Pros: Location
Cons: Needs renovation
7,5 Good
Pros: Very close to the station. Clean towels, slippers, bath. Toiletries.
Cons: Carpet is old/torn. Smelly Aircon, worn out furniture. Maybe it’s just me but the pillows are weird (almost like sandbags. Is this normal for Japan?).
7,9 Good
Pros: Old hotel, old rooms, friendly staff, near the station. Unbeatable price.

Cons: The room smells like cigarettes and the carpet was dirty, and entire place was run down. I recommend spending a bit more for a better place
4,6 Okay

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was superb and the breakfast too!! Never expected to find such good chef and food in a resort in the midst of the mountains. Definitely worth the price paid for!!
Cons: Everything was great!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel. We went in winter, for the Hakkoda Powder, which is amazing, the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from the Ropeway, which is great. There is not a lot to do here, Ski/Board, onsen and sleep. Perfect for us. They have English, Mandarin, and Japanese speakers, and work extremely hard to keep you happy. Things they dont tell you on web sites :- The mountain Road closes at 9:00pm and opens at 7:00 am, the best way to the hotel from Airport is Taxi 8300 JPY (40 min in weather). Hakkoda-San is amazing.
7,5 Good
Pros: The service staff is awesome. The room is big and comfortable. The amenities in the room is good. The onsen experience at Sukayu was wonderful. The water is excellent, and the changing rooms are well thought-out for the women's section so it doesn't feel awkward as you get to the mixed bath. We went twice in a day, and were fortunate to have a traditional song performance right at the mixed bath. Wonderful experience.
Cons: The dinner was mediocre. Breakfast is close to awful - we had the american as well as the traditional selection. The meals is big part of Japanese hospitality and the expectation, and it was disappointing. We've stayed at different hotels and ryokans and have had better food and experience. The wing at A block where we stayed was far from reception. We went on to stay at other onsen places after this, and it was much more memorable than the stay here, in terms of food, scenery, and onsen experience. Not worth the price paid.
Kaisenkaku - Aomori - Building
2
8,5 Excellent (1 116 reviews)

Overview Reviews
Located in Aomori, Kaisenkaku is just steps from Asamushi Onsen and a 2-minute drive from Asamushi Aquarium. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was traditionally Japanese and beautiful. We had a spacious room with great amenities and a large window facing Mushu Bay. I have great photos but can not attach at the moment.
Cons: No complaints at all. The dinner you can get is good but kind of expensive for what it is.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Big room. Great breakfast.
Cons: Very expensive. Far away from city.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: - near the train station - the view is fantastic - the public bath is good and the view is also amazing - staffs are good
Cons: - a little bit pricy
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff hospitality and food was more than we expected. They do have some activities that we missed - trip to see fireflies. shamisen performance was also a good choice for guests. Traditional dinner was incomparable and breakfast was the best selection of Japanese unique menus and western ones.
Cons: Staff cannot communicate much in English and not many things to see around the hotel. The town was quiet and not like the other resort where you could enjoy the scenery or walking through the nature. the room was slightly shabby.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful onsen! Nice opportunities for walks (hikes) in the surrounding mountains/forests, close to the beach. Pleasant small town. Japanese style rooms are insanely large, for two people it actually was a bit excessive.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Onsen is nice. The facility is good though this is a very long-established hotel. Staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast is great with a good variety.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Room, breakfast, and great onsen with a sea view! If location is not a problem (e.g. driving), will recommend this hotel over the business hotels in Aomori city. Maybe not too relevant, but don't forget to visit the aquarium just a kilometer away. It is a small aquarium very reasonablely priced, and you can get so close to dolphins which is never possible in the large aquariums in other big cities in Japan.
Cons: Nothing much, maybe dinner was too expensive which was why I drove out to dine instead.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Good location, close to seaside and has a superb view from the public bath area.
Cons: The room is too small, facilities are too old.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Everything was Amazing! Only recommendation is to add a steam room or sauna :)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view and sunset was amazing. It is 15 mins from Big Buddha. The staff was very friendly and tried their best with English, which was great and made me feel cared for! The sashimi in Set A was wonderful. The buffet food was ok. There was a quick show that was really nice. There is a convenience store only a couple blocks from hotel. Very relaxing hotel with yukata. I only wished I stayed longer.
Cons: 30 mins from Aomori city but there was a train available. I expected our food to be brought to our room like a ryokan I've stayed with before so that was a little disappointing that it was not even an option, but the food we did have (Set A with the sashimi) was absolutely delicious.

Super Hotel Aomori - Aomori - Building
4
8,0 Excellent (338 reviews)
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is free and good enough. Simple but good quality.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Free face mask .Best washing machine and free detergent. And Lawson is on the first floor.
Cons: Location
5,8 Okay
Cons: The Super hotel main signs was not turned on the date when I checked in. Driving a car and trying to find the hotel is hard, end up missing and circling a few times before finding the place. breakfast and staffs are the worst among the 3 super hotels I stayed in this trip (Aomori, Hirosaki & Towanda).
6,7 Good
Pros: The very friendly staff and the cleanliness of the hotel.
Cons: The rooms though very clean were a bit too small. One has to take a big high step to go into the small toilet.
5,8 Okay
Cons: Difficult to locate the hotel. Hotel name is hiding behind lawson.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here for two nights while attending the Nebuta festival. Very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff upon arrival. Lawsons is just downstairs! Stayed in a double room and the space was more than enough for a solo traveler! Suitcase could be left open on the floor (I only had a small carry-on sized suitcase with me, but I believe one big suitcase would fit too). Bed was big and comfy. Room included a table + bench/seating which was perfect for having my laptop out and doing some work (I didn't know I was getting this!). Not to mention, the bench was very comfortable too! Lighting in the room was good (I've stayed at a few places around Japan with very limited and dim lighting!) and many charging ports around the room. Bathroom size was fair, slightly larger than average sized Japanese bathrooms; was modern and very clean. The area, as it's a little away from the main station, is quite quiet but you'll still see people of all ages throughout the day and night + cars. Seems to be a relatively safe district to stay in even for young solo female travelers walking back at night. (Getting back to the hotel at night will mean walking past many bars and guys standing outside, but believe they're harmless). I didn't explore the eateries around the hotel but I remember there were numerous ones I walked past. Hotel is very accessible - has a lift; and getting here from the Aomori station with suitcases would be of no problem; the road is flat all the way to the hotel and there's no need to climb any stairs or cross any bridges to get there!
Cons: Was a little bit of a walk from the Aomori Station so if you don't have a lot of time to spare or just hate walking, this might not be the best location for you. In my case, I didn't mind it :D Despite the many charging ports in the room, the voltage was very weak and didn't connect to my devices properly! Breakfast was only average but acceptable. Staff closely monitoring was a little bit uncomfortable. Nothing amazing and selection was not huge (but did change over the days, which is a plus!).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The free breakfast is excellent
Cons: nothing
