It wasn’t our fault at all. I believe somebody tried to break into the car during our stay and they scratched a little the top and the door. We didn’t notice until we returned the car. But Europcar charged us 430 euro for this.Goldcar Rental SP

The car was clean and once we had sorted out the upgrade pick up was straight forward.Cons:
We were told that the car we had booked wasn't suitable for driving in Madeira. We paid to upgrade but felt we had been duped. We also were told that it was better to pay for fuel upfront rather than return the car with a full tank as it was difficult to find fuel nearby. There is a petrol station just by the airport.
