There was no shuttle when we arrived a Greenville Spartanburg airport. As it turned out they had given our car away and had none left. They did not contact us at all. We were not the only people left stranded at the airport at 11:00pm by Thrifty.

I ordered a passenger vehicle. I will as given a new truck. It was a very nice truck but it was a very big step up to get into the truck. My problem is that I have arthritis in my hips and this becomes painful

Staff was great. Was very busy and still kept a sense of humor. We were running late for the airport, as usual, and they got us onto the shuttle and to the airport quickly.Can't ask for more than pleasant people doing a good job with a great attitude.

NothingThey gave away my reservation to someone else, because they said they could not reach me for full payment, even though they take your information for the reservation... oh and we were supposed to be renting a van to drive back home for the holidays...

The location of the rental location. It's not T the airport. You have to call the courtesy phone in order for someone to come and pick you up but you cannot find the courtesy phone anywhere you have to go and find someone who works at the airport and ask them where to get to thrifty rental once you call thrifty on the courtesy phone you have to go back outside stand in the middle of the road and wait for the shuttle to come pick you up and take you to the thrifty location but it states that the location is at the airport which it is not

I was able to pick up and drop off at 2 different airports.Drop off was a nightmare. I still don't know if I was charged correctly or if there were any other problems. I won't use Hertz again following this experience.

I honestly can say there is not anything to mention for this question. It's offsite from the airport so you have to take a shuttle where as other car rentals are onsite. The shuttle was on par with airport shuttle service, nothing extraordinary, although it wasn't clear where to catch the shuttle. However, the advantage of them being offsite is possibly less taxes but I haven't looked close enough at the receipt to say whether that's true or not or compensates for the extra effort (although it's minimal effort).Don't offer me a manager's upgrade when I can see there are no cars in the lot in the class I reserved. Ask me if I would be willing to take the class of vehicle you do have available instead. In other words, don't play the situation like you're doing me a favor when you actually need me to do you a favor. Also don't pitch a truck like it's a good thing when it uses more gas than a car would. When you are on a vacation and sightseeing, a truck isn't good for parking in city spaces. I was asked where I was going so all of this information was known to the agent. If I say I'm willing to wait until my reservation time but you'd rather get me out the door now, don't charge me extra for it. I did accept the extra charge but I would be more likely to give an excellent rating if you didn't try to earn an extra $20 off of me for something I didn't need and told you I didn't need but you tried to sell as money they would probably take back off when I brought it back early anyway. I had no plans to be back early and I said so. What is $20 to a large corporation? It makes me less inclined to rent from Thrifty in the future. Especially, when the quality of the service is not excellent and your competitor is only a few bucks difference. People will pay a few bucks extra when they know excellent service comes with it. The vehicle could have been cleaned before giving it to me to use. When the door was opened and the floor mat was covered in sand, it was taken around to get it cleaned up and they vacuumed the driver's side mat but didn't bother to check the rest of the vehicle so they had two chances to provide their customer with a clean vehicle and didn't. There was spilt coffee or something like it in the middle console, leftover residue of some kind in the cup holders, garbage tucked in places, etc. To boot, this happened as COVID-19 was ramping up and lots of companies were already sending emails about their cleaning procedures and heightened precautions. Not Thrifty. Finally, when I brought the vehicle back and was asked how everything was, I said it was fine, although, the vehicle was not clean. It was the same agent that had assisted me when I picked up the vehicle so he knew and said it can't always be done right (essentially, I wish I could remember his exact words now). That was an amazing statement I thought. So he did give me a 10% discount which is a good customer service thing to do, but only if it saves me money. I was still in the end charged more for the rental then I had reserved it for. So again, don't act like you're doing me a solid when you really aren't.
