Sixt has overcharged me for a day and I cannot get ahold of customer service to dispute this. Their customer service line is not accepting calls at the moment so my attempt to communicate has been relegated to email, and they have not yet responded almost a week later.

The staff was kind for the most partI waited 5 hours on the side of a freeway because I got a flat. I wasn’t helped until 2am. The tow driver told me it’s because they try to get the cheapest company. When I called after waiting 3 hours the guy on the phone yelled at me for calling. I was kind and had not asked for an eta before that. Also, when I initially got the flat the car said low tire pressure and they told me I needed to drive it an hour and a half to another SIXT location. It shredded the tires and was not at all safe. Avoid my mistake! They also charge $10 per gallon if you don’t leave the tank filled. After I was up all night bc no hotels were available I was told I’d be given an upgrade. I wasn’t.

Very helpful staff. Had a minor issue with the car and they quickly traded it in for a different one.A little tricky to find the office. There’s a sign, but it’s easy to miss.

Everything. The car wasn't available on Friday, the agency closed earlier. Leaving me no choices than cancelling my WE plans. Finally got another car (completely different quality of car by the way...) on Saturday morning. And to end up the process they overcharged me even more and I had to open a claim physically. Worst experience of my life whereas I am renting cars very often (over the last 2 months I rented 10 different cars with multiple companies). I will never go to Sixt and I will spread the word and advise that everyone do the same.

All was fine until SIXT dropped a surprise one after dropping it off claiming I had gashed a hubcap and asking me to fill out a ludicrous full accident report for it and asking if I called the police. Frombthe pictures they sent me I cannot for the life of me understand what they are talking about.

Good deal on the convertible car for the day. Employees were helpful at Union Square at time of visit.My reservation said to pick up my car at Fisherman's Wharf but the car wasn't there so I had to go to Union Square to pick it up, but the employee at Fisherman's Wharf told me I had to call customer service myself and let them know I was coming. Then at Union Square, the employees had a difficult - lengthy - time figuring out how to switch everything for me to rent the car. Overall it took 2 hours to rent this car when most of the time was spent waiting. Not employees fault, the system seems to be partially broken.
