No hot water and the staff seemed not to give a damn
If you don't want to see the beach (despite marketing that shows otherwise) and want to pay Ritz rates for Super 8 rooms, this is your place.
Room was ...what can I say? It was lime a cheap motel room. Not a resort. It was overloiking the parking lor and smelled bad. Wife was reallt disappointed, and had we not already paid, we would have walked out and gone somewhere else. I never leave reviews, but think that futire victims should be warned.
The rooms were modern, clean and cool. Views of the ocean, and kids loved the pool and ocean. So convenient to St Armand's Circle - we walked there and also used the hotel van which was great. We all enjoyed our stay and there was 10 of us!
Great location , mediocre hotel
I liked the proximity to the beach .
Our room was filthy. It looked like the only thing that was changed between guests was the bedding... And I'm not even sure about that .
really great place
a little to expensive
Front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly. M
To my surprise we were upgraded to the newly renovated rooms in the south tower. We were given a two bedroom suite with kitchenet and double balcony with amazing views. Even though it rained and was overcasted most of the time we still had a fantastic stay, for the simple reason that the accommodations were so great.
will never go back
the beach and the shoppes
room was old and out dated tiles broken carpet ripped room was just run down.
The location and beach are great. The poolside tiki hut is a place I could stay all day, and the pina coladas were great.
The rooms are old. Mold in the shower and baseboards are falling apart. Our group had 4 rooms at the resort and all of them were the same (and yes, all had mold on the shower curtain). When paying $200+ per night, you should get a lot more.
Great location, that's about all they have though
Paid rate of nearly $350 for a Friday night, tried to check in at 6 room wasn't ready, had to go back and check in again at 7:30. Horrible room next to parking lot and noisy early morning housekeeping carts. Next morning housekeeping was knocking at 10 a.m. to vacate and clean the room. Buyer beware as they say. Won't be back.
Convenient location. Great view. They have one of the most friendly, outgoing, accommodating and polite staff I have ever come across. Very nice pool & hot tub facilities - separate areas for family and adults - a nice feature. Quality lounge chairs & towels at both the beach and pool. Only ate one breakfast at the resort but the food and service were both excellent. I would certainly return.
Set your GPS the first time coming here - when approaching from the north there is a palm tree partially blocking their sign so you could easily drive past the entrance before you realize where you are. After that, it's no problem. Also, use Washington St, etc. to bypass St. Armands Circle as you will avoid slow traffic around the circle. This will bring you right to their entrance.
Very large room with kitchenette was perfect beach holiday set up. Had breakfast in my room each day helped to save on costs and made sure I was on the beach by 9am each day enjoying the sunshine and the sounds of the crashing waves. Beautiful walks along the beach lead to a nature reserve area and bird life was terrific. Also a fabulous shopping and restaurant area is a short walk away making sure you can enjoy a drink or two without having to worry about driving.
Hotel seems very popular for weddings and ceremonies on the fantastic beach fronting the hotel. On checking in we were fortunate they had an option available to upgrade to an ocean view room with balcony and kitchen and this room was well worth the reasonable cost of upgrade and made the stay more memorable. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm.
The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. Not sure if this closing time is all year round but believe it is a Sarasota State requirement?
The room was old but clean, the bed was very comfortable,
The fan in are bathroom did not work, and i thought the chair in the room was very used and not clean.
The location: right at the beach, and closeby to the St Armands Circle shopping and dining area. The willingness and friendlyness of the staff to help out, offer additional services.
The hotel being on the beach, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, pleasant personel.
