Pros:

Clean vehicle, fuel efficient, easy to book same day, short walk from terminal to pick up the car. Purchase the middle rate insurance for piece of mind and the price from 4 days was reasonable. Ended up having to add an additional day which was easily done by calling the rental counter at the airport.

Cons:

The only thing I can complain about is the entrance into the rental car return is VERY poorly marked. This isn't hertz's fault, but rather the airport's fault.

Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Wasn't happy about being charged a fee for an additional driver - have not been charged this with other car hire companies. Car was new and clean. Overall good service

I had booked an SUV, but on arrival was offered a Camry Hybrid instead. After explaining my husband would have difficulty getting in and out of a sedan, I was then offered a Mitsubishi SUV. Staff were professional. The car was clean, performed well with no issues. I was, however, a little peeved that I was charged over $23 international transaction fees by my credit card provider for the payment I made when booking the car online.

The vehicle was clean, a pleasure to drive, staff explained the Toyota hybrid drive well, including traps for young players. When I returned the vehicle, there was a long line which was not a good look for them. I think that they should consider prioritising the returns, as new rentals were taking ages, while returns were flying through once they got served.

Pros:

Lady at the desk was helpful , initially the rates were sky high whe we just walked up but after booking via Kayak we got the same car from the same lady at more than half the price !!

Cons:

Use Kayak to get good hire car rates and avoid just hiring in person at the airport car hire desk.

I had to cancell within 40 hours of the hire date due to unforeseen circumstances. Your 48 hour cancellation policy is out of step with industry standards and blatantly unfair. I will never use your company again.

Very disappointed that I had to make arrangements to return the hire car the day prior to expected (prior to 4.45pm) as there is no after-hours key return. My flight was 7.10am and I was advised I could not drop off until after 9am.

I booked online with price range and it was in American dollars, so I ended up paying a lot more then I wanted. I booked an Hyundai, which is what I drive at home. They didn't have one, so I was driving a car I was unfamiliar with. It had not navigation system. I was very stressed driving the car, and the girl at the check-in had no time to explain the car to me. Just handed me the key. I had to pay an extra $50 to be fully insured. Not impressed with Budget.

retty poor for an airport rental company. Should have read reviews first as I wouldn’t have booked with them if I had. Arrived at Adelaide airport and called for the shuttle bus and was told that the last one had left, they were about to close and I wouldn’t be able to collect the car until the next day!? WTF Nowhere during the booking process did I see that you need to be at the shuttle LATEST 5:30pm If that happens go to, I suggest going to the Budget rentals office at the airport. They had the best price and vehicles compared to Avis and Hertz (who wanted $500+$100 bond for 3 days small car rental) 😳

Very cheap car hire. Unfortunately pick up/drop off not located at the airport. Was a bit of a mission to organise shuttle pick up unable to get through on number provided on website. Man was quite rude when we returned the car, we advised that the tyre pressure was low as came up on the dash, he was quick to say we must have popped the tyre. Didn’t appreciate his manner, however no issues during handover.
