Pros: Comfortable quiet room with a fantastic breakfast, Friendly helpful staff - even if their English was limited. Good airport shuttle included

Cons: Although my stay was guaranteed by a credit card (Twice), I was requested to pay for my first three nights via a note posted under my door at 07.30 am! on my fourth morning! - Never had this happen in over 23 years of business travel! The hotel do not inform you about this either at the time of booking or a check in!! THEY SHOULD it really took the shine of my stay and I will consider other options - of which there are plenty for any future trips. While the staff were very friendly, for an American chain hotel, the number of staff who were fluent in English was very limited. The hotel is located close to the airport and while its a safe area, there is not much to do in the evenings. This was good for my business trip, but not so good if your a tourist.

Pros: Great location, not far from the airport with many restaurants around. Very friendly staff (allowed us very late check-out without any surcharges). Very good breakfast and great spa. Even when you are here just for one night you will reach the downtown easy by uber or local taxi. Free airport shuttle (every 1 hour during the day and from the late afternoon every 30 minutes (hotel shuttle stops at exit 5 at the departure level in El Dorado Airport)

Cons: The lack of registration systems and a room key were disappointing at arrival. Apparently the system continued to fail 3 days later so I couldn't receive the invoice (which I'm still waiting for).

Pros: Very warm welcome and very helpful staff. Big room and big TV screen! I had a early flight so hotel packed a small breakfast for me to take away, was very nice. Hotel is 10mns from airport by taxi. Many small restaurants around and a big shopping centre, I felt safe walking around.

Pros: We paid for a pick up from the airport which made things so much easier. Check in very quick and Jon (we think?) on reception was super friendly. Our room was great and we slept very well. The hotel is close to the airport so you'll need earplugs if you're a light sleeper. All in all, we were very happy.

Pros: This was our second stay at this hotel. We liked the comfort of the room and the facilities. It is in a quiet neighbourhood and not too far from the airport which is advantage considering how bad the traffic can be in Bogota. They have a gym and a spa in the basement. The pool and the jacuzzi are good for relaxation. The breakfast buffet is also good and the staff is always attentive and professional.

Cons: Although it's located in a quiet area, around the hotel there are not many shops or restaurants that can offer the tourist something to do. This would be the only downer in an otherwise superb stay.

Pros: Second stay. Can't really say anything bad. Up to the US standards with friendly staff, great breakfast, good beds, very clean.

Cons: Only slight negative, they said they would email my receipt (travel partner got a printout). However emailed receipt was XML, unusable. Called to get copy and they said they didn't have one since was booked thru Expedia.

Pros: The staff was utmost friendly. The owner of the hotel came to pick me up at the airport and told me in reasonable English all about the hotel and colombia. His wife seemed friendly as well, although she did not speak English. The room is a bit small, but very comfortable and most importantly, everything was cleaned perfectly. Breakfast was good as well (with delicious fresh fruits). Overall, it is a good stay close to the airport

Pros: We chose this hotel because of its location to both the Botanical Garden and the Simon Bolívar city park (easy walk). Also, we needed a break from the congested city center hotels we stayed at previously. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood within a short distance of the airport and the main bus terminal. The facilities were kept in excellent condition! Front of house staff and housekeeping were fantastic. Everything from the hallways to the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. Our room (most) faced a central glass covered atrium. Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order every morning. We stayed for two nights, but we think that many guests are travelers and are here for one night before taking onward transit. Highly recommended if you need a place outside of the city center and/or close to onward transport!

Overall, the normal food was great. Service was outstanding and as someone who knows only functional Spanish, they were extremely accommodating and always found someone who could understand me if there was any confusion. I book the transportation and it didn’t arrive to pick me up at the airport so I had to took a taxi that robed me by the way, to resume, this was a very bad experience!

Pros: The hotel was clean, not too far from the airport and provided free shuttle from the hotel to airport. Bed was comfortable and room was a good size. If they could work out the noise issue it would be a great location, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a good sleep.

Cons: The hotel is across from a dance club/bar and next to a strip club. The music coming from those places is loud, and although it's not the hotel's fault, the music kept going until 3:00am and we couldn't sleep (I'm not a fussy traveller). Location is awful. The breakfast is nothing special and we requested ham for our eggs (only because we heard the person serving us asking other tables if we wanted ham, but didn't ask if we wanted ham). She brought out a ham already in decomposition abs smelling awful. We didn't even touch it.

The light in our room was really gloomy. The room floor is covered with carpet, which is bad for allergies. They did't want to allow our driver to come to our room for half an hour in the morning while we needed to meet with him to discuss the travel plan.

Cons: The lady at the reception who received us was unprofessional and rude. We always give copies of our passports instead of the originals, but she asked for the originals. When I gave them, I asked if she was going to make a copy. She said no but then she was trying to scan them. I told her that that was unsafe as well and asked them back (because of the risk of ID-theft). She did comply but almost rolled her eyes at me! Then, she checked if we really wanted a double bed (like we had booked). We said yes. The bellboy was friendly at first, but he brought us to a room with 2 single beds. My wife and I are married for 2 years, so we obviously want to sleep in one bed. So we went back down to reception again and said that we might have gotten the wrong room by accident. She didn't apologize, but stared at us blankly and then said 'but the price is the same'. I answered that we prefer a double bed and then she gave a different key to the bellboy. Who then wasn't friendly anymore but gave us a weird look and muttered to himself in Spanish 'only one bed?!'. I understand that gay marriage is less wellknown in Colombia, but we've been travelling to more remote areas in the last 2 months and never encountered any problems. I'm not sure if they didn't understand we're together or if they did understand and are homophobic in this hotel. It was a very unpleasent experience for us. Then the next day, when we booked the free shuttle service, they wanted to charge us (while it was during the day when it was supposed to be free). I was quite fed up at that moment so I explained clearly that we booked this hotel because of the location and the shuttle service. In the end the manager agreed not to charge us.

Pros: I needed a cheap night after arriving and being close to the airport to meet my friends the next day. So it was closer than the Centro, but not as much as the map suggested.

Cons: For some reason, they have maids cleaning empty rooms & hallways ALL NIGHT LONG. They use massive, noisy machines . . . & every few minutes, either a security or maintenance guy has a loud conversation with her. Paper-thin walls, echoey set-up . . . I hardly slept. It's stupid because it's avoidable, unlike street traffic or a bar nearby. Dumb management. NEVER STAY HERE if you need to sleep.
