Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Nice and clean room. Sri Lankan breakfast is the highlight.

Cons: Dinner was disappointed. No flavours and not fresh. They should have a small menu and make that fresh.

Pros: The hotel is like a country house and our room was colonial style and large and well appointed Breakfast and meals were freshly cooked and generously portioned Staff were friendly and efficient The courtyard and public spaces were exceptional

Cons: Nothing really First floor room so lack of lift was not an issue In a residential area a little way from the centre but that was a good thing in many respects

Pros: The staff were great, the place has a lot of potential.

Cons: The sink in the bathroom had cracks all over. Furnitures in the room need maintenance all were worn out, lights need to be turned off individually. Which is a pain. If you are paying such rates you don’t expect to walk into the bathroom every time and see a sink like that.

Pros: The building itself, lobby.

Cons: Cracked bathroom sink and looks dirty, no power near the bed sides so an extension had to be pulled to the bedside for power. There are no master switch to the lights, so each of the lights have to be turned off individually. The door locks take forever to open with keys. Most of the fixtures in the room is worn out to the point it is nasty. Apparently house keeping was “closed” at 12am. Haven’t heard of a 5 star hotel that shuts down its house keeping. the photos below.

Pros: everything was extraordinarily comfortable, tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. first rate staff. a really beautiful hotel.

Pros: Very spacious living room and kitchen and two bathrooms with modern, clean and functional facilities. Frontdesk staff people were close to the "Hilton" quality.

Cons: One thing which was missing in the room was microwaves, which could have helped our stay much easier to eat in the room.

Pros: The room was cleaned everyday, very spacious. The hotel itself is very close to some of the sights within Colombo.

Cons: Not anything that's worth complaining about. Could use an aircon in the gym area that's about it but, who works out on their holidays though ;)

Pros: The look and feel of the place is great. The traditional setting was great and decor pleasing. The location was central. Though the breakfast choices were limited, it was enough. The place was cozy and gave very warm vibes. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Pros: What a spectacular place! It ought to be rated 12/10, with the quaint roof top pool that we didn’t know about at the time of booking. The architecture and the interior design of the property is simply divine. The breakfast is wholesome, and the staff cannot be more helpful and dedicated. Highly recommended!

Cons: Staff at reception with the hotel owner had a thing for money,charged me twice on this booking,i paid at cash and they charged me from credit card again, My girlfriend booked via agoda,cheaper price,$35 and hotel informed us that they received charges from agoda,however 2 hours later when we were outside they send us an email that they cannot honer the booking since its a mistake from agoda and they asked us to contact agoda,lady at reception was being rude and try to misdirect us and kept in the lobby until we decided to go elsewhere and they let us to go pack up,informed and they said it’s hotel mistake that they didn’t update the rate,clearly at this point I don’t blame anyone but i have seen how the hotel management was greedy for few bucks and kick out their customers,i never refused to pay extra,but after receptionist confirmed to us about the well received booking and payment they decided $35 too cheap. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone

Pros: Service. Attention to detail. Very clean. Quiet. Highly recommend without question. Photos are exactly like our stay.

Cons: Loved it all. Maybe more breakfast options especially if staying for more than 2 nights, but im being picky.

Pros: Beautiful room and bathroom. Small but well equipped gym. BEST Sri Lankan breakfast- chicken curry was amazing! Location was good- not in centre but a short tuk tuk ride away.

Cons: Small thing.... There were ants in our bathroom- only a few so not a big deal but they were there consistently.

Pros: It's difficult to give a proper review because we were there at the end of our holiday just as everything closed down due to COVID-19. Due to that, only the ground floor restaurant was open and the spa facilities weren't available. That said, the food was excellent, the pool was nice, the other facilities look fantastic, the room was very nice with a great bathroom and very comfortable bed. Considering everything that was going on, the staff were brilliant. Lockdown started on our last night, and in the morning our pre-booked taxi to the airport was unable to get past checkpoints to pick us up, so the receptionist got on the phone and rang round every place he could think of for half an hour until he found somebody else who could take us. I would definitely go back to be able to enjoy all the facilities.

Pros: Everything was excellent, from staff welcome and assistance to hotel facilities. The room was definitely a highlight, super comfortable bed, soft good quality bedsheets and pillows... Best sleep we have ever had! Another highlight of our stay was a bathroom with huge bath (something like Roman bath!) and nice shower, as well as his and hers sinks. Amazing!

Cons: Staircase was dangerous for a toddler because the handrail bars were so very far apart that even a small size adult could squeeze through. We were on the 3rd floor, no lift so had no option but use the stairs daily

Pros: This was a great choice on our last night in Sri lanka , especially considering Sri lanka was on a lockdown from our last night for 3 days because of coronavirus . The pool was a big plus , unfortunately the spa was understandably closed . The staff were very friendly and helpful . We had a meal in the restaurant , which was very tasty . The breakfast was also delicious . Overall a very good hotel

Cons: Trying to organize a taxi with the gentleman on reception to take us to the airport the next morning was a little stressful , as we could not get a definite answer if we had a taxi arranged or not because of the coronavirus lockdown , just felt he made it more awkward than necessary . But glad to say , yes we finally got to the airport in plenty of time .

Pros: Friendly staff, nice quiet place in Colombo. Many restaurants and other facilities nearby. But also the restaurant at Colombo Court has a good and nice selection. The pool area with it's trees make a nice place to sit and enjoy. The rooftop bar is a nice place to enjoy a beer during the evening.

Cons: Well, the pool was rather small. Seemed bigger in the picture. Though the size is normal for Colombo standards.

Pros: Staff was extremely helpful in sorting out unlocking an iPhone X.

Cons: The paper footballers in lobby are a bit tacky - but no issues. I love the courtyard!

Pros: The staff here are just amazing! They can't do enough for you. We had to work for a couple of days and they helped us with everything from AC to going to a printing shop for us. The pool is great and there is a small gym. It is the staff that make the difference here.

Pros: Lodging, amenities and atmosphere - very good. Peaceful, relaxing and quiet hideaway place. Best place to enjoy alone time. Very good service and very much flexible with guest requirements.

Pros: It is full of home coming memory. The owner is so kind and make a good breakfast after discussed with us. We brought some local fruit such as wood apple, she showed us the way to eat it and actually made a traditional desert from our fruits. She also kindly enough to help us get tuktuk and car for our trip to the different parts of city.

Cons: When I arrived they didn't have my booking. even showing them that I have received 1 email for confirmation, 1 more for acknowledgment time of my arrival and 1 more to offer me a transfer from the airport.They insisted that it was not there but my driver helped me to translate. Also when I came down for breakfast the men asked me why you eat so late (9:30am) and the breakfast was cold. The bed has a very tiny bed sheet to cover you.

Cons: View from balcony not extraordinary, but we weren't there to look at the view Small issue with the bathroom sink not emptying, but should be solved by now. Not welcoming fresh juice (first time in 2 weeks tour)

Pros: Breakfast very good. Both the owner and the caretaker of the property very welcoming and helpful. The caretaker always obliged with all my requests and was polite and professional throughout my stay and very hard working. Room very spacious and the bathroom and toilet also spacious and very clean. Completely safe and freedom is not interrupted.

Cons: Room does not have hanger facilities though there was a huge cupboard in the room. No ironing or laundry facilities. Because there was only one caretaker, sometimes you get locked inside of the external gate when he goes out on errands. So, at times, you have to wait till he returns to go out. But usually it was only a short wait.

Pros: Given the price point this is one of the best in Colombo. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast spread was good.

Cons: WiFi was not up to the mark. Each time I had to log in to acces WiFi.

Pros: Seems like majority of the staff were young students or doing their practical stint so they were very friendly, always smiling and eager to help. Breakfast spread was great and hotel had a small rooftop bar on the 8th floor.

Cons: Not an ideal location as it seems to be in a business district with no restaurants or shops nearby. No toiletries in room but after asking was delivered to us. Water pressure was low and not hot.

Pros: Staffs are extremely nice, food portion is big, I could not even finish my Chicken Biryani at their on site restaurant. VU rooftop bar is also nice.

Pros: It is a nice clean hotel with clean and well apportioned rooms and bathrooms.

Cons: Too far from the city center which requires about 30 to 45 minutes drive. That makes it difficult for tourists and even business community. It also does not have a bar - the present bar is non-alcoholic. The restaurant facilities are basic with limited menu and the morning buffet breakfast is fairly simple. In the absence of any market near by there not many dining options.

Pros: This was my second stay within Best Western chain. Bestwestern Colombo was far better than BestWestern Oslo. Spacious rooms, excellent job by the housekeeping team.

Cons: We wanted to use the minibar, unfortunately it was empty.
