Someone had smoked in the car. The waiver I purchased was not from a third party, not what I wanted. I shortened the rental, but did not get a refund of the waiver for the days I did not use. The smoking smell of the vehicle was pretty bad.10,0 Wonderful

The car was nasty. It smelled like an ashtray even though there are "no smoking" signs in the car. There were two cigarette butts in the floorboard so I know they did not vacuum the vehicle and I had to stop and get glass cleaner so my wife could see out of her side of the windshield.10,0 Wonderful

Hertz customer service is horrible. I had a flat on the morning after I picked the car up. No biggie, I had it changed. I found a dent within anhour of picking up car so I called and left a message. No return phone call. I had a brake light go out on Wednesday - went to Hertz; no exchange; sent me to a Firestone to have it fixed. Within 24 hours, it was out again. I sent email complaint to Hertz on 6/26. Still haven't heard from them. I will NEVER rent from Hertz again!2,0 Poor

Pick-up was not knowledgable of my purchase and tried to sell me insurance I already had, saying the same insurance bought from them at a higher price was better. Plus, did not know I had put a credit card on the account, even when it was on the paperwork.
