific stay.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Good 7,1
Pros: good breakfast and a short walk from the bus station
Cons: The interior is in an retro design, it is quite far to walk to the town centre (20-30 minutes). Our credit card was charged for a unfavourable exchange rate (from a local money changer), when we asked for the normal exchange rate the host was very reluctant and we had an argument, but in the end we settled for the more reasonable exchange rate of the Banco Nacion and we were refunded the difference in cash.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: It was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: It was warm and didn’t have air conditioner. I know is not usual to be very warm Also, the breakfast was good but it was missing some protein and/or eggs.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Views!! All the rooms face Lago Argentino. The hotel is brand new.
Cons: El Calafate is very remote and hence all hotels are basic. You won’t get luxe hotels out there.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Very clean, beautiful view of the lake, very comfortable bed, desk staff very helpful and friendly
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The staff was amazing and very helpful.
Cons: Too much heating that you cannot turn off.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The location on the front of the lake is simply stunning. We had a suite which I knew when I booked, but it was more than I had been expecting, with our own balcony overlooking the lake. Everything in the room was comfortable and clean, and we had an excellent sleep before enjoying a great breakfast. It was New Years Eve we stayed so their kitchen was meant to be closed except for a special meal they were putting on, but as vegetarians they offered to do us room service of vegetable pasta instead, which was most welcome as it isn't that close to any other facilities.
Cons: The only slight downside is the location with it being quite far from the centre of town and all the other restaurants and cafes, and the parking situation isn't perfect, but it does mention that on here, and we did get parked, so that is only really a minor thing.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Lovely setting and hotel.
Cons: The hotel is located on the lake with a great view but is quite a way from town and very windy. Is the map location correct?
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: Everything was cheap from the shower to the sheets, to the breakfast. The neighborhood is out of the center and still you pay premium prices. I definitely do not recommend it
Good 6,8
Pros: View, quiet location, excellent restaurant, very good value, most staff excellent
Cons: Some staff not very pleasant
Good 6,7
Pros: The reception staff were very efficient and helpful. Their knowledge of the English language was very good.
Good 6,0
Pros: Some caracter because El Calafate has none left. Nicely situated but far away from town for food.
Cons: It is far away from town so have to keep taking taxi´s - had booked double but got twin room. Heating in room was at sauna temperature and the only thing we could do about it was open the window all night - which is not very environmental friendly.
Good 7,2
Pros: Outside of town, an advantage for us.
Cons: Outside of town, so may be a disadvantage for those seeking night life and don't have a rental car.
Good 6,7
Pros: Great location with wonderful views. Staff welcoming and helpful - excellent friendly service. Food was of a good standard and reasonablly priced. Very clean and comfortable - would stay again and recommend to others.
Cons: On the outskirts of El Calafate, so would require a 10 minute walk to town or use of the transfer service if you did not have your own transport - we had a rental vehicle, so no problem.

Pros: As soon as arrived at the airport I was Greeted by a cab driver that the hotel had arranged. Staff was very friendly and helpfull..
Good 7,6
Pros: Friendly, English speaking staff, very helpful in assisting us with information on tours and activities. Great, reasonably priced restaurant. Lovely location by the lake and a 20 minute walk from a nature reserve. Excellent value for money overall. Loved the choice of beverage and cookies while we were checked in.

Pros: Friendly staff, good location and good room. I had a private double room on ground floor.
Good 7,0
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast room was not quite big enough for the number of guests and there was never enough food/drinks, we always had to wait for new coffee to be made or for bread/butter/etc as they were always out. The dorms were okay but only had plugs in one location in the room (not by the beds).
Good 7,0
Pros: Simple but good breakfast! Close enough to the center without being right in the thick of it! Friendly and helpful staff! Quiet and clean!
Good 6,7
Pros: The staff is very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel looks nice. Laundry service is good. Location is ok - around 15 minutes from the Main Street.
Cons: The breakfast is poor - bread, simple cookies, oranges, tea/coffee, hot milk, condensed milk, two kinds of jam. And that’s it. The room was like half in the basement, very low window, not much light, a lot of insects. One night there was a heating, other two nights it was turned off, so it gets cold at night.
Okay 5,0
Pros: The location of the hostel is midway to town and to the bus station
Cons: You have to pay cash
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great people in a proper hostel with kitchen facilities. Fairly basic but clean. Ten minute walk into town and the bus station.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Nice kitchen area to cook the food, staff really helpful, good location
Good 6,3
Cons: Super loud music in the lobby. Had the double room next to the lobby, can’t sleep at all !!!!

Pros: Comfortable bed. Nice views. Clean room and bathroom.
Cons: Poor breakfast and mediocre restaurant food. Shower broke, had to tell the receptionist three times it needed to get fix. Basic furniture and decorations.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Nice view, good breakfast, spacious room
Cons: Walls thin like paper, you will hear neighbors talk, having sex, crying children
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay and the location. The view of the lake was excellent and ask nice to relax and take in the scenery on one of the town shared lounge areas. we liked the quietness of the location, being on the edge of town. The one way shuttle to town service worked well and we used it for dinners. And the mattress was very comfortable and room spacious.
Cons: Minor points but there were a couple of things that could be improved. The toilet flush didn't stop by itself and needs servicing. The breakfast wasn't the best we've had on this trip with dry bread and the container the eggs are kept in doesn't keep them warm. There is no fridge in the room.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Common areas had a great view. Pretty comfortable stay. Helpful shuttle service. Very nice staff.
Cons: Window on a patch of dry ground, rooms are a little tired, restaurant advertised but not open for dinner (but they could make you a sandwich, which is a nice backup plan).
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff! We were welcomed by the girl at a front desk, who answered all our questions, helped us to contact our travel vendor Always Glacier. The other front desk clerks were also very welcoming and helpful. We had left car lights on, and the night front desk clerk called us to warn and helped us while we were getting help from car rental company. Amazing. We loved our stay. It was clean, cosy, views, warm radiators, fine bathrooms. Breakfasts are great and we had dinner in hotel as well, very good
Cons: We were a bit bothered having room connected to other. It was a bit noisy.
Good 6,7
Pros: Large room and great views
Cons: You definitively need a car or will need taxis for dinner. We ordered a packed lunch and had to remind them to make it.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Spacious rooms, great view from the top of a hill! A little outside town but no problem with a car.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Room was big. View was nice
Cons: Its a bit out of town
Good 6,3
Pros: I mainly liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. Very good value for money
Cons: The distance to downtown is quite long if you have to walk, need to take a cab at least to come backInternet shouold be free of charge

Pros: Great place. Very clean and comfortable.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations for restaurants in town with vegan options, for a pharmacy where we could get a few items we needed, and for a grocery store. Two of the staff members (I think they may be the owners) offered to give us a ride to the city center with them in their car one day, since they were on their way there, anyway. It was a fifteen minute walk but a two minute drive, so that ride saved us some time and helped because my spouse's leg was a bit sore at the time. We had two stays at this hotel, with a five day gap between them, when we went hiking in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. The staff kindly stored several of our suitcases in their small office while we went backpacking. Given how small their office is, it was really sweet of the staff to let us store our suitcases in it for five days. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. There was a loss of water in the town. No-one had water for three days - Lupama drained the swimming pool so we could shower. How enterprising!
Cons: Could improve breakfast. Too much sweet stuff and we ended up buying our own bread for toast.
Good 7,0
Pros: Nice comfortable place but you need a car to reach there
Cons: Too far if you do not have a car
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Room is Very nice
Cons: Clean in bathroom
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great place to stop at when you're travelling by car.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The staff is so nice ! Thanks to Julieta, Julieta y Juliana that were so nice. Breakfast is great except for the coffee that is instant :( spacious bedroom, cleaning lady works great too. A must stay for the price. Enjoy a nice lunch also at the hosteria ! They cook very nice ! The pool is just for refresh after a busy day. The best excursions are MINI TREKING $150 dollars AND LUNCH AT THE CAVES 25 dollara. We took a bus to El Chalten, no car needed every tour pick us up, even the bus to chalten ! Restaurants: MAKO restaurant !!! Toppp the best bbq cordero ! Casimiro also good and La Tablita. El hornito for empanadas of guanaco.
Cons: Nothing to complaint
Good 6,0
Pros: Awesome view, cottage like feel and one very attentive staff member. It was nice and quiet.
Cons: A bit of a walk from town and lake or nature reserve 40 minutes and uphill walk not ideal after a night out for me but not bad for most (my husband was fine with it). The overall final payment was unclear. We got laundry done and were quoted different prices, we left and came back after two days and did not get the same view but when asked for bill upon checkout were told they have our information so total amount was not given to us.
Good 6,7
Pros: Very helpfull staff , evening snack after late tour arrival ,comfortable rooms and nice outlook.. $5 taxi from bus station. Topshelf service at near hostel prices.
Cons: 10-15min walk to main shops may be a probem for some.
Mediocre 2,7
Pros: We 2 .couples we stay One Night & pay for 6 & we go to chile this is not a hotel this is a hostel !
Cons: A. Its not a fue Minutes from the center , my be with a Helicopter ! B. The rooms are Dirty ! ! ! C. The brekfast are for birds ! D. For the same price we can get a betr hotel !
Mediocre 2,7
Pros: not much
Cons: false star rating, faulty toilets, untrained staff, bad breakfast, insufficient heating, rooms poorly appointed and designed.
Okay 5,3
Pros: Character, breakfast, clean, helpful staff
Cons: cable tv didn't work, far away from center up an unpaved hill
Okay 5,3
Pros: The staff were excellent and very courteous. The rooms were large and airy.
Cons: The location was not as specified by the website which disappointed us greatly. There are no eating facilities in this hotel despite them asking you not to bring food in, but where is the alternative?!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: staff are really nice and make you feel comfortable. staff speaks english and helped us even with untrivial things. great view.

Pros: The staff were helpful and some spoke good english. They also made enquirys for us in regards to tours and were able to get all our questions answered promptly. The breakfast although basic was all that you needed and the fresh baked bread was nice in the morning.
Cons: The beds although huge were not very comfortable, the rooms are also starting to show their age.

Good 7,5
Pros: This was our second visit and we like the view from the property and the tranquility of the area. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and eager to please. It’s kept very clean and tidy throughout.
Cons: We feel that main menu could be a little more adventurous, plus it would of been nice to have some mixed fruit available at breakfast.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Great views of Nimez Lagoon so we could watch flamingos, geese, ibises from the comfort of the lounge. There were charts of birds and plants posted on wall by viewing area. Free shuttle to downtown was useful for afternoon shopping trip followed by dinner. Great large shower, soft, fluffy towels.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff friendlinesd
Cons: Was a bit far from the centre.
Good 7,9
Pros: The views over the lake
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Thé customer service was excellent
Excellent 9,2
Pros: staff very friendly and helpful, warm and welcoming. Room perfect for longer stays. A little bit outside of town but reward is: spectacular view, quiet, free shuttle into town and for the way back just a 20min walk and perfect way to see the flamingos. Would stay here again! Thanks again to the lovely family they run this hotel.
Cons: nothing
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This is 1/2 star class hotel at best. Aside from the water shortage which I assume wasn't their fault, the facilities are run down. The breakfast is horrible, with stale bread, sour milk, and undrinkable coffee. The staff pretends to be friendly wearing a fake smile on their face but can be described as indolent at best! WiFi wasn't working properly and the towels wetter old, small and stained! Unbelievable. Stay away!
Okay 4,0
Pros: The staff was very very nice and tried their best at a time when there was a broken water mains and very little water in Calafate.
Cons: It is a very tired place and could do with a major renovation. While the rooms are completely acceptable, they have the feel and look of a 1960s hotel. Breakfast was nothing to write home about at all and the location, while overlooking the lake, is really very far away from town and at night with all the stray dogs around, probably not very walkable.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: The personal from the hotel was really friendly giving us good recommendations.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty bad, WE SPENT TWO DAYS WITHOUT WATER ... the Water Tanks were so small that the few reserves were cold and without pressure... the bathroom and rooms were really old and small...
Good 6,0
Pros: Good value for the money. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good bathroom (awesome water pressure). Helpful in providing information regarding the area prior to our arrival.
Cons: The trips we had asked to be booked prior to arrival were not, so we didn't get the time we wanted, but were able to join another excursion. Breakfast was underwhelming (bread, pastries, ham, cheese and canned fruit cocktail that seemed to have turned), sketchy wireless which is advertised as throughout the hosteria, but really only available in the common area and has inconsistent connectivity.
Good 6,3
Pros: Staff very attentive and very pleasent. value for money,
Cons: Signage to find hotel. Did not prewarn that they give 10% discount for cash. And wi fi did not work.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: the beautiful views over the lake, mountains, birdlife from the lake, peace quiet tranquility and really great staff
Cons: guest must be prepared to have dinner in the town which is a 5 min taxi ride away or 20 minute walk but no hotel in the town has views of the lake and mountains so it's a compromise worth making
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: The staff were rude and misinformed us regarding tours of the area. they charged excessively for items. I would not stay here again.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Really great hotel (position, service, food) for very attractive price. Must stay if being in El Calafate.
Good 6,7
Pros: The trainee working in the hosteria speaks english very well and as she lives in Buenos Aires she was very enthousiastic to tell us a lot about this city and offered help to sort things out if we needed. Rooms are fine and clean. Be aware that the hosteria is about a 30 mins walk from the center. The view however is lovely. Taxi to the center was 11-15 pesos (approx.3 euro).
Cons: $review.cons
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The people tending the hotel are very friendly, we felt welcome and looked after. Beware it can be quite cold in El Calafate, but they have placed auxillerary heater in the rooms compensating for this fact. All in all a great stay, we would recommend it to anyone!
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6,0
Pros: relaxed, hotel with very friendly staff
Cons: do not have them do your laundry it will cost you a fortune, also the bottle of water will be charged... :(

Pros: While the property was out of town it was quiet and easy to relax. The restaurant had a nice breakfast and the made lunches for us on our all day excursions. For dinner the best foo was in town.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Stray dogs were at the entrance all the time and would come in and annoy us in the lobby area. The staff just tolerated them half the time. The towels were puffy, but the doors and walls were thin and you could hear everything in the adjacent rooms and hallways.

Cons: no wifi in rooms, slightly out of the way from el calafate
Good 7,1
Pros: Location and view. Good breakfast
Cons: Carpets on a hotel are a tricky bussiness. If you are not gonna give them proper maintenance, avoid them all together.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The view of the neighboring bird sanctuary was unbelievable!!
Cons: The location is quite a walk from the main town center (about 30-40 mins walk).
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: The staff were friendly.
Cons: The hotel is rated 4 star but is more like a 3 star. The room was dated, there were holes in the walls where GPOs had been located, stains all over the carpet, we weren’t provided with keys as their electronic card access wasn’t working. The hotel is a fair walk from town. We were told the staff would be happy for us to take some breakfast to go as we were checking out early but then then the kitchen staff said we couldn’t. Breakfast was terrible.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great view from the hotel. Staff ere friendly and room was clean
Okay 5,8
Pros: The structure of the hotel is good, and the view is really beautiful, as the croissant in the breakfeast
Cons: but there are a few points to improve to make everything more coherent: the speed of the Wi-Fi network, the quality of the toilet paper, the orange juice in a hotel like this should be natural (squeezed from the fruit) and not artificial as it is today, not all rooms have a minibar, no room has a telephone, control of the heating (by the floor) is outside the room (hence the importance of the phone save some walk to solve the problems. Could invest in a pedestrian access to the center with the construction of a small bridge and maintenance on a nearby canal and a small trail (today you walk 500m more each time you need to do this path).
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Breakfast was good, but it does not change. The rooms are huge and the view is amazing. Ask for room with view at the lake.
Cons: The carpet in the room needs a renew, looks dirty and old.

Pros: The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable and we had a view of the mountains
Cons: You couldn't use wi-fi in the room but had to go in the central areas and the maid put all our belongings away in all the cupboards I prefer it if they just make the bed!
Good 7,3
Pros: The hotel represented excellent value for money. The rooms were large & comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Cons: TV could be upgraded.
Good 7,7
Pros: The room was very clean and confortable. Owners are very nice and very helpfull. Even after we left the hotel for the airport, we had trouble with a taxi giving us false money as change and the owner of the hotel helped us to resolve the situation. She did not have to do this....but she did and it was more then appreciated. We enjoyed our stay, we had fun and we would go back there for sure.
Cons: I think the breakfast was a little poor. Owner could charge few dollars more on the room fees and add fruit (ex. bananas) and cereal to breakfast. I would suggest owners to put some music in the common areas as I think it was a little too quiet. Otherwise, everything was good.
Good 7,7
Pros: It is a delightful small hotel. The staff are lovely and very willing to help, especially if asked! Breakfast is more than adequate. Other services: packed lunch, bottled water, beer are available if you ask. You can also have a free hair dryer upon request. Highly recommended.
