Pros: It was nice and close to the boat from North Sydney, location was easy to find and lots of parking. Breakfast was wonderful the host made what ever you would like, no way you could leave hungry, great coffee too.

Pros: Great host, and fantastic breakfast. The area is lovely for a walk. We got a free upgrade into a very large space. Very convenient to the ferry.

Pros: The guesthouse is very conveniently located near the North Sydney ferry terminal, but in a quiet area with a beautiful view of the bay. The house is full of character, very neat and comfortable. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable and everything was neat as a pin. The breakfast was exactly what we like, with healthy options including fruit salad, yoghurt and granola, blueberry pancakes and muffins. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Pros: Lovely, comfortable place to lay our heads. Our landlady was very helpful in advising us re dinner options as well as answering questions about the area. Breakfast was generous and delicious! Great stay.

Pros: Location was central but not on the ocean as pictured. On line picture was deceptive.

Cons: On line picture was misleading. This property is not on the ocean but sets back with a road and trees blocking the view and before the ocean.

Pros: Hostess Jane was welcoming and helpful. Our room was special, at the top of house with an encompassing water view. The house was fascinating with its collectables and antiques.

Cons: As much as we loved the room and view, space was limited for a long stay. It was also a climb to the 3rd story on a spiral staircase so we could not take as much luggage as required.

Cons: The lack of canteen stuff and the vending machines didn't work . And also the pool time wasn't taking seriously, my family of 4 booked for 3 pm for pool time but 6 more people came in without permission.

Pros: I always enjoy my stays here. The staff are amazing and always very helpful. Rooms are clean and bed very comfortable. If ever in Sydney area I recommend this place

Pros: We had a very comfortable room in a nice suburban house. The bathroom was fine. Monica, our host, was friendly and chatted with us whilst we ate breakfast. Though a bit out of town it was just an easy 15 minute drive into Sydney. All in all a pleasant stay.

Cons: For breakfast, it would have been nice to have jams, butter, etc, that were a little bit better than small plastic Kraft packages. Perhaps some locally made jam? Higher quality bakery bread would have been nice, as well.

Pros: Comments related to the visual representation of the property cmes from the fact that the site showed a dark green house and it has been redone in a gray ro white. Our GPS found it for us but it was a surprise when we finally realised it was the place.

Cons: Breakfast was not spectacular which is often the case with B&B's. The host was not really the most friendly lady in the world ... pleasant but not warm.

Pros: Heather has a natural talent for making guests feel special. Breakfasts were delicious and varied. We always appreciate cleanliness and this B&B was exceptional.

Pros: Our stay coincided with Hurricane Dorian so we lost power soon after we arrived therefore we didn’t get the full benefit of the accommodation. Proprietor was prepared with flashlights for her residents and was able to serve a cold breakfast the following morning as the power never did come back on.

Pros: The breakfast was great. Room was very comfortable and large. Little sitting area in room was nice touch. Clean. Convenient for the ferry but not too close. Dining available in walking distance.

Cons: Common area was not inviting and we missed that as we were travelling with friends. No hair dryer. No soap and only 1 shampoo. I am sure I could have asked for these missing items, but we checked in late and I had my own supplies.

Pros: The breakfasts were great! The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We appreciated having our own washroom facilities.

Cons: Room was a little bit cluttered for the 4 of us as there were three additional chairs in the room which left little room for suitcases. Breakfast portions were tasty but large, I would recommend that the owner asks what people would like so food doesn't get wasted.

Pros: Travelled from AB during covid to move back to NL. This hotel was extremely accommodating and very clean! Staff were great. Couldn’t eat at the restaurant so they delivered us take out breakfast in the morning to take with us.

Cons: The only thing I will note is that the heat in our room was off and we didn’t notice until we woke up freezing. But a simple fix.

Pros: The room was beautiful and bigger than expected! It was also spotless, which really impressed me. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, even with special requests. The view of the ocean was spectacular and unexpected. There was a lazy boy chair directly in front of the window so I could enjoy the view too, great touch! Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling (within the Atlantic Bubble for now, please) to Cape Breton. 12 out of 10!

Pros: One of our favourite hotels on our trip through eastern Canada, so we were very happy to return after visiting Newfoundland. The rooms are large and super comfortable. There is plenty of parking, lift access to the second floor, and the meals we had at the in-house restaurant were very nice. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and the hotel overlooks the Atlantic Ferries terminal.

Pros: We had a beautiful, big room with two double beds and a window overlooking the ferry terminal. The room and bathroom were spotless. The coffee machine was appreciated as was the hotel's dining room where we had dinner, and breakfast before catching the ferry to Newfoundland next morning. The hotel has a lift to the upper floor. There is adequate parking and good wifi.

Pros: Location was great. On the water. Beds were comfy although the pull out could use a new mattress. Bathroom was quite large. You can close the door from the bedroom to the living area which is great for privacy and watching tv without disturbing the others.

Cons: We were put on a floor with hockey teams. The kids were running up and down the hall. Everytime my daughter or nephew went out they could hardly make it down the hall. Most of the kids probably about 14 at a time didn't have masks on either.

Cons: the fact it was no microvave in the room people partying out in the hallway hours of the night, pizza and empty can in the hallway in the morning pool was discusting, kid got sick in the pool we left before our time. draines were all full of hair.

Cons: Very out dated, smelled like cigarettes, paper thin walls, they advertise cable and have 3 channels. The bath tub was dirty, the pillows were not even pillows they were so thin, uncomfortable bed and someone kept slamming their door every 30 minutes all night long. The carpeting on the way up to our room was full of dark stains. Perosnally i dont think it was worth the $135 that was pid for the broom closet we were shoved in to.

Cons: The original room we were out in had blinds missing rows, hardened blood on the mall and was missing multiple pieces of hardwood from the floor. After complaining we were reluctantly moved inside to room with overloaded electrical outlets, one towel and no hot water. The Wi-Fi was non existent despite there being a access point on the wall leading me to believe that the bill had not been paid.
