Pros:
We made a last minute reservation for an automatic transmission car and they were great, specifically Aurielle who helped us was amazing. Despite not reserving it as such, we were able to pickup the car in the city and drop off at the airport for no additional fee, and got to add a GPS (which was a lifesaver). It made our last day a great one!10,0 Wonderful

Cons:
- Although I had prepayed the rental cost, I was told I needed to pay a "drop-off" charge which is "never" prepayed. That charge would have doubled the total cost of the trip. I did not accept it, and finally managed to go with the prepayment bill, but the rental car agent became very moody after this. - The rental cars in France are supposed to have some accessories such as a warning triangle, extra light bulbs and a blue parking card. I only found the first item in the car. - The water tank for windshield wiping was empty. Which I only discovered when the birds made a mess on the windshield. The day after, I had to use soap and hot water to clean the window. Without this, the visibility was very poor at sunset time.5,6 Fair

When we arrived, the car was not ready, so the person attending had to clean it up and prepare it. The worst part however was the return. The same guy was on the phone when I arrived and completely ignored me and another person for 10 minutes. When I gestured if it easy Ok to leave the keys, he pretty much insulted me. I travel around the world every month and always rent from different companies, but my last three Hertz experiences this year have been utter nonsense. I won't be renting from Hertz ever again.2,0 Poor

Pros:
The staff was nice at the rental counter but could have been more helpful especially for car pick up.Cons:
They did not have the car that we rented and confirmed - Mercedes class C. They gave us a Renault Megane. The line was very long waiting for. > 40 min to pick up the car. The rental counter was convenient in the train terminal but it was difficult to find where the car was parked in 2 sep buildings6,8 Okay

they tried to charge me a different rate from the contract. Took 20 minutes to get resolved.Then they charge a lot to add second drivers. Got a flat tire, no spare, no compressor. They sent a tow truck (2.5 hours later). We had to go by taxi to local Avis office the following day to pick up replacement.2,0 Poor

Won't book with Avis again as their excess of 11,000 euro is criminal and pushes you into a corner forcing you to sign up to their insurance while our travel insurance should have covered it all the other car companies have a excess of about 2,000 euros smells a bit like a scam on Avis part to me.LOCA MALIN
