Car hire at Dole Tavaux Airport

The Bar à Caf' cafe happens to be right next to the car hire offices. Additionally, since the car hire agencies have their offices on-site, you will be able to use all the same facilities of the airport, such as comfortable seating, shops, toilets and baby care facilities. This makes it a convenient place for picking up and dropping off your hired car.

Obviously, you need a valid driving licence to drive a car legally and an international driving permit will be required if your licence is printed in a language not using the Roman alphabet (Arabic script, Chinese characters, Greek alphabet, Hangul or Cyrillic). You will have to be at least 21 years old to hire a car and to have held your driving licence for at least 12 months by the date of your rental. Be aware that a surcharge applies for drivers below the age of 25 and some types of vehicles will be restricted to drivers of a younger age. Make sure to have your debit or credit card on hand for a hold to be put on it.

When it is time to say goodbye, returning a car to the airport couldn’t be easier. You will either be required to return the car to one of the parking spots in the area from where you picked it up or the designated area for returns from your car hire agency. A staff member will collect the keys and the car will be looked over to assess that it is in the same condition as it was when it was collected, and that the fuel tank has been filled. When bringing back the car out of office hours, you will need to deposit the keys in the drop box after parking in the specified area.

Car hire companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Dole Tavaux airport to off-airport locations include Europcar, Hertz, and keddy by Europcar.
