Great bed, linens and shower! Breakfast had nice variety (scrambled or hard boiled eggs & sausage, make-your-own waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels & small pastries) Staff was friendly and cheerful.
Vending machines ran out of water bottles day one and only one sugarfree soda offering (Coke - yuk). Flavored Seltzer would have been nice. King Room would have benefited from an additional chair/small sofa from which to relax or watch TV.
the bathroom was kind of deteriorated
This is a very solid hotel, especially if you get it at a good price. Our room was spotlessly clean. It was quiet. The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel of this price category: eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, yogurt. Wifi worked fine.
The location depends on your tolerance for urban grit. We didn't feel menaced, and there were no homeless people in front of the hotel itself. But there is a St. Vincent De Paul church at the beginning of the block that draws a lot of homeless people to its front yard, and they don't have a toilet, so ... several times some homeless people (who either were friendly or ignored us) warned us to walk up on the main street rather than the side street right past the church, for hygiene/aroma reasons. We walked past the churchyard during the day several times without a problem. And we parked (for free) on the streets behind the hotel, about three blocks away, and walked back and forth there without a problem. But it does feel sketchy, not immediately around the hotel, but nearby. If you plan to use Ubers or you are a city person it shouldn't be an issue.
Nice hotel, located in safe part of Baltimore. Parking on site. 5 min walk into the center and we felt as safe as you can in Baltimore.
Wi-fi was not working in rooms. It kept disconnecting due to poor signal. This probably differs from room to room. Worked fine in breakfast area.
