Good experience in mexicoCourteous staff. Good car. Very pleased with the turn-in inspection of the car condition. Car was spotless at pick-up. (Alas, I could not turn it in as clean - washed the car the evening before turn-in, and the dusty Mexican dust took away the shine. I wanted to make it look. Better)Did not like the explanation of the cost. At sign-in, they left me totally confused about the pricing, with the insurance. Then entered about US$400 on my credit card, as “deposit”?. When I turned the car in, they said, pay the new “bill” and your $400 is cancelled. At least that is what I think they said - I will see when I get my credit card bill later this month. If, indeed that $400 is cancelled - then National was truly excellent - the price was very reasonable (ie, very competitive). If not, kind of a rip off.

Bad ExperienceNothingOn kayak the vehicle specified a vw golf or similar. A car which was able to fit two suitcases. National offered a Nissan March instead, a car which I was only able to fit one suitcase in it's tiny trunk. I had to cancel cause the car did not provide what kayak offered. Very disappointed

The employees are very nice, and helpful I have a broken SUV in the road. They very nice bring me another SUV. Take time but arrivedThe first SUV interior seat looks duty to many spots on the seat.. not clean very well. Plus broken on the road in Mexico? And the second SUV looks ok, but star driving and feel vibrations so alignment and later the light engine come on

Overall nice, clean van; excluding one malfunctioning IP light switch which made driving in the night or in the rain (lights on) difficult. Service was personable and friendly.My Am Ex covers car rental insurance. I checked. The person attending insisted I pay for 3rd person insurance. I declined. She would only rent me the car if she secured $18,000 on the Am EX. $18k is beyond my limit. She got an extra $130 out of me.

RidiculousThey wanted a $1500 USD Deposit to take the car. We walked out. False advertisement.They tried to take our vacation money... nothing compared to renting a car in the states. Never again.

Good experience but make sure you read the fine printCustomer service, drop off/pick up experience, clean placeInsurance coverage for cars is different than the US so read the details before you commit. Insurance coverage is mandatory and comes with a large US dollar deposit. The lower the coverage you select the higher the deposit will be.

Horrible - Europcar MéxicoHorrible experience they wouldn't take the insurance from rentacars.com so I had to purchase their insurance originally for $380 then miraculously after 1.5hra fighting them it went to $200 extra only. Also when dropping off the car they tried to charge me because there was no car manual which was never in the car to begin with and for a scratch on the rim, when I went to look at what they wanted to charge me for they were looking at a totally different car. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I will never use rentalcars.com nor Europcar again.

The car was nice and clean
