First room on the ground floor had a strong mould smell Staff moved us to another ground floor room that the smell was not as strong but had a faulty air conditioning
Location is great, just next to the night market. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Having stayed here on numorous occasions, the place is consistently on point.
Prices can fluctuate based on season, festivals, and events happening in the city, but this is common. I tend to sleep in and miss breakfast, but there’s no one to blame but myself.
Breakfast was basic consisting of salad, one type of eggs, bacon/ham, sausage and pad thai/fried rice. Basic but sufficient. Good enough to me.
The cleanliness is seriously unacceptable. It was to the extent we had no choice but to put up with it. It made my family members extremely unhappy about it and was a huge minus point in our tour of Northern Thailand. Do something about it! There was insects in the room, the room felt dusty and stale and the toilet had algae. Is it us only or also the same for the other rooms?
Khun Min, the owner was a delight and a wonderful host. She runs the hotel with great talent and made our stay worthwhile. During my stay I had misplaced my phone in a Grab car and she helped us talk to Grab and tracked down the driver who promptly returned the phone the following day.
Perhaps the window shade can be a little more private.
