They had no cars to rent, so even when we had a car reserved months ago, We were stranded at the airport in a foreign country with no car. Not to be trusted. Unreliable.

Still haven’t heard about the $75 “gas” replacement fee that was supposed to be refunded if car was returned with a full tank(which it was). The rental lot in st kitts was poorly demarcated and staffed

Bo shuttle from cruise port to rental. Agent took forever to complete paperwork. The rental reservation was "lost" in their system even after me showing them the confirmation email. The day after I received an email telling me I didn't return the vehicle even after the rental company taking me back to the port (a plus). Car was clean but not full (3/4 full). Ended up paying 15 usd to drive the car only 35 miles.

There is an office at the airport but no one was in. We waited 15 minutes then tried the number. No answer. We tried the other office and got hold of someone who said they would call us back. 20 minutes later a van showed up to take us to our hotel and said they had no cars available. We got checked in and then I tried both numbers multiple times and nobody answered. Finally at 5 pm (we arrived at 2) someone answered only to be told the office closed at 4:30. I called the next morning and was told they would call me back. Around 11 am they called and said they had found a car but it was with Avis. They picked us up and drove us to Avis. Unfortunately when we got there Avis said they hadn’t discussed rates so we ended up paying 20% more because at this point we just needed a car. 1. We appreciate that Thrifty was out of cars because people had failed to return them on time. And appreciate the work behind the scenes to get us rides and find a car but the communication was not very good. Another couple was trying to drop their car at the airport but there wasn’t anyone to greet them. With the ability to communicate more we could easily have just used that car possibly. As it was they didn’t even know it had been dropped off

NEVER RENT FROM HERE. This agency was horrible. We had our reservation months in advance and arrived and they closed the office for the day. No one answered any phones at any of the Avis locations to help. Beyond disappointing and terrible. If you are going to close then don’t take reservations from people in the first place. Or at least cancel the confirmed reservation so we can make alternative arrangements. NEVER RENT FROM HERE! I would very much appreciate compensation in the along of $140 USD bed used that is the cost of our pivot for the day but I am sure Avis will never attempt a guest service recovery.
