They told us the tank was full, it was below half. When I tried to call the location, no answer. We had to return it with a full tank or risk paying ten dollars a gallon. Also the gas tank cover had been rigged closed, when we got gas it would not shut all the way. We again tried to call the location and no answer.

The staff seemed overwhelmed with the two staffers which took some time to be attended on site and when i called them up to extend my rental contract through the end of October as I was on hold for almost one hour and my call was also terminated so I called them right back until someone answered my call.Be honest with the actual time frames, leaving someone unattended and on hold for such a long time is simply not good at all.

Arrived 10 minutes early to get in quickly and out just as fast but Hertz didn't have an available pickup like I scheduled and it took 2 hours for them to ready one. The first hour they searched for a pickup the second hour they worked to get it released from someone else. There were 5 employees but only 2 helping customers then the other three (including a guy who wouldn't wear his mask) just hung around joking about everything they could and after an hour of waiting for a truck and another hour staring at the truck they gave it to me messy. This was dangerous, it put peoples and there love ones health at risk, and it was unprofessional. I HOPE TO BE REFUNDED IN FULL FOR THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE ON THE BEHALF OF HERTZEverything could have been done better. They only check their reservations at 7am and not again until the next day so they have no idea who has booked and for what kind of vehicle throughout each day. They should receive an automated message for new bookings or be required to check hourly. Then they could pre-emptively call and say we don't have what you booked or they could track the vehicle down elsewhere. The guys cleaning the vehicles could have taken the initiative to clean the vehicle properly. They tried to get away without taking pictures but I stopped them and said the inside of the truck is a mess, the employee said 'i tried the best I could' I thought you have got to be kidding me you were sitting in there making fun of an old guy with gloves on doing nothing the last hour. One of the staff refused to wear his facemask, and rto my luck i had to wait from 2pm (my pickup time) until 4pm 2 hours with the person jeopardizing mine plus 12 other peoples health. then to top it off they downgraded me to a smaller pickupMandatory masks and my rental being ready when i arrived

They ran out of cars at all locations in Phoenix. No assistance/alternatives were provided. Was told by the customer support line to go to the airport location. Waited in line 3 hours only to tell us they didn’t have a car either. An entire day was wasted trying to get a car with no success.Everything

15 people packed into a small room. No one had any idea if anyone else had already checked in. Turns out some had been waiting over 3 hours. It was complete chaos with literally no help or guidance available. After waiting 30 minutes without any of the 3 workers even acknowledging my presence (they were busy, dealing with a car shortage I gleaned from others around me who were also waiting) I left and ended up up coordinating to use my mom's car, which was a HUGE hassle, to say the least. This is probably the only negative review I've ever written, I'm not the type to do this. But the whole experience was irredeemably awful. I'll never use Hertz again.

When I called them to confirm my car rental reservation, they said that they have no car available for me. I told them that I had already paid for the car rental for 10 days at the time of online booking. However, it didn't change the outcome. Obviously, they gave away the car I paid for.
