The room was spacious and well furnished. The bathroom was nicely designed.
The room smelled like mold. I think they had some water leaking from the room above and just painted over the mold. It still smelled pretty strongly. They gave me the room right next to the check-in desk so it wasn't very quiet. It certainly wan't sound-proofed as the amenities listing had said. Also, it's hard to find at night. Don't travel down the unlit alleyways or you're sure to get lost.
Beautiful, comfortable, quiet little hotel safely tucked away in a hutong. Rooms face inner courtyard of hotel. Very near (5 min walk) to subway station for easy access to subway and city. Near a major street with shops, markets and restaurants. I would go straight there again, next time in Beijing and I will direct my friends there, as well.
The assistance by Coco at the reception has been fundamental. She is really a nice person very comunicative, and she has a perfect English. Her help has been a key for the success of the trip in Beijing. I and Daniela wish to thank Coco and all the Courty Imperial staff for the nice stay.
I was surprised that the stated price including taxes was about 100 Yuan less than what they actually charged. I didn't notice until after I checked my past emails.
Location is very good, within the second ring of Beijing (which makes it more less downtown). Staff were very friendly and willing to help out. All in all a great deal!
