The staff was really nice and helpful.
My uncomfortable stay was entirely due to the context of my situation. I just needed a place to crash for a night so that I could pick up a friend from the airport early the next day. First I got placed in a mixed dorm where I was the only woman. I walked into a room full of shirtless men who all knew each other and didn't expect me. Since I was the only person in the room they didn't know, they all wanted to get to know me, when all I wanted to do was go to sleep. I asked for my room to be changed, which was possible. I was surprised to find nobody in my new room until a few hours later when I was woken up by another group of people who all knew each other and were surprised to find me sleeping in "their" room. I ended up pretending I was asleep, and they spent hours in disappointment, because they clearly planned to party all night in the room. I felt unwelcome and in the way. I never had a situation like this before in other hostels, and maybe it was just bad luck. Either way, I don't feel good about booking here again.
that breakfast was free
the downstairs toilets were so unclean
Value for what I paid
Happy hour at 5, 3 bed ensuite for $110 was a good deal. Short walk to main tourists attractions.
Staff was the worst I've encountered during my European trip.
