Our car was cancelled without any notification. We only found out there were no cars available after we called to confirm our reservation the morning of. We were left stranded without a car.6,0 Okay

When we went to pick up the car in Italy - first, they tried to charge us 20 euros more (which I had to insist to get corrected). Next, they tried to give us a level down of a car (a 2-door vs the 4-door we paid for) - and when we insisted that we needed the ordered/requested 4-door, one of the gentleman (the blond gentleman in San Remo) was so irritated, that he handed us the keys and just left. He didn't even say goodbye! It was quite rude and def not the Hertz standard. Luckily there was another gentleman (brunette gentleman) who was super helpful and apologetics and helped us with getting the rental finalized.2,0 Poor

Car was filthy, rattled, poor quality, no blue tooth. Initial quote was just under €60, credit card just been dinged for $331.00.... going to give it a day or so before disputing it with credit card company. Never renting from Hertz again, either way.MAGGIORE
