The counter agent did not honor the price Kayak quoted and reservation price when I arrived at facility. Charged more than price I was quoted on online reservation. When I returned the car the agent checking in the vehicle asked what charge was on vehicle when I picked it up. He went out to check charge which was more than when I picked it up. He then tried to charge me more than the price I paid at pick up which was higher than online quoted, reserved price. When I objected to another upcharge, he questioned who was the agent when I picked up car. I described the counter agent to him and again expressed my dissatisfaction for not honoring the quoted price and now trying to upcharge me again! He backed away from the upcharge and made many keystrokes on computer and took way too long to give me my receipt and check in the vehicle. I was trying to get to the auto shop where my car was being repaired before closing. I will never rent a vehicle from here again.

They are severely understaffed for the amount of business they do. I waited 35 minutes to return the car on a Tuesday afternoon.

Pros:

Car was clean, reliable, and drove well.

Cons:

I couldnt get my car because my flight was delayed 5 hours. No one called to say the location was closing and then they had to cancel my reservation and make a new one at 5 times the cost to me.

Pros:

The pick up and drop off was easy, didn’t take too long. The shuttle service at LAX was prompt and attentive. As were the car attendants at drop off. Gas mileage was amazing.

Cons:

The car itself wasn’t great. It was also the only car left in the fleet and the representative told me the person after me wouldn’t get a car. That wasn’t good news at all. Several small dents, type wasn’t that exciting. I would definitely would have paid more for a better car make and model.

Could have had the van at the location it was supposed to be picked up.. and it could have been cleaner with gas.

Cons:

Requested car at Fresno airport. Kayak confirmed acceptable price. At time of pickup I was informed that my confirmation was for another location. The airport price was significantly higher. I had no choice but to accept the higher price. "Bait and Switch". Not happy.

Pros:

Car was ready upon arrival without any real wait time. The car was nice, new and clean. Returning was simple and easy.

Cons:

Fuel was at half tank so I had to stop before my trip to fill up then guess upon return how much fuel to put in to return at the same level.

All of the staff were Top Notch!!! Easy pickup and return, store manager gave me a ride to train station. Best car rental experience. Short Uber ride from airport, avoid the bogus taxes and fees!

When I arrived to pick up car they told me they don’t do one way pickups from this location. When I showed them my reservation, they said it doesn’t matter because they’re a franchise and not corporate. Don’t save yourself time and hassle and don’t rent at this location. After 2 hours on the phone with Avis corporate, they gave me a car that wasn’t cleaned at all. One of back mirrors was scratched to the point you couldn’t see anything out of it.

I had a rental pick up at 12 got there at 11:45 and didn’t have a car for me. Then told me I had it reserved for 11:00 so I didn’t get a car I want my $22.00 dollars for the reservation fee that you guys charged me

First two cars they gave me had issues… I had to drive back to the dealership because the first car was making a crazy noise. The second car had no hub caps and the tire pressure light was on. I was offered no apology for my inconvenience. The third car was satisfactory but late model when considering what rentals usually are.

The car had scratches all over it. When I arrived at the drop-off location they tried to blame one of the scratches on me (a scratch that I know was pointed out by the initial agent in Fresno where I picked up the car). I had to fill out an incident report even though the "incident" was the initial agent's failure to do her job properly. Still awaiting word from Budget as to what they decide. What I learned is that you need to video the whole encounter of the walk through to ensure you aren't fleeced for damages already done to a rental car. I will never rent with Budget again.
