The price was great!I did not appreciate the fact that the car did not have a full tank of gas when I got in it. I also did not appreciate that the car smelled like an old stale bar. Clearly the person or people who had rented the vehicle before me smoked in the vehicle and left their stench.

Late notification mThey called me at 4;15 to confirm the reservation. Then 30 minutes later called to tell me they didn’t have any vans of any kind in stock to rent to me. They waited until almost 5 pm to notify me of the problem (which boiled down to they had to keep them for FEMA) and I almost didn’t have a van. Luckily I was able to call around and locate a van at Enterprise next door with no problem And it ended up being almost $100 cheaper overall.

Local reps were friendly and professional - they tried, but...Did not have the type of car I reserved, and no suitable alternatives.

Location out of rentals and charged $20 at different locationReserved at the downtown location but upon arrival was told they didn’t have any one-way vehicles available so I had to travel another 15 minutes to the airport to get my vehicle. Luckily the airport had a rental available but they charged me an additional $20 due to higher airport tax. In my opinion, I should have been compensated for driving the additional distance for a rental I reserved elsewhere, not charged additional monies.

Convenient location. I reported all problems to Steve, the manager. He seems to have a good handle on things at this location. He gave me a 1 day discount for inconveniences. As far as I am concerned, Steve saved the day for Hertz and myself.However, corporate set me up with a 12pm appointment. This location closes at 12pm on Saturdays. If I did not arrive early this experience could have gotten ugly. I noted a large stain on the passengers front seat. Rep said not to worry, she took pics of the car. I checked the pics later on my computer. No pics were taken of the stain or, in fact, this seat. My wife used her cleaning equipment and materials to take out the stain. The oil in this car needed to be changed after the first day of rental.

Excellent ServiceThe customer service was excellent! The sales associate at pickup was very pleasant and was prepared for my arrival because I booked the rental online. When I returned the vehicle, a different sales associate helped me but was just as pleasant and the return was simple. The online procedure was user friendly and the price of the rental was very reasonable.

One small thing my passenger and I noticed was there were a couple of things left from previous journeys in the glove compartment, one being the rental receipt of a previous customer and one a passenger's medicaid card.
