I accidentally placed an order for a car at a different hertz 25 minutes down the road. I thought I had ordered from the hertz by the airport. The rep I was working with wanted to help me but didn’t know how. It is also of note that the place 25 minutes away, closed at noon, and I had a 1 pm pick up. So even if I made it to the correct place, I would have still been out of a car. After the rep roamed the building for 15 minutes trying to find out how to help me he came back and told me I had to call the 1-800 number, that they couldn’t help me. I called, and every time the automated service would hang up on me. I was in town for a wedding, and fortunately a friend was able to come pick me up. While I waited, all the reps yelled to each other about looking forward to getting drunk that night, not once asking if I needed any help. Hertz should change their name to Hurts.

It is important for you to clearly tell your customers whether the rental car location is at the airport or remote locations - please make an effort to more clearly point out this distinction - thank you!

Staff are so rude.Very bad experience, very dirty and nasty inside.First safety, vehicle have lots of problems, without checking and any service, they put in rent and have shows lots of mechanical issues, on way driving, and this is very worse experience I get from hertz. I will never rent any car from this Hertz, and will never recommend to my friends and family.

E wry thing was tops. From check in to return. Chris was awesome. He explained everything. He Showed me the features of the can. He Gave me his hours in case I needed anything. Just really extended the customer service. I’d rent here again. BRAVO!!

The person that processed my transaction was friendly and efficientCar smelled like tobacco smoke and windshield was very dirty. Otherwise, everything was just as expected. The Corolla was comfortable.

We rented a cargo van, so the space was nice and the seats were super comfortable.Where to start? Van pickup-Van was dirty, there was writing on the driver's side window, and it only had 1/4 tank of gas. Total trip was 24 hours, van overheated 5 hours into trip. Coolant reservoir was empty so had to replace with 8 personal water bottles until we could get antifreeze. Called Hertz-could only get automated responses saying that it was upwards of 75 minutes to connect with an agent. Started texting and was told to drop off at nearest location, however, would not provide us with nearest location. Got antifreeze and refilled the reservoir which was empty again. Limped to destination for the night. Still not able to contact anyone from Hertz. Next morning, check the antifreeze and looked like it was holding. Drove 30 minutes, stopped to get gas and noticed fluids were leaking from the van. Again, called Hertz and nothing. Looked up the nearest Hertz, drove there only to find they were closed on Sundays. Find another Hertz, drove there only to find that location was closed permanently. Went into Budget (which was nearby to were Hertz was supposed to be) to see if we could rent something but they didn't provide one way rentals-at least we were able to talk with a real person. Budget told us to talk with Avis, which was located in the airport where Hertz was supposed to be. Walked into Avis and talked with Avis and Enterprise, who were both sold out. Told them our story about not being able to get in contact with anyone from Hertz-"no wonder they are going out of business". Avis & Enterprise, told us to take it to get fixed and gave us the name and address of repair shop. Took it to repair shop which fortunately was open on Sunday morning. Repair shop fixed a hose pipe that had come undone, and four hours later we were on our way. Had Hertz done an initial check of the van-they may have noticed something was amiss but my guess is their incompetence was the problem. Still no call or text to make sure we were alright, But it doesn't end there-time to take the van back. Our contract showed the address to drop off the van, and when we get there-there is not a Hertz in sight. Luckily, a security guard was able to point us in the right direction. We dropped off the car and were told to leave the keys in the car but never asked about our experience. Bottom line: we will never, ever, ever rent from Hertz again. It was the worst rental experience we have ever had. As Avis, Enterprise, Budget, and the repair guy said-"no wonder they are going out of business". They left us stranded and if it weren't for the fact my husband knows a little about cars, we could have been in real trouble. Thanks for nothing Hertz-no wonder you are going out of biusiness!
