Pros: the staff was extremely lovely and friendly . welcoming and very cheerful when ever they were around . rooms were comfy and clean but maybe a sink for the rooms instead of using water from bathroom that's a bit unhygienic. however the facilities were good .

Cons: how the garden buffet was closed although there were other options but I found pricing quite dear . waiting time for food took a bit of time although the waiters and staff around was apologising about the delay of food . a little bowl of hot fries for $10.00 was ridiculous for that small portion? however its just a few suggestions that maybe could help for future . you provide teapot jug and glass and cups but no water/sink besides bathroom sink?

Pros: The staff were really friendly, professional & helpful. The reception area & restaurant were being renovated during our stay. They worked exceptionally hard so credit to them. However it definitely impacted on guests.

Cons: The temporary restaurant was poor. We ate a terrible dinner there. Tables & chairs being moved around us while we ate warmed up food. No sign of management who at the very least could have offered a free drink if not a discount for the guest inconvenience. Access to the pool was also a problem as you had to go round the workmen.

Cons: Many many thx to the duty manager. You did a great job man :)

Dennis,at the bar,restaurant,was cheerful and very helpful.Dinner;soup n steamed ika was most flavorful and presented tastefully! The Fijian Band was Great :happy to play a couple of my requests...The room was clean and very pleasantly decorated.Air con worked perfect,bed was comfortable,lots of clean towels etc.It was a delight spending the night,and I will positivley stay at the Gateway on my next layover...Bula ,,,Vinaka !

Pros: I liked the room as it was very spacious and private. Not overly packed with travellers and good place to begin with if you are going to islands on the next day. The staff were very friendly and always smile and ready for what you need. Didn't have any trouble with getting what we want.

Cons: However, the restaurant wasn't up to par against the service of the hotel. Food was served very slowly and waiting for our brunch took 30-40 mins. Even before that on another occasion, waiting for our $10 change took 20 mins and delayed our next destination's timing. The staff didn't even apologize and didn't look sorry about it. Food choices were limited if you are at this hotel so be prepared for it with some other food ready if you want to be a happy camper for the food at the restaurant.

Cons: „Family Villa“ is a total overstatement for just a large room with 4 beds. These are not individual buildings (as the term „Villa“ would indicate), you will hear your 3 other neighbors. Lighting is dull. We did not find the breakfast too attractive either (it is FJD 20/30 or a la carte). Overall maintenance situation of the entire facility is so-so (windows have only shutters and do not absorb sound, light falling off the wall in bathroom etc.).

Pros: We really enjoyed the room, it was clean and spacious. Also really enjoyed the dining room/cafeteria area. Weren't able to use the pool but looked really good.

Pros: Good location for our short stay and easy to get to port with free shuttle bus.

Cons: Our room was in a building separate from the reception and main restaurant and was quite noisy.

Pros: The staff at the hostel was really friendly and welcoming. The location is so continent, many good restaurant and bars nearby, 1 minute walk to the beach, and less than 1 minute walk to the information desk to book your trip if you haven't done before your arrival. I recommend to people who is going to visiting Fiji first time to stay here.

Cons: I just didn't know that the bathroom are shared with others but for the money I paid for the accommodation, I think is good value for money.

Pros: For a hostel everything was very good. Loved the pool. Air con in room was great. Nice outdoor area. Very close to beach but away from any noise. I booked the cheapest dorm room which was just fine. Great value. Getting help or information from helpful staff very easy.

Pros: Extremely nice and helpful staff. Great pool and area to relax. Quiet location just a minute walk to the beach. Good bus service into town. The food is the best. Free entertainment including kava ceremonies. Well run business. Aggie who looks after Bluewater Lodge is a darling.

Cons: Not forget, this people giving you a accomodation on economic price. Be realistic.. For this price Can't be a 5 star all inclusive brand new fancy hotel. Ewerything was basic and simple, and definetely not new. Nothing special, but it was clean and lovely helpful people. Right on the beach, but beach allso not your dream beach, and nothing exciting around.

Pros: Only thing was the location. In front of the beach, but this year , a Cyclone ruined the beach and the hotel facilities also needs upgrade. Too many items broken and missing.

Cons: Hotel Security, people tried to break into our Horel Room, but no one cared, almost rang the police. No Full Resturant, its a lie, they only have a Limited Breakfast selection only, Not acceptable at all. No where else to eat and drink. Hotel doesn't offer other Resturant options, takeaway or Maps ofnother locations.Its Very Far from Local Shops, it has limited facilties and the Rooms are Expensive compared to other Hotels in Nadi with much more Facilities available for hotel guests at a cheaper price as well.

Pros: It is what it is. I was in Nadi on a 15-hour layover between Melbourne & LA, so I just wanted access to a beach, so under $20US for a bed & locker in a dorm room was totally worth it for beachfront access. The rod & showers were dirty, and the Pirate Dorm smelled so awful (like a monster mix of body odor, feet, and fish), that I couldn't nap in there as planned. And I'd advise wearing flip flops in the showers to avoid mold or fungus. BUT the beach is awesome, the staff is friendly, the restaurant is surprisingly excellent, I got a fantastic massage at the spa, and they have all sorts of activities available. No idea what the more expensive rooms are like, I'm sure much better than the dorms. But it was definitely worth the $20 to be right on their beautiful beach for the day.

Location is very recommendable if you are planning to take the boat from Port Denarau to one of the islands. The bar and terrace views is great.

Cons: The AC kept leaking, almost flooding the room so we had to turn it off - no fun with such temperatures. It was very dirty and looked like nobody cleaned the room in the past week. The mini bar was molding, just like the whole shower. Everything is run down and very old. Even the plastic chairs on the balcony looked like they were 30 years old. It was also very loud. They blasted music on the terrace and in the lobby through the whole building. Renovation is much needed!!

Pros: Despite the party atmosphere the room we stayed in was quiet. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The free island dance performance is worth watching.

Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable, there were bugs in the bathroom, the surrounding beach area wasnt very nice at all. Not romantic, good for one night stay for traveling.

Cons: The room was not clean. Also, it had insects. The staff changed the room. It was slightly better. The air condition had issues, it stopped working. The room was very hot without the air condition. The technician arrived after almost an hour and fixed it. However, I felt unsafe because the technician was not accompanied by Novotel Staff, so he harrassed me inside the room. He entered into my personal space, used unprofessional and inappropriate language. I told him to leave my room and informed Novotel's staff. I requested that the matter be escalated for disciplinary action. But I have not heard from the management.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and had lovely views. The restaurant was well priced and had lots of options. The hotel is also well served by a free shuttle from the airport and free shuttle to the port! The staff were also very friendly, helpful and really helpful with printing and also arranging the port bus to come back and get me when I was late.

Cons: Receptionist area in front of an office is a bad idea because a night shifter receptionist was talking inside an office with other colleague behind a receptionist desk. we waited for her to come out at a reception desk from the office and check us in at 20:40pm made it a very long night. After we waited for 2nd shuttle bus at the airport almost 30 min, waiting for a receptionist to come out and stop talking feel very long time. Yes, when we got out from the airport the hotel shuttle bus just left for the hotel, we have to wait for 2nd bus another 20-25mjn. It turn off the bus pickup and drop off for Novotel as well as Mercury.

Pretty noisy from airport noise (which was admittedly intermittent & stopped by about 10pm. Also could hear noise from nightclubs overnight on the weekend. Pros: There is absolutely nothing good about this property. All the photos shown on this site about this so called resort were probably taken at least 15 years ago. The property is now run down, neglected and unsafe. Also, note on booking.com the horribly personal things that they accuse every person that gives them a bad review after a review has been submitted, I expect them to do the same to me!!

Cons: I had made reservations here for 5 stays since I was using Wailoaloa Beach and Nadi as my base in order to fly to several locations around the Pacific from the nearby airport. As soon as I made the reservations, they took all them money from the credit cards and when I (later on) cancelled 2 of the stays (within the allowed time for cancellations), they refused to give me my money back, they accused me of stealing money from them and only when booking,com intervened (and after a long process), I took my money back. So be very careful with your money and with giving your credit card information to these people.

Cons: Escape from the Beach Escape Resort when you can! During my 9 nights here, we rarely had electricity, running water and the internet was faster in 1972. My room was never cleaned, I used the same sheets all these days and the garbage was never emptied. One plug in a room with one lumpy mattress, a rusty, dusty fan and broken windows all around. Warning: The room is not 20 square meters as they advertised, it is more like 6 square meters in size!!

Cons: Incredibly dirty and very dusty place, during my stay my room and the toilet were never cleaned. I had to get a dirty mop from outside in order to clean the floors on my own. I stayed in a 'villa' which was not a villa at all, just a very old building with dirty walls and broken windows all around, not a single window could be closed all the way. Since the windows were broken, I could hear all the noise and loud music played until midnight and starting at 6am. The refrigerator in the common area of this neglected 'villa' was rusty, disgusting inside from leftover foods and leaking water all over the floor. The doors to the bathroom and shower were worn out, the bottoms were black and full of dark marks and holes from people pushing them with their shoes/feet in order to open them (because they would get stuck on the door frames when you closed them). No place to put your things anywhere in the room. No hooks or shelves on the wall, I had to take my things out of the suitcase which was in corner of the small room. The only 'furniture' was a double size mattress full of lumps and a loud, ancient fan hanging from the wall, the room looked as if I was in prison somewhere and not as if I was staying in a 'resort'. But the worst thing is that the place is infested with mice, they would come out of the walls in the common area and found one in my room on at least two occasions. I told the staff and they gave me a big cement block to place over the hole on the wall of the common area. Then, the mice would come out of a hole in the shower, so I had to take pieces of wood and try to block those holes as well. I could go on but in my 35 years of travel, this was the first time where I stayed in such a dirty, mouse infested 'resort', let my words be a warning to you.. there are other, less expensive hotels/hostels in the area that will not give you nightmares.

When I checked in early in the morning of the 29 about 2 a.m I was advised that I have no booking, even I showed the front desk of confirmation number etc for that day. This is very bad customer service, and I have paid a night and I have written to management for this without any response on how this should be addressed. and I need my money refunded for this bad service. I would not stay in this hotel anymore.

Cons: We booked a private room but upon check-in we were given dorm as this hotel over books with guest and cant accommodate the exact room they booked with. The service is provided by this hotel is too slow.

Pros: The room was large family room with 3 beds and plenty of space. Location good , just 5 minutes from Nadi airport. Lot of shops and a few restaurants within walking distance. There is no lift for the building but hotel staff carry your bags up to your room- there are 3 floors.

Cons: A number of small cockroaches sighted in the room, especially at the toilet and near table with kettle / tea coffee etc. I had a large room with 3 beds. At night the lighting was poor as only 1 main light near entrance and nothing near coffee table or 3rd bed. I had 2 nights stay and the room not done up after first night. The least that is expected is clearing any garbage in the room.
