The staff was really motivated to help me when i tried to find a gym, the rooms were perfectly cleaned and the breakfast had a good variety of fresh food, the area is also really beautiful and clean.
The balcony was a little bit too small to sit outside amd the food, especially the salads at the poolbar are really overpriced
Location was fantastic. Restaurant was always plentiful with the staff always eager to please. The bartender presented the bar every evening with superb displays of fresh fruit. It was spotlessly clean. The reception staff were very helpful and the rooms were well kept.
There was only one chair on the balcony.
We were very disappointed for this hotel. Unfrienfly, not serviceoriented staff. They didn,t speak english. Not good breakfast. Beds uncomfortable. Not four star hotel. Not parking space to Car. Nice lokation. Tennis court overbooked, during The hour, we asked to leave. Very noisy place.
We chose this hotel mostly for its location, and yes, the location really good. When we arrived we found our room pretty old, but in a good condition and very clean (I must admit that the cleaning stuff works especially good in this hotel!) The hotel has its own access to the beach (though the beach itself does not belong to the hotel, as I understand all the beaches in Caorle belong to the municipality). The private area is clean and has a lot of sunbeds (more than enough for the number of tourists stayed in San Giorgio). There are two swimming pools: for adults and for kids. Nothing special, but clean. The hotel has its own private parking (one can park inside or outside - and there was always space to park). I also saw a sign saying that it was possible to charge electric cars in the hotel (but I don't know the conditions). There is some animation for kids (though there were not so many of them during our stay) and a room with toys and video games (small but nice). Almost each evening this hotel offers some sort of entertainment (cocktails, live music, etc.). Also, you can take a bike for free (or electric bike for some fee). There are bikes with child seats as well as bikes for kids (6-12 years I guess). In general, it was an expected level of service, not less, not more.
This hotel has a very strange pricing policy for kids, basically when you book for a family with two kids (mine are 3 and 6 yo), you actually must pay as if you book for 4 adults (the only difference, you will not pay the city tax for your kids). And for me it's kinda strange: the difference between breakfast only and breakfast+dinner is pretty high, I can't imagine my kids to eat for 50 EUR daily (they actually both together eat less than one adult). So, I find it unfair to charge young kids as adults. So, I actually booked just for two adults (breakfast + dinner), but the hotel called me and asked to pay extra for the kids (funny that I paid 1200 EUR on booking.com and the hotel wanted me to pay extra 1300 EUR for the kids). That's why I cancelled my first booking and booked just breakfast (for dinner we just went to the restaurants in the city). And it then became a problem later. Why? Because if you book breakfast+dinner, you have your own fixed table. But if you have only breakfast, you don't have your table, and no one told us about it. One morning we took a random table (as usual), and then the "owners" of that table came. It was not a nice situation, when you eat and someone is staring at you viciously. The other problem is that English is actually not a preferred language in this hotel (especially for the reception) - they speak very little English and always tend to jump to German (luckily I do speak German a little bit). Also, it was the first hotel in my life which wanted a security deposit for the room keys (magnetic cards). It's especially funny when you pay 2200 EUR for 6 nights. Summarizing, this hotel definitely does not deserve 4 stars, but as a 3 stars hotel (and if it reconsiders its pricing policy) it would be a good choice.
Nice and peaceful place. Beatiful swimmingpool and place around it. We liked small football pitch and table tennis place, too. Very helpful staff.
