Pros: What a fantastic place to be! A gorgeous green environment, beautiful rooms with love for detail, high comfort and the excellent service made it a memorable stay - we will definitely be back! Thank you for these precious moments!

Pros: The hotel was very cute, not exactly a business hotel, but a great spot for a getaway. The service was excellent and restaurant was also very good.

Cons: I had a single room, it was on the third floor and with the roof slanting in, it was quite small. It was very cute, but I also bumped my head a couple times getting up from the desk.

Pros: Attractive old building with modern facilities, elegantly furnished. Nice location in the green. That means that you need a car to go to the center of Munster. Very good food on the terrace (the only vegetarian dish and a salad). Dedicated service. Rooms with a bottle of water, (take-away) slippers and a dressing gown. Breakfast is really superb!

Cons: The rooms under the roof can be very warm in the summer. There was a fan in one room, but not in the other. The bathrooms are very neat but some modernization would be in place. The kitchen could also be a bit more modern with more than just one hot vegetarian dish.

Pros: This is a lovely hotel with very comfortable accommodation and excellent food. The staff were charming and very helpful. It was a perfect location for us because we were attending a family wedding nearby. It is not far from Munster either.

Cons: We have no complaints but perhaps two suggestions. Be a little faster serving early evening drinks - the hotel was very busy and people will be patient if they have a drink in front of them

Pros: Spacious room. Nice view from the balcony. Breakfast buffet was nice with lots of choices. The restaurant at the hotel was expensive but very high quality (otherwise there are not so many choices of restaurant around).

Pros: Perfect price performance! Very good food and a very nice atmosphere, not like most of the big hotel chains, which are in moste cases very boring.

Pros: The surroundings were pleasant, the room was lovely, spacious and light. the breakfast was great; we also had dinner there and it was delicious and well presented, the ingredients were fresh ... and the staff very welcoming, eager to please while discreetly present.

Cons: Would have been nice to have been able to relax and have drinks next to the river but the bar was closed there, despite the good weather.

Pros: The staff was nice, it IS a clean and tidy hotel. My girlfriend loved the smell of the soaps there, i almost expected her to pinch a bottle, but she did not.. Breakfast was nice.

Cons: The room was very clean, however it was a bit small, i thought for this price i would have a larger room, with a bath. The bathroom with shower was nice, don't get me wrong, but the mrs. likes a bath. The bedroom floor was slippery, i almost went down at night when i got out, bare feet, no socks. That was unexpected.. Maybe i have a weird feet i don't know, thatwas the only time it happened. The parking across the street did not accept my maestro bak card or credit card and i did not have cash with me so that was a it of a hassle late in the evening.

Cons: No restaurant service on our second night; assume due to an event. Public parking across road - 15 euros for 24 hours; did not accept UK credit card.

Pros: Great room, very comfortable bed. Location is great. Pets are welcomed and drinks bowl and comfortable bed was provided for our dog.

Cons: Service is competent and helpful but there is limited warmth or smiles. Breakfast was simple, including overcooked scambled eggs and automatic machine coffee. Dinner menu was too simple and uninteresting, so we went out. Hotel website claims parking is available. It is ... at public car parks in the vicinity.

Pros: Good quality hotel that is clean with easy access (by car) to the center. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pillows are very soft and could provide a better variety so guests can choose. The lady at reception very friendly and inviting .

Cons: The restaurant was for me a bit of a disaster. Not in terms of food quality I would assume as it seemed like the the hotel has a good kitchen but I did not personally try it. The policy of the hotel does not allow laptops or other electronic goods, Ipads, tablets, etc. at the table so a business traveler, i was off to a bad start already. I was then led to a back part of the restaurant where I was the only person. I did not wish to eat by myself so I left and went into town. I was also left a little bemused that I was not allowed my laptop when I was the only person there but policy is policy I guess. Overall, the ambiance is very stiff, the head waiter needs to get a reality check in modern dining and needs to relax a bit (sorry waiter), a smile and a warm welcome isn´t an optional extra these days, try any other good quality restaurant in the area such as Landhaus Eggert, Hof Zur Linde, etc. The dining room has zero (I mean zero) ambiance. Lights are too bright, tables and chairs in regimental rows, waiters with starched uniforms, etc. etc. I hope that the management will value this open and honest feedback so that changes can be considered. As mentioned, I´m sure that the food is lovely but guests look more and more for the dining experience than purely the food alone. Apart from the restaurant experience, I can recommend Schloss Wilkinghege.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, wonderful park, good breakfast. Perfect place when you need a nice place close to the highway..

Pros: Everything was really nice. Comfortable, clean rooms, friendly and competent staff. Great breakfast. Dinner in the hotel restaurant is also highly recommendable.

Pros: Interesting moated hotel in extensive grounds, adjacent to a golf course. Able to feed the large fish and ducks in the moat. Hotel offered light meals in addition to 3 course dinner, which was good as the light meal portions were sufficiently large for us. Large comfortable bedroom/lounge/bathroom. The usual hotel type buffet breakfast with plenty to eat. All staff spoke excellent English which was unexpected for this area of Germany. approx. 2 miles from Munster city centre. There is a park and ride service nearby, however we drove to outskirts of city centre and parked in a car park on Schlossplatz. 7 Euros for all day parking was good value. Munster is a beautiful city. A city walk leaflet can be obtained from the tourist information office or downloaded. Recommend this walk which is very informative. Food prices in the city are similar to UK (not London). There is an excellent food, drink and flowers market in the market place on Tuesday.

Cons: the hotel postcode when entered into our sat nav directed us down a back road where there was no entrance to the hotel, therefore directions need to be obtained from the hotel in advance if travelling by car.

Pros: Out of the beauty of the area (a bit too close to the main road when you eat outside and listen the traffic) the most surprising was the quality of the restaurant, the dinner will stay in my memory for a long time The meal preparation was worth the best restaurant in Paris, this was a real non-expecting thing which I enjoyed very much

Pros: I had a huge delay so I arrived very late and the reception was closed already. But, I called the hotel beforehand to explain and they left my key at the front-desk in order for me to be able to get in my room as soon as I arrived. This was very nice. Futhermore the hotel is very idyllic and the breakfast was just the best (fresh salmon, nice bread, scrambled eggs etc)

Cons: Nothing really. I do have to say that I was in town for business and all hotels in the center were fully booked so I stayed here instead. I would definately come back for private matters because the hotel is so beautiful, but for business it was not the best option as it's a little far away from town.

Pros: I was arriving very late but this was good pre-paired, with a nice letter and description to the room. Great room, space and parking, complete breakfast, friendly staff and very polite. Nice and quite area. The breakfast was perfect and well organized for a fresh start of the day. A nice restaurant as well.

Cons: Just an advise: You need a (car) navigation to find the address in the dark. You are staying in an area north of the city, about 10 km from the center of Münster. What ever happens just follow the road, even when it gets narrow and you will find the hotel.

Cons: A later check in time than 10pm would have been helpful. We knew it would be a push (and arrived with just 10 minutes to spare), but chose this hotel anyway because of the good location for our pets.

Pros: We had a trouble in check-in, but a staff took care of it very kindly. And we were satisfied with this service quality at last. We could really enjoy good service and great location.

Pros: Check in was easy and staff very friendly. Really accommodating of our little dog we had with us. Ideal location for walking around, right in the centre. Loads of shops, cafes etc nearby. Lovely views from the breakfast room.

Pros: From the moment I arrived I was made most welcome, my room was very big with an excellent bathroom and shower. The room had plenty hanging space and surfaces to put things on. The cleanliness of the room was superb. I ate in the hotels restaurant and the food was superb, a lovely dining room with plenty character. An absolute gem of a place.

Pros: The restaurant decoration is simply marvellous - the food quality and service are equally perfect. There is a home atmosphere there, spacious parking, quiet area, pets are welcome, great forest walking area - and all that not that far from a highway (some 10 min or so)

Pros: What a little gem! The main restaurant was built in 1721, and a lot of original features were there to be enjoyed. So much character and atmosphere, very cosy and welcoming. The hosts were lovely, the man being a Masterchef of 40 years, so the food was exceptional, bothfor evening dining and breakfast. So pleased we drove an extra few miles to stay here, a llovely end to our holiday. Bedroom very clean, again with attention to detail. Spoil yourself, you wont be disappointed!

Pros: Family run business and the family take huge pride in their food offering, wine and overall hospitality. Very nice dinner and breakfast. Excellent value for money, off road parking and an easy couple of hours run to Amsterdam ferry terminal.

Cons: Oh where to begin... Room definitely need of a refurbishment: - Scuffed walls - No luggage rack - Curtains only cover half windows whilst the net curtains were more grey than white - Holes in bedding in obvious places i.e. near the pillow So all in all a huge disappointment. Don’t expect luxury but the room felt neglected and worn. Would have informed staff face to face if had been asked how my stay was (as is the norm)...

Pros: Very pleasant hotel within easy walking distance of the Old Town centre but located in a quiet, almost village like cul-de-sac adjacent to a good restaurant and a nice wine bar / pub on the other corner. Pleasant helpful staff, secure bike storage, and a decent breakfast.

Cons: For a compact, city centre hotel there was nothing really to dislike.

Pros: Authentic hotel with classic atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Private parking in central Munster for 13€ per night. Great german breakfast. Located in city center and close walking distance to historical part. Very quiet even when the "Stadtfest Munster" was celebrated with a lot of music!

Pros: Perfect breakfast, water heater and coffee in the room, my single room was relatively large, and inluded a small sofa.

Cons: One pillow was way too big while the other was tiny. The bed as well the blanket were short, but from my experience this is common in Germany.

Pros: Good, professional Book-in desk. Our room was large, very clean and smart. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. We dined in a little Italian Restaurant opposite the hotel. All in all, a pleasant place to stay.

Cons: 10 Euros to park at the rear of the hotel. The dining room (breakfast) staff were a bit miserable. Other than that, no complaints with this accommodation, which was generally very pleasant.

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was not the best this time of year, but the coziness of the hotel and restaurant were welcome surprises for us. Would highly recommend the restaurant and found the staff to be very helpful. Would definitely come back. One does need a car to get to and from this location and city center.

Cons: Both me and my friend contacted the hotel prior to the visit and said he would need a ground floor room due to mobility issues. They have no ground floor rooms and the first floor is 24 steps up. The hotel really should have let us know in advance so we come have made different arrangements. Check in was not smooth and at check out the internet was down so it was a very slow process.

At €100 the room was too expensive for the scant facilities. Other hotels in Münster offer better value for the money.
