Excellent in every things
Location and food
No lift in annex too many steps
Surprisingly decent water pressure & the bed was not as hard as I have experienced elsewhere in Eastern Europe. The breakfast buffet while limited had lots of fresh fruit and occasionally even some whole wheat rolls. Front desk and buffet staff were pleasant enough (did not deal with them much). From the rooms facing the street (i.e. approximately half of them) one might be able to see the beach. The other half of the rooms face a hill with a forest, for those that fancy that kind of thing. Despite being a bit away from the Old Town, it is not difficult to get there; bus no 4 (Pile Gate - Hotel Palace) stops just up the street and tickets can be purchased in advance at the newsagent's conveniently located on the way to the bus stop. It's only a short ride to the Old Town entrance at the Pile Gate which is the last stop.
The shower drain in my room lacked the capacity to keep up with the water pressure. I feared an imminent flood. We were placed, with no explanation, in a separate building called the Annex with a much less fancy reception (not sure how the rooms would compare but I assume the ones in the main building were better). When I arrived, my room had an odd smell and my family members in a different room pointed this out. I found remnants of what I believe to be an illicit substance in the trash can and that seemed to explain the lingering odour. My room, facing the hill/forest, had a window which could not be locked in a slightly ajar position, leaving me to have to keep it closed during the night as well as whenever I left the room, as there was a ledge outside by which one could easily access any room on that floor through the window. The room was spartaneously furnished and the lamps on the bedside tables were not connected to their respective sockets (one presumes since there would then have been no available outlets near the bed for whatever one should wish to charge). Housekeeping staff bust into my room without knocking on three out of the four mornings I spent there, and even opened the bathroom door despite my shoes still standing right inside the door and the tv and all the lights being on. They were apologetic about it, but still. The tv remote did not work. The a/c would act up randomly, and insects would come crawling in through the small crack in the wall around the condensation outlet. There was no elevator in the Annex where we were staying, so make sure to be in good shape or pack light. Toilet paper was not restocked during our stay, so my family members had to borrow some from my room. Some of the towels had suspicious stains. There was no escape plan in my room. A small fridge and a kettle would have been a nice touch.
Location is good .. but if I will come again I would stay near to the old city .Uber will take you to the old town for about 8 to 10 Euro . But in rush hours it is a long trip that could be short . Staff .. great .. very friendly and very cooperative Room .. average .. the change towel every other day . You will have two towels if you are one or two in the room doesn't matter . They will give you a new one after two days They keep your room clean .. don't worry . Breakfast was ok .. they have a very nice outdoor seating that feels really good in the morning if you take your breakfast outdoor . I toke the day trip with elite to Bosnia and to Montenegro the other day . For 410 Kuna .. but you can have it for 100 Kuna less if you take it from the old town .note that it is not the same company . Finally airport transfer is reasonable price .. for 450 Kuna you get a round trip transfer . Uber will change you about 150 if you ask for a deal with the driver .you can have the driver contact and arrange for your pick up and the price .
Towels were dirty and very old .some of them has stains and some others are overused .. their color is grey yellow rather than white . location .. I could have saved about 100 euro just by chosing a closer location to the old city .. probably the hotel charge their would overweight the 100 euro .
It was good place, with perfect view, in other side of street is a beach, also you can walk. Near is a bus stop. Shops are near. Good breakfast.
I stay here for 3 nights, but shampoo and bath gel I got only onse. Also my room was in other building, so in rainy day it was dificult to get to eat breakfast dry.
