The Girona budget office insisted that we have no insurance even a basic one, at that time I could't reach my reservation details and checked, so they took nearlı 150euros for car insurance which is more than 2 days rental price. At that time we couldn't be sure about the conditions. So I had to pay twice the money, I won't reserve with kayak/budget again.

Pros:

Lady who sorted it out at the rental desk...not too sales pushy! But still offered everything she should have. Liked no cross border fees to France (That's why I booked with them).

Cons:

Had to walk 10/15 mins to the rental desk and lady didn't mention that out of hours u could just leave it next to their office on the road ( as the gates were locked)...which was written on the locked office door to be fair...

The worst car rental experience ever. Despite following the instructions (bringing a driving license and a Mastercard), we were not able to collect the car because the card didn’t work with their system. The staff were extremely rude and we were given no explanation and no car. Still trying to get a refund. Would avoid!
